Scene One -- The Tower’s; Floor Eight; Victoria’s Apartment

Victoria’s bedroom is still dark, as she has the heavy drapes still closer over her windows. It’s 9:30 am, but she has the day off. After the long party the night before, she is enjoying her sleep and being able to sleep in. However, as she tosses and turns in bed, her sleep is not as calm as she would like it to be. Victoria is dreaming, or rather having a nightmare. While she has yet to remember most of her time when she had D.I.D., her dream seems to be filling in some of the missing pieces.

[Flash]

It’s musky, damp, dark and cold. The concrete floors are cold on her skin. She looks around and sees cob webs. Victoria quickly realizes that she is in the basement at the Calimo cabin.

She is wearing a long white dress, and a white glow is upon her. She looks at herself lying on the ground, as though she is watching a scene being replayed in front of her.

She sees herself, on the ground, her head is bleeding slightly. Vinny Victors is standing above her. He is pointing a gun at her chest. She can see herself crying a little, begging for her safety. Vinny’s hand trembles a little as he holds the gun. He is desperately to keep his secret safe.

What secret? The watching Victoria asks herself.

She can hear herself beg Vinny not to shoot. Vinny says that she knows far too much and can not let Victoria ruin his plan. The trigger is pulled. Slowly the bullet flies through the air. Victoria watches the bullet move closer and closer to the image of herself lying on the ground. The bullet enters Victoria’s chest and blood quickly starts oozing out.

[Flash]

Victoria sits up straight in bed, covered in a light sweat. She looks around. She is safe, in her apartment. She puts her hand to her chest and feels her heart racing a million miles a minute.

She takes a deep breathe as she realizes she is safe. She looks down at her chest and notices a scar. The scar that was left after her shooting. Her dream must have been correct. Vinny shot her. But why? What secret, as Vinny told her in her dream, did she know?

She lays back into bed. She sighs as she realizes what she has to do today: discover why Vinny shot her. What secret does she know that he would want to kill her to keep?

Scene Two -- The Sugarbowl

Andy sits down and hands Trenyce a large latte. She sighs heavily. She is not amused that they are at the coffee house so early. It’s summer break, she is expecting to sleep in and do nothing. Little did she know, Andy has other plans for her.

“Why are we here so early,” she groans.

Andy laughs. “Well, we are going to Milwaukee right?”

Trenyce takes a sip of her latte, “Yea, I’m so stoked!”

“Me too … but you need a summer job. It won’t be cheap getting to Milwaukee and back. I still have my job at the Sun to help me.”

Trenyce groans. She hates the idea of working all summer. She wants to enjoy the heat. Enjoy the sun. Enjoy her friends. “Eh! I wish I was like Reese, and super rich so my parents could pay for me to go!”

Andy chuckles.

"Don't you ever wonder how Reese's parents go so rich?" Trenyce asks, thinking she is on to something.

Andy rolls his eyes, "Not really. His Dad is a lawyer and his Mom is a therapist. They have obviously invested well."

Trenyce sighs. "Yea, I suppose. Still it would be nice ..."

"Anything is possible with hard work Trenyce."

Trenyce groans. "Hard work later. I want my summer!"

Andy laughs. "Milwaukee will be fun. You'll see."

"I hope so!" she says. She looks down at her watch. "I guess I should be going. Drop off some of these resumes at the mall."

Andy grins. "That's a good idea. I'll call you later, okay?"

"You better," she says. She kisses her fingers and waves them at him as she departs. Andy smiles. For a brief moment he thinks Trenyce may actually be growing up. He laughs at the thought. He picks up his coffee cup and realizes that it's empty. He concludes that he can have one more cup before he has to be at the Sun. After getting the coffee, he walks over to the condiment bar. Not watching where he's going, he bumps into someone!

"Shoot!" he says watching his coffee spill. "I am so sorry," he says looking up and seeing Patricia.

"Hey, it's okay. You didn't get any on me. It's cool," she smiles to him.

"Thanks for being so cool. I am sorry again. I wasn't watching ..."

"Its okay. Honestly. Why don't you get another cup and we can talk? I'm Patricia."

Andy beams. "Cool. I am Andy ..."

"Nice to meet you," she says. "Are you interested? I honestly do not know many people here."

"That sounds great," he says.

Scene Three --- Twin Peaks Inn; Adam and Helen’s Suite

Adam can feel the tension between him and Helen. She has not spoken to him all morning. He recalls the previous evening, at Meggan's welcome home party and how she was upset that he offered to talk to Victoria if she needed any assistance regaining her memory. He sees Helen on the telephone. She hangs up.

"The apartment is ready. Reno’s are done from the fire," she says not making eye contact with him.

"That's good news," he says. "Although we do have a meeting at the bank later today. The mortgage for a house, remember?"

Helen suddenly gets a shiver down her spin. She has no idea what it is or why, but every time she thinks of the bank she gets a chill.

"I haven't forgotten."

Adam approaches her and puts his hands on her. "Are you going to stay mad at me forever?"

Helen sighs and looks at him. "I just ... it really bothers me that you offered to help her. After everything Victoria has done to us."

"She was sick Helen. It wasn't really her. I ... I feel for her. It's like you. You had that accident and now you do not remember. You would rather I didn't help you too?"

Helen is flabbergasted. "You are comparing me to her? I lost my memory. I haven't gone around trying to kill people in the meantime."

