Scene One -- The Tower’s, Floor Eight; Victoria’s Condo

Victoria opens the door to her condo and sees Chris standing there. Tall, dark and handsome, Chris flashes his smile to her. Victoria takes a deep breath and lets him in the apartment. It has been so long for her to be in a place with a man that she actually thinks of in a romantic way. She doesn’t remember any of her time with Adam, thanks to her D.I.D, so the last man she remembers being with is Shane, when they were married. As he walks over to the sofa, she can’t help but smile and think that she is lucky to have met Chris. Neither one of them was looking for anything sort of relationship, and they were just good friends until they shared a kiss at Capers a few weeks ago. Still, while it came as a surprise, it was a pleasant surprise. It made Victoria realize that she has genuine feelings for Chris. She doesn’t know, however, how is feeling about her. He is recently separated from Daisy and he admitted to her that he was the one that cheated on her. At the time, Victoria didn’t care about the details, but the more she has thought about it the more she would like to know. The last thing she wants is to get into another relationship, only to be hurt once again.

“I love what you’ve done with the place,” Chris announces as he looks around. It is the first time he has been to Victoria’s apartment. He looks at her and sees her smile, making his heart skip a little faster. He isn’t ready for a brand new relationship, but he can’t deny that Victoria makes him feel something he hasn’t felt in a long time.

“Thanks. Since I’m only at work part time, I’ve had a lot of time to redecorate. I’m sorry I haven’t had you over sooner,” she says back to him with a shy smile.

“It’s cool. Seems like Capers always had our numbers.”

Victoria makes her way over to the coffee table, where she has a bottle of red wine breathing. “I thought we could have wine,” she says as she hands him a glass.

Chris accepts with a grin. “Thank you. Shall we toast?”

“Absolutely, I’ll let you do the honours.”

Chris stops and thinks for a moment of an appropriate toast. “To new beginnings with existing friends,” he smiles as they move their glasses together. They both take a drink after they cheers. “I haven’t been able to stop thinking…”

Victoria sets her glass down. “Oh? About what?”

“This,” Chris says as he moves in and kisses her again. Their lips touch and at first it’s a soft kiss. Soon, it becomes more passionate as Victoria moves her hand into his hair. His tongue enters her mouth and caresses her tongue repeatedly. His hand moves down to her butt and he pushes her in closer to him. They pause only for a moment and then continue with their kiss. Suddenly, a cell phone starts to ring. She parts trying to catch her breath. Chris realizes that it’s his phone.

“Who this is has horrible timing,” he says picking up his phone. “Hello … Daisy hey,” Chris says into the phone. Victoria looks away quickly becoming uncomfortable that she is kissing Daisy’s husband, since the divorce hasn’t been finalized yet. “Whoa? What? You’re at the hospital now? … Yea, okay. I’m on my way,” he closes his phone as his conversation comes to an end.

“You have to leave?” Victoria asks turning to him with a brave face. She doesn’t want him to go.

“Trencye is in labour,” he announces. “I should be there for the family. You understand, right?”

“Of course. Give Trenyce and the new baby my best,” Victoria smiles back to him, not sure if he is really leaving for the baby, or because Daisy called him and asked him to come.

Scene Two – Twin Peaks General Hospital; Trenyce’s Room

“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,” Trenyce screams as Daisy holds her hand. Trenyce is sweating bullets as her legs are spread and covered with a blue cloth. Shane is on the other end of her watching as the baby slowly comes out.

“You’re doing great, keep pushing,” Shane encourages her as he can see the crown of the baby’s head.

“Ahhhhhhhhh, I … I’m so tired,” Trenyce says in between breathes. She has never felt any thing like this kind of pain before. She just wants the baby to be out now.

“You’re almost done, keep going. I’m right here,” Daisy tells her niece. Daisy hears Trenyce groan again as she pushes. While things have been tense between them lately, mostly because Daisy knows that Trenyce slept with Chris, she would never let Trenyce go through this experience alone. She loves her family, regardless of what has happened, and she is more than happy to be there with her for the birth of her child. She also knows that Andy was not feeling up to being in the delivery, something she didn’t question even though she is thinking that maybe she should have. Why would the father of not want to see his baby being born?

“One more push should do it,” Shane says, his hands firmly between Trenyce’s legs now.

