Twin Peaks General Hospital

"Why haven't we heard anything yet?" a worried a Cheresa stops pacing back and forth in the waiting room of the hospital before she looks over at Adam, Helen and Dale, who are in the room with her. All four of them had been at Helen's house trying to find Dawn, who didn't show up at the airport for her trip and elopement with Cheresa, when they got a phone call that Dawn had been hit by a car. Of course, they raced to the hospital, where a nurse told them that Greg had to take Dawn into emergency surgery.

"These things can take some time," Dale manages to respond to her. He looks at Adam, Helen and then Cheresa again, and can see that they are all worried sick about Dawn. He has been trying his best to keep himself together, since he knows that he is the one that hit Dawn with his car because she figured out that he has been using Helen to get a revenge on Mallory's death. He just has to ensure that no one, ever, finds out what he has done.

"Dale is right," Helen tells Cheresa as she moves up to her and pulls her into a hug. "I know the waiting can be difficult, but we have to believe that Greg is doing everything he can to save Dawn's life."

"What was Dawn doing on Main Street anyways?" Adam asks, as Dale gulps. "I mean, she left home and was supposed to meet Cheresa at the airport? Main Street is the opposite direction of the airport?"

"I just hope we can get some answers when Dawn wakes up," Cheresa bites her lower lip.

Before anyone can say anything else, Trenyce and Chris usher their way into the waiting room. "Cheresa," Chris calls out to his daughter. "We came as soon as we heard."

Cheresa gets tears in her eyes as she rushes into Chris and Trenyce's arms and they embrace in a three way hug. Trenyce uneasily smiles as she holds her sobbing daughter, realizing that this tragedy might be the thing that warms Cheresa's heart to her again.

The Robertson House; Leah & Paige's Home

"You're still here?" Leah asks Jeff as she moves into the living room of the house that she shares with Paige and sees her ex-husband about to pour himself another drink at the bar. Leah recalls how she and Jeff made love earlier in the evening; before they could talk about the events that happened, Leah got called away to the family meeting that Abby just held. Leah just assumed that Jeff would have left the house by the time she returned.

"Yea, I thought we should talk," Jeff turns and faces her. "How'd the meeting go?"

Leah groans back to him. "You don't want to know," she rolls her eyes, thinking about how Abby announced that she is taking over at the head of the Robertson family since Dominick is in a coma. "Needless to say, Abby is up to her old, self-centered, tricks again. It's late, so my family will have to figure out a way to deal with it, but tonight is not the night."

"I'm sorry to hear that," Jeff replies to her. "I guess us talking will only add to your stress?"

"Not at all," Leah smiles back to him. "We can talk, if that's what you want to do?"

Jeff uneasily chuckles back to her. "It is what I want to do," he admits to her. "As great as earlier was, Leah, it was a mistake."

Leah gulps heavily. "Right. A mistake."

"I'm thinking about proposing to Meggan; we are in a good place. The last thing that I should be doing is falling back into bed with you," Jeff tells her quickly. "I don't want to hurt you with you, Leah."

"You're not hurting me," Leah shakes her head back to him. "Earlier tonight, Jeff, I needed you. After everything that I've been through the last few months, I needed you to feel alive. I don't regret what happened because I needed it, but if you are saying you want to be with Meggan, fine. I am a big girl, I can handle it."

A surprised Jeff looks back at her. "Alright, good. I'm glad we are on the same page then, Leah."

The Pink Flamingo at the River Rock Casino

Donovan sits at the bar of the restaurant with a glass of red wine in front of him. He had been at home earlier in the evening when he got a call from Lukas, who is still in Mexico City with Meggan as they are trying to track down a lead on Olly, who is still missing, along with Jasper, who they believe kidnapped the boy. Lukas explained to his husband that he and Meggan were about to meet with her contact who, apparently, saw someone who fit Jasper's description. Donovan hopes that this lead pans out because Simona hasn't been able to come up with any other leads on Olly's whereabouts.

He takes a sip of his red wine as he continues to think about the events leading up to Olly's disappearance; he had been plotting revenge on Jasper and Lukas for their torrid affair. He had blackmailed Jasper into quitting his job as their nanny as he threatened to sue him with sexual assault as he taped Jasper massaging his legs, since Donovan was faking his paralysis. Once Jasper quit, he told him to plead guilty, which Jasper refused to do. Donovan, then, revealed that he knew that Jasper was an illegal immigrant and threated to have him deported. And, that's when Olly went missing. Lukas, of course, learned all of this and blamed Donovan for everything that happened.

"Lukas is right," Donovan sighs as he takes a sip of wine. "This is all my fault. I turned into my father; I turned into Ernesto and it came back to bite me in the ass. I…I have to change my ways. This entire mess could cost me my son," he chokes up. "I can't let that happen. We have to get you back Olly. We just have too."

The Tower's, Floor One; Andy's Condo

"That son of a bitch!" Andy groans as moves into the living room of his condo and he thinks about how he ran into Clayton earlier at the Pink Flamingo where Clayton gloated that he married Nicholas. Andy is still furious with Nicholas for marrying another man on what should have been their wedding day; but the fact that Clayton was encouraging him to drink, really makes Andy's blood boil. What's worse, he knows that he has been struggling with the idea of having a drink.

"How dare you speak to me that way," Andy grits his teeth. "It's bad enough that you stole my fiancé from me, but to tell me to have a drink? Oh no, I don't think you."

Andy stops and looks a picture of him and Nicholas that rests on the mantel of his fireplace. He throws the picture across the room causing the glass to shatter everywhere.

"Damn you both straight to hell," he yells in frustration. "And if you think I'm going to drink, you're dead wrong! I won't let you take my sobriety too. I won't!"

Robin's Townhouse

Robin moves down the stairs of her townhouse as she just finished putting Dominique and Oscar to sleep. Earlier in the evening, she was thrilled to get discharged from the hospital since she, and Oscar, are doing extremely well after she gave birth to him in the elevator.

She looks at the bar and wishes she could have a glass of wine but since she is breastfeeding, she knows that she will have to settle for some sparkling water, which she pours into a glass.

As she takes a sip of it, she can't help but think about how before she was released from the hospital, Cory told her that they couldn't move forward with their relationship as long as she had any unresolved feelings for Antonio. The truth is, she has always found him very charming and enchanting, but she put that aside because she can't deny that she has history and an attraction to Cory. Still, when Antonio kissed her, she felt a spark. But, she knows that she would rather be with Cory because deep down, she loves him and always has.

"I have to make Antonio realize that we can only be friends," she whispers to herself. "I want to be with Cory and he is going to have to accept that."

She sets her glass down when she hears her doorbell ring. She rushes to the door so the bell doesn't wake her children. She is surprised to see Antonio standing there, with another bouquet of roses for her.

"I heard you got released and wanted to ensure you made it home safely, and that you had flowers to remind you of me," he says as he moves into the foyer of the townhouse.

"Well, thank you," Robin smiles back to him. "I made it home and both of my children are sleeping upstairs, thankfully. You didn't have to get me more roses."

"Of course I did," Antonio replies to her. "You deserve to know that you are appreciated."

"Thank you," she tells him. "I'm glad that you stopped by, actually."

"Oh? Still thinking about the kiss at the hospital?" he chuckles back to her.

"Actually yes," she tells him as she sets the roses down on the coffee table in the living room. "That can't happen again, Antonio. I told you, we can just be friends. I, I am in love with Cory; he is the man that I want to kiss me. I am sorry if that upsets you, but it's how it has to be, okay?"

Antonio feels his blood boil in his veins but he forces a smile on his face. "Of course," he nods to her. "I won't overstep again, I value your friendship too much."

"Great, thanks," Robin smiles to him. "I'm glad we got that out of the way."

The Tower's, The Penthouse; Cory's Home

"I hope you don't mind that I want to sleep here tonight instead of the mansion," Sophie tells Cory as she sinks into the sofa wearing her pj's. The last thing that she wanted was to go back to the Calimo mansion and see Natasha again; she is still trying to figure out why her dying mother is back in bed with Shane as it doesn't make sense to her. She is hoping that some time away from the house will give her some clarity.

"I never mind having you here, you know that," Cory chuckles back to her. "Besides, I've been so busy with Robin and baby Oscar, it feels like we haven't had a lot of time together lately. What's going on with you? How are you liking the job at Roboto?"

Sophie leans up on the sofa to let her father sit next to her. "I am really enjoying it," she admits to him. "I am glad that Mom gave me the chance. I wasn't sure how she would feel after everything that happened at boarding school."

"Speaking of, have you heard from the school? They expelled you, but they were going to complete an investigation to see if you would be able to return?"