Trenyce shuts her eyes and gives one final, long, painful push. She feels like her body is being split in half. The pain is almost unbearable, and then suddenly it starts to ease itself. When she opens her eyes, she sees her blue baby for the first time. Shane starts to wipe it and the blue soon turns to a red skin. Suddenly, Trenyce hears her baby cry for the first time. Tears immediately rush to her eyes, even though they are lost in the large beads of sweat that are also on her face.

Shane finishes cleaning off the baby and passes it to Trenyce. “Trenyce, this is your baby. You’re baby boy,” Shane smiles as he hands her the child.

Trenyce looks at Shane as he puts the child into her arms. “I have a baby boy?” she smiles as she looks at the infant she is now holding. No matter what she has done during her pregnancy, everything was for her child. To protect her beloved son. Lying to Andy to get him to marry her to ensure Chris would never take him away from her now seemingly feels all worth it, even though Andy is livid at her. She scolds herself quickly for thinking of these things right now; she just wants to love her son.

“He’s beautiful,” Daisy chimes in, still next to Trenyce.

“I don’t know how to thank you,” Trenyce says looking over at Daisy. Another guilt pain strikes Trenyce as she knows she probably doesn’t deserve Daisy’s love and understanding.

“You don’t have too. That’s what family is for. I’ll go get Andy for you, okay?”

Scene Three -- Twin Peaks General Hospital; Leah’s Room

Leah stands beside her bed as she finishes packing her small duffle bag. She is getting released in a few moments, and she couldn’t be happier. She is grateful that she is healthy enough to leave the hospital. She is tired of feeling cooped up in the hospital and more importantly, she is tired of the hospital food.

She thinks back to her chat with Meggan the other day and how close they felt. She has not felt that close to Meggan in a long time because for the better part of the last year, she has been working to put Meggan behind bars for killing Noah. Yet, she is so grateful to her for saving her life. Not many people would donate their kidney to another human being, yet alone someone that had been so mean and cruel to them like Leah had been to Meggan. She shakes her head knowing that she really can’t do more than what she did: thank Meggan.

She turns her head and sees Robbie enter her hospital room. He looks over at his wife and can’t help but smile. A few weeks ago, he was worried sick that she may not survive; now he is getting to take her home. He has never been so grateful in all of his life.

“Are you ready?” he asks as he approaches her.

“So ready, I can’t wait to be home again.”

“You know you have to take it easy. I will wait on you hand and foot!”

Leah laughs. “You better not, or I may get used to it and want that all the time!”

Robbie hugs his wife. “If it meant having you healthy, I would do that. You have no idea how scared I was Leah. I love you so much.”

“I love you too,” she whispers before they share a tender kiss. “Let’s go home, shall we?”

Scene Four -- The Glubbs House; Shane & Cassie’s Home

Cassie looks at herself in the large mirror in the master bedroom. She has soft pink eye-shadow on and she is applying a soft pink lip stick and gloss. Her hair is curled and she has her bangs pulled back neatly. She smiles to herself then she pats her growing stomach. Tonight she is getting married! Not only is she getting married, she is marrying the man of her dreams in Shane. She is finally getting everything she has wanted for so long. Shane and Natasha are over, she’s carrying Shane’s baby and after tonight, she’ll be married to him.

She turns herself around as she continues to feel proud of herself. She really didn’t even have to do that much to get what she wanted. Sure, she took fertility drugs to ensure that she’d get pregnant; and she did blackmail Olivia and Preston into her corner. She hasn’t really had to use them for anything yet, but she feels safe with them in her corner. At the same time, she knows that Olivia has been a godsend since she has been cramping with the baby so often.

As she stands and begins to put her dress on, she wonders why she gets her cramps so often. Is that normal for pregnant women? Everything that she has read online about pregnancy doesn’t mention anything about cramping. Of course, Cassie has not brought it up to her OBGYN or Shane because she does not want them to worry about her. She just wants to deliver the healthiest baby possible for Shane. As the dress slides over her back, Cassie suddenly gets another jarring cramp in her stomach. She kneels over and hopes that it passes. It does quickly, this time.

She walks back over to her vanity and takes a glass of water. “I’m fine. I have to be fine, I’m getting married tonight,” she tells herself as she drinks the water.