"I haven't heard a thing," Sophie tells him. "But I would think they will contact you or Mom."

"Good point, I suppose I'll let you know if I hear anything."

"Speaking of Mom, have you seen her? How do you think she is doing?"

"I haven't seen her in a while, why do you ask? Has she taken a turn for the worse?" Cory asks her, hoping that Natasha isn't close to passing away.

"I…I don't know," Sophie admits to him. "She's very close to Shane and I'm not sure what to make of that."

"Well, I don't know that it's any of our business," Cory informs his daughter. "Your mother has a lot of people in her life that she is close too; I don't think we should gossip about it; we should just be there for her while we can."

Sophie uneasily nods back to him. "I guess you're right, I shouldn't worry about it."

The Cascade Apartments; Cassie, Max & Carter's Home

"You're still up?" Max asks as he opens the front door of the apartment that he shares with his mother and younger brother and sees Cassie sitting on the sofa with a glass of red wine in her hand. "I thought you would have been in bed by now."

"I'm up," Cassie stands up and looks at her son. "How was work? Do you want me to fetch you a beer or a wine?"

"I'll take a beer for sure," Max nods back to her. "And work was fine. We are busy because of Natasha's illness. Surprisingly, her being sick is causing a spike in volumes."

"Is that so?" she asks him as she passes him a beer from the fridge. "I'm not sure what to believe anymore."

Max arches his eyebrow as he cracks the beer open. "What does that mean?"

"It means," Cassie looks back at him. "Something isn't right with this, I just can't figure it out."

"What do you think is going on?"

"I don't know but I am determined to figure this out Max. My entire future with Jacob depends on it," she replies to him. "The fact is, Natasha's dying wish is causing Jacob to invest his future with Isabelle, but why would Natasha claim that is her dying wish? Jacob barely knows Isabelle?"

"I wish I knew the answer to that," Max shakes his head back to her. "But Isabelle is all in. She even ended things with me because she always had feelings for Jacob. So, this wedding is happening."

"Oh no it's not," Cassie warns him. "I will stop that wedding. I just have to figure out how."

Twin Peaks General Hospital

"You guys didn't have to come you know," Cheresa tells Chris and Trenyce as they are huddled together in the corner of the waiting room of the hospital.

"Of course we did," Trenyce replies to her daughter. "We know how much Dawn means to you. We came as soon as we heard."

"Does anyone know what happened yet?" Chris asks her next.

Cheresa shakes her head back to him as she feels her eyes swell with water. "We just know that she was at home; her bags were packed to come meet me at the airport, but she ended up on Main Street and while she was crossing the road…" Cheresa gasps for air as she gets more tears streaming down her face. "Someone…hit…her…with…their…car."

"My God," Trenyce wraps her arm around Cheresa's neck and pulls her into a half hug. "Who would do that? And then drive off without seeing if Dawn was okay?"

"That's what the police will have to figure out," Chris tells them. "But that doesn't matter right now. What matters is that Dawn makes it out of surgery, which I am sure she will. She will be okay, Cheresa. We have to believe that."

"I still can't believe this is happening," Helen tells Adam on the other end of the waiting room. "Our beautiful little girl was left for dead by some driver? This seems surreal."

"I know," Adam grabs her hand and squeezes it. "Greg is a great doctor, though. I have faith that he will do everything he can to keep Dawn with us."

"There's no other option," Helen looks at him with red eyes. "Dawn has to make it. She has too."

"Where'd Dale get off too?" Adam asks her.

"He went to get some coffee. He'll be back."

Before Adam can say anything else, Simona Lopez enters the waiting room and moves up to the parents. "Adam, Helen," she says as they stand up and look at the detective. "I know this isn't a good time, but I'm hoping you can give me some details on your daughter's hit and run?"

"Of course," Adam nods back to her. "Anything to find the son of a bitch that did this to Dawn."

***

Dale opens the door to the cafeteria at the hospital and moves inside. He breathes a sigh of relief when he realizes that he is alone in the room.

"Okay, stay calm Dale," he whispers to himself. "No one knows that you were driving that car that hit Dawn. You had to keep her quiet, she was going to blow everything for you."

He shuts his eyes as he recalls taking his car to an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of town. Then, he took an Uber back into town before anyone knew that he was missing.

"No one will ever find out what you did," he says. "And, now, I just have to make sure that Dawn doesn't wake up and spill her guts to everyone. I have to make sure that she never wakes up again."