Suddenly, she gets an idea. The final thing that would tonight even more perfect. If Natasha could see her and Shane say I do. A wicked smile comes across her face as she walks over to her cell phone and begins to a dial a number.

Scene Five -- Wild Night

Kim and Ryan sit in a booth side by side as they each take another sip of their drink. After meeting at the club the previous day, Ryan asked Kim to join him again for another drink. He is intrigued by her as she is one of the few people that actually knew his brother, Jackson. The fact that Jackson tormented Kim and she still cared about him on some level says a lot to him. He isn’t sure where this new found friendship will lead, but he is glad that he has met someone that may understand him, understand that what he does isn’t always legal. If Kim could understand Jackson, why not him too?

“Are you having a good time?” he asks as he takes another drink of his gin and tonic. He looks over at her as she takes a drink of her cosmopolitan martini.

Kim looks at him as she takes a drink into her hand. She smiles at the young, attractive man sitting next to her. Kim, much like Ryan, has apprehension about getting involved with someone at this stage of her life. She just ended her relationship with Jeff because she realized he is still in love with Leah, and while she would never admit this to anyone, especially Ryan, she is a little unsettled about the prospects of dating Jackson’s brother. Still, the fact that she has another male companion is something she could get used too.

“Of course, it’s great being here with you,” she smiles back to him. “So tell me, what do you do? Like for work, I mean.”

Ryan arches his eyebrow. He knew that this question would arise sooner rather than later. “I do a lot of freelance stuff,” he says casually, trying to get Kim from prying anymore into his drug selling way of life. “Yourself?”

“I work for the Sun. The newspaper. I am a reporter,” Kim says full of pride. She has always loved her job at the Sun. At the same time though, Ryan is freaked out even more. He is attracted to Kim, but is it really wise for him to be seeing a reporter?

Ryan takes another drink and some of the lime in his drink ends up on the top of his lip. Kim sees it and starts to laugh a little.

“What’s so funny?” he asks smiling back at her, oblivious to the lime on his lip.

“You just have some … here let me get it for you,” she says as she wipes his lip with a napkin.

“Stupid lime!” he laughs back at her.

They laugh again with each other as Madeline and Will approach their table. They are at the club on a date and Madeline saw Kim almost immediately. Will saw that Kim was with Ryan and tried to get Madeline to stay away from the table, to no avail.

“Hey Kim,” Madeline smiles at her. Kim stands when she sees Madeline and they hug.

“Hey! Join us, won’t you guys? It’s great to see you guys,” Kim says sitting back down to Ryan. “This is Ryan. Ryan this is Madeline and Will.”

Madeline extends her hand to Ryan and they shake. “Nice to meet you,” she says.

“Will, you said?” Ryan smirks over at Will next as they shake hands.

“That’s right,” Will replies, knowing that Ryan is playing it cool and hiding their connection.

“You look oddly familiar,” Ryan says back glaring at Will. He is still pissed off that Will is refusing to help him sell again. Ryan decides quickly that he will push the limits with Will and see if he will risk letting Madeline and Kim know the truth: that he slept with Olivia.

“Do I?” Will says casually. “I’m pretty sure we’ve never met.”

“Yea, yea. You knew my brother Jackson right?”

Madeline looks over at Will and then back at Ryan. For the second time in recent memory, she is seeing a side of Will she has never seen before. He looks panicked and unsure of what to do. She gets an uneasy feeling that Will could be hiding something.

“Yes he did. That’s how Will and I became friends,” Kim intervenes, also noting that Will is uncomfortable about something.

“Hey, do you want to go get us some drinks?” Will asks Madeline as he hands her a twenty dollar bill.

“Uh, sure,” Madeline says taking the cash. “Want to come with me Kim?” she asks noticing that Kim has finished her martini.

“Sure,” Kim replies as they scoot out of the booth.

Once both women are gone, Will glares at Ryan again. “What the fuck are you doing?”

Ryan laughs. “You told me you weren’t going to help me. So I’m slowly revealing the truth. By the time the truth comes out, I’m sure both Kim and Madeline will have put it together.”

“Jesus Christ Ryan, enough of this!” Will says in anger. He leans in and looks at him. “You will not tell Madeline the truth. Understand?”

Ryan laughs. “Then you’ll help me sell drugs again?”

Defeated, Will leans back into the booth. He knows that Ryan is serious. He will tell Madeline the truth. He nods his head agreeing to help Ryan, knowing that this will bid him some time while he tries to come up with a new way of getting rid of his foe.

Scene Six -- Twin Peaks General Hospital

Reese enters the hospital with a few beads of sweat on his forehead. He hasn’t been feeling well most of the day and he finally decided to come to the hospital to see what was going on. Now that he thinks about it, he has been sort of under the weather for the last couple of days. He wonders if everything that he has been going through is just finally catching up to him: learning that Andy was using him; finding out about Andy and Trenyce’s engagement then marriage; and finding out about his parents criminal past. And then there’s the random sex he has been having and dancing at the gay bar as a go-go dancer and doing drugs.

Reese sighs and walks over to the waiting room where he’ll wait to see his doctor. As he walks in, he passes the maternity ward. He stops and looks into the room full of the new born babies. He wonders how much longer before Trenyce has her baby. Part of him is filled with sadness as he realizes that all the new babies have their entire lives ahead of them, do to and make whatever they want out of their life. They have to much potential, he realizes.

Suddenly he freezes. In the corner, he sees Trenyce in a wheel chair and Andy standing up at tiny incubator. Andy is holding a baby, smiling and talking to him. Reese feels his heart sink. Andy is father now. He and Trenyce’s baby has been born. Reese slowly walks away, not sure of what he is feeling other than a pain in his heart.

“He’s so beautiful,” Andy says to Trenyce as he passes her the baby, inside the baby room. “I’m proud of you.”

Trenyce holds her baby as he sleeps. She looks up at Andy and gets water in her eyes. Earlier that day, she remembers telling him the truth about her knowing the truth about his sexuality and him walking out on her. She is surprised to even see him at the hospital, but once again Andy proves to her what a good man and a good friend he really is.

“Thanks for coming,” she says in a whisper. “I didn’t think you would.”

“I’m here for the baby,” he says. “I’m going to get cleaned up. Do you want me to take you back to your room?”

“Sure,” she says not wanting to create a scene with her new baby in her arms. But she can feel his chill, no questions asked. She knows that soon she will have to explain everything to him. But for tonight, it’s all about her baby and celebrating his new found life.

Scene Seven -- Twin Peaks General Hospital; The Waiting Room

Daisy sits in a chair, her hands over her face. It’s been a long day for her as her niece just gave birth to a boy. She is thinking about Danielle, and how she would have loved for her twin sister to be her to see her grand daughter. She shakes her head trying not to cry; she should be happy right now, instead all she can think of are sad thoughts. She removes her hands from her face and sees Brett standing above her. He smiles softly to her and she stands up hugging him as a tear falls down her cheek.

“Oh Vinny, I don’t know why I’m crying,” she says to man that she still thinks is Vinny.

“You’ve been through a lot Daisy. Don’t be so hard on yourself. The baby, he’s okay though?”

Daisy nods to him as she wipes her face clean. “Have you heard anything more about Danielle’s killer?”

Brett turns away for a second. He knows he hasn’t looked into as hard as he should have, because of Meggan being in the hospital lately. “I’m sorry, I haven’t. I haven’t even got any new leads. I’m working on it though.”

Before Daisy can reply a nurse interrupts them. “Excuse me, Mr. Victors? Can I see you for a moment? It’s about your wife, Meggan. She’s been doing well, but she’s developed a fever, so we’ll have to keep her at least another couple of days for observation.”

Brett suddenly looks concerned. Meggan had been recovering from the kidney transplant so well. He hopes this isn’t a major set back. He looks to Daisy, who gives him the approving nod that he can go be with her. Daisy looks over as Chris enters the waiting room.

“Have you seen him yet?” Chris asks her as she stands next to him.

“Yes. I was there with Trenyce when she gave birth. She was very brave.”

Chris wonders why Daisy was with Trenyce and not Andy. He doesn’t want to question it though, since Daisy is Trenyce’s Aunt. “Are they okay? They are healthy?”

Daisy smiles even though she feels her eyes swelling with water again. “Everything is just perfect.”

Chris notices her crying and puts his hand on her shoulder. He isn’t sure of her reaction but he has to make sure that she’s okay. “Is everything okay Daisy?”

She shakes her head and again wipes her tears away. “It’s just so funny, you know? This time last year we were so happy. I almost thought one day, we would be having our own child. Now, we aren’t even together and it’s Trenyce that has the baby. And she’s still a baby herself.”

Chris sighs. He doesn’t know what to say to that. He knows that he is the one fully responsible for the dismantling of their marriage.

“I’m sorry,” he manages to say in a soft whisper. “I’m so sorry Daisy.”

Scene Eight -- The Docks

Sofia walks slowly on the pier. The sun has set and it’s rather dark, so she is careful about where she is setting. Her high heeled shoes could be dangerous at this time of the night on the pier, but she wasn’t about to change her shoes after she got the urgent sounding message from Dominick on her cell phone. She did wonder why he would want to meet her on the pier at night though. She hopes that this isn’t another one of his attempts to try to get back together with her. She is startled by the sight of a man in the distance. She quickly realizes that it is Dominick.

“This is an interesting meeting place,” she says coldly. “You couldn’t have picked some where with more light? It’s dangerous down here.”

Dominick grins as he loves her attitude that she dishes to everyone. “I thought it would give us the most privacy,” he shrugs as they can hear the river waves crashing softly into the pier next to them.

“Make it fast, whatever this is that you have to tell me. Bob is at home with my favourite pot of tea.”

Dominick looks at the woman that he has loved for so long. More than any other woman he has ever been with. More than Leah’s mother, Felicia. And more than Robin’s mother, Melissa. Sofia’s feisty attitude drives him wild. And he knows that when they made love, they made love like no other two people. He knows what he has to tell her: he remembers Robin telling him the truth about Natasha and Eva earlier that day. What words could he possibly come up with to tell Sofia that he knows the truth? That he has the information that could ruin so many lives.

“What do you want Dominick?” Sofia snaps getting impatient with him.

“I know the truth Sofia,” he says cryptically.

Sofia’s eye brow arches and she feels her heart skip a beat. Those words have been said to her far too often lately. She quickly remembers Robin trying to blackmail her with the information that Eva is really Natasha’s mother a few months ago. She knows that she lied her way out of that. Will she have too again?

“The truth? The truth about what?”

“You, Natasha and Eva McCloud,” he says. He doesn’t say anything else as he waits for Sofia to say or do something else. Instead, she starts to laugh.

“You’re as bad as your daughter. You’re pathetic. You know nothing,” she spits back at him, even though inside she is screaming again. How on earth are so many people figuring out the truth?

“You can deny it all you want, but just know that I know the truth. I haven’t decided what I’m going to do yet, but I wanted you to know that I know. I’ll be in touch my darling,” he whispers. He slowly turns around and walks away from her.

Sofia waits until he is no longer in sight before she turns and she looks out into the dark river. She shakes her head and puts her hand over her mouth. “This can’t be happening,” she whispers as she looks out in shock. What is she going to do? What is she going to tell Bob? What is she going to do with Dominick? Sofia feels like her world is falling apart, slowly.

Scene Nine -- St. Joseph’s Church

Natasha slowly walks up to the church. She looks around outside, the garden is quiet. There are a few cars in the parking lot, but not too many. She wonders what is going on at the church this evening. She remembers getting a call from the church secretary asking her to come to the church for a special event. What the event is, Natasha doesn’t know.

Natasha thinks of the last time she was at the church; Andy and Trenyce’s wedding. Her heart is warmed a little as she thinks of young love. She longs to find that again, even though she knows she feels bitter and some what jaded by men right now. With her marriage to Cory ending and then her and Shane’s relationship ending, Natasha has no time for men right now.

***

Inside the church, Cassie arrives at the alter in her long, simple white wedding dress. She turns and smiles at Shane, who slowly lifts her veil to see her eyes sparkling back at him. He looks at her and tries to ease the butterflies in his stomach. While he knows that he is doing the right thing for his child, he longs that the woman standing next to him was Natasha, not Cassie. She smiles to him and he can tell that she is overjoyed. He has known for a long time that Cassie has been head over heels in love with him; he will be happy with her, he tells himself.

“Are we ready to begin?” Father Murphy asks the two of them as they join hands.

“I‘ve never been more ready for anything else in my life,” Cassie says softly back to the priest. She turns back and can‘t help but smile at Shane; she‘s finally getting everything she‘s wanted. She looks quickly to the doors of the church, wondering if Natasha will come and see them say “I do”.

***

Natasha walks up to the front door of the church and she slowly opens it. She walks in and looks into the sanctuary. Her heart breaks into a million pieces as she sees Shane and Cassie at the alter. In the front row, Preston sits as he agreed to be their witness. Natasha hears Father Murphy ask if anyone in the church has reason for them not to be married. Natasha looks at Shane, the man she is in love with. She has plenty of reason why he should not marry Cassie; she loves him! Still, she walks backwards slowly not wanting to create a scene. Clearly Shane has taken her advice and wants to move on. Cassie turns and spots Natasha and gets a sly grin on her face; her plan to have Natasha see them get married worked! Now, her wedding day is truly perfect! Shane notices Cassie looking at the back of the church and turns and spots Natasha as well. His heart breaks as he sees how clearly distract Natasha has become.

“By the power invested in me, I know pronounce you husband and wife,” Father Murphy says looking up from his notes and noticing Natasha at the back of the church.

Natasha turns and rushes out of the church. Cassie can’t help but notice her rush out. She pulls Shane in and they share a kiss. Shane pulls back and hugs her. Something in the pit of his stomach is telling him that he just made the biggest mistake of his life. He exit’s the embrace and sees the mother of his future child. How could this be a mistake? He is giving his child the life he or she deserves.

“I’m so happy,” she smiles to him.

“Me too,” he lies back to her, knowing that he is thinking of Natasha and how much pain she must be in right now. “Should we go home Mrs. Glubbs?”

Scene Ten -- The Calimo House; Robbie & Leah’s Home

“So I’ve been thinking about something,” Robbie says as he brings Leah a tray of little snacks. He sits next to her on the sofa as she nibbles on a carrot stick. She pauses and looks around. She had not realized how much she had missed being in the comfort of her home. Another aspect of her life she had been taking for granted before her sugery.

“Tell me what it is,” she says back to him. “I want to know what is going on in that sexy mind of yours.”

He grins at her remark and leans in and kisses her. “When you’re feeling better, we’ll see how sexy you are.”

Leah giggles then takes another bite of her carrot. “Seriously, what’s up?”

Robbie takes her free hand. “Do you want to put this year behind us and really start fresh? You know? Move on from Noah, the vendetta against Meggan. I miss us being so close like we used to be.”

Leah looks at him not completely sure what he is getting at. “Of course I do. I want to move forward Robbie. I think I’m doing that, I’m healthy again. We can move forward together. I love you.”

“I love you too, but I think the only way to really move forward from this Leah is for us to do the right thing,” Robbie says back to her. He can tell that she is confused by where he is going with this by the look on her face. He clears his throat. “You should drop the charges against Meggan. She saved your life.”

Leah is floored by what she just heard. Her husband wants her to drop the charges against the woman that killed her son. Her mind has been so focused for so long on keeping Meggan in jail, it’s a hard pill to swallow thinking that she could be walking around free. And yet the man she loves is asking her to free her.

“Don’t answer me now,” he says in a whisper. “Just promise me you’ll think about it, okay?”

Scene Eleven -- Main Street

Natasha rushes down main street, tears forming in her eyes. She just saw Shane and Cassie get married. How is this possible? She knows that she told Shane that he should marry Cassie, but she never thought that he would do it so quickly. Not without telling her; not without talking to her about it first. Maybe he has moved on already? Her head is clouded with confusion and pain.

Natasha stops for a moment to catch her breathe when she hears someone calling out her name.

“Natasha? Are you alright?” Eva asks as she pulls up in her car with the window rolled down. Eva had seen Natasha rushing down the sidewalk and saw that she was in pain. She didn’t hesitate to jump to her daughter’s die.

Natasha looks inside the car and sees her new friend. “No, I’m not.”

“Get in,” Eva demands as she opens the passenger side door to her car.

Natasha walks slowly up to the car and enters. She sits next to Eva, and once she closes her door, she collapses in tears into Eva’s arms. Eva holds her crying daughter, telling her that everything will be alright, as she finds comfort in holding her daughter in a time of obvious pain.