"I know it's the not the same. But she was ill."

"I guess I just need more time to forgive and forget Adam."

"That's understandable. But please do not be mad at me for recognizing that she was sick and she is trying to et life back together."

Helen looks at her watch. "I am going to go finish getting ready," she says.

Adam watches as she enters the washroom and shut the door. Inside, Helen looks over at the counter and picks up a pregnancy test. She sighs.

"Let's see what is says," she says to herself and she looks at the test.

Scene Four -- The Wilkins Estate

Olivia finishes putting together Preston's briefcase for him. He enters the dinning room and takes a quick bite of his muffin.

"I'm going to be late," he says reaching for his briefcase.

"I hope you have a good day," she smiles back to him.

"Thanks, you too." he says.

She comes up to him to give him a kiss, but he turns his face so she gets his cheek.

"Can we please talk about this later?" she says softly, referring to how he continues to ignore her affections.

"Maybe. I have a late meeting." he says coldly, clearly trying to avoid the topic.

"Okay."

Reese enters the room. "Bye Dad. Have a good day," he says as Preston walks by.

"You too kiddo," Preston calls before they hear the front door close.

Reese looks at Olivia, who is fighting back tears. "Everything okay?"

"Yea, everything is fine hun. What's up with you today?"

Reese sighs. "I'm not sure..." he says as he pours a cup of coffee.

"Sounds like you want to do something, but are not sure." she says sitting across from him. "Anything you want to talk about?"

Reese looks up at his mom. "Do you ever think about Madeline?"

Olivia stops for a second. She looks at her son, some what taken aback. While she knows Reese must think of his twin sister often, he never speaks of her.

"All the time Reese. All the time."

"I just wish she'd come home. I miss her. I feel like ... I could use her to talk to and to use her guidance."

Olivia gets a look of concern on her face. "Is everything okay Reese. I know I am not your sister, but you can talk to me if something is troubling you."

Reese smiles. "Thanks Mom. It's ..."

"Boy problems?" she guesses.

Reese looks up, lovingly at his mother. He appreciates that his mother is so accepting and understanding of his sexuality. "I really like him. And I think he likes me. But he's dating a girl. We kissed last night at the party. I just get these mixed messages from him."

Olivia sighs. "Not everyone is as intuitive as you. Some people need more time to accept who they really are," Olivia says trying not to sound too much like a therapist and more like a Mom. "If he can't see what a wonderful guy he has in front of him, he is blind. He will come around. He's obviously interested and using the girl as a cover. Give him time, you'll see."

Reese smiles. Hearing his Mom say that to him was the confidence he was looking for.

"I hope that didn't sound too text book for you," she winks at him.

"Not at all. It really helped. Thanks Mom," he says getting up and walking over and hugging you. "You really made me feel better."

Olivia fights back tears. "Anytime baby, anytime."

Scene Five -- The Michael's Home; Chris, Daisy & Trenyce's House

Daisy finishes clasping her necklace around her neck. The large red beads match her red blouse that is under a wear suit jacket and matching skirt. Her red pumps finish off the outfit.

"You look great," Chris says smiling in the bedroom with his wife.

Daisy smiles. "Thanks. I am running late! I have a meeting in 15 minutes!"

Chris sighs. Another day. Another late meeting. Another day Daisy puts her career before him. "I was going to talk to you about something," he says slowly.

"Can it wait? I really do have to go."

"It can wait. I was just going to tell you that I was thinking of volunteering for the State Volleyball team's trip. They needed more people to go. Unless it's a problem..."

"No, it should be fine. Sounds like it will be fun!" she smiles at him. "We can talk about it more when I get home? Give me the details okay?" she says coming up and giving him a quick kiss on his lips.

"Are you home late again?"

"No. Promise. Tonight, I'll be home for dinner," Daisy says. She hates always being late, but she knew it was apart of being mayor. It is a 24 hour job. Her family knew that going in. Still she wants to make more time for them.

"Perfect," he says looking at her, hoping that for once she is being honest with him about being home on time.

Scene Six -- The Sugarbowl

Patricia laughs at one of Andy's jokes. The two have gone through a three cups of coffee each in getting to know one another.

"This has been so much fun," Patricia says. "Thanks for taking my mind off things."

"Hey anytime, I've enjoyed it myself. It's nice to have fun sometimes!"

"Totally. And without the pressure of ..."

Andy arches one eyebrow. "Of what?"

"You know, like flirting or whatever. It's so great that you are gay! My brother is ..."

Andy's face turns bright red. "Oh, I'm sorry ... are you not? I just assumed..."

"It's okay," he says. "I am still new to this. I think I am, but I have a girlfriend and ..."

"Hey, don't worry about it. I can try to help you through it, okay?"

Andy smiles. "Thanks."

They are interrupted by Victoria, who approaches their table. "Hey Andy," she says. "Can I join you?"

Patricia looks annoyed. Who is this woman and why is she interrupting their time?

"Um, sure. I guess I was just leaving?" Patricia says annoyed.

"Thanks," Victoria says smugly.

"I'll call you, okay?" Patricia says waving to Andy.

"Sure. Bye!"

Victoria sits across from Andy. "Can we talk for a minute?"

"Sure, what's going on?"

Victoria sighs. "It's a long story."

“I have time,” he smiles.

Victoria sighs. “Well, you know how I have been struggling to remember my time while I was … sick?” she says lowering her voice.

Andy comes in closer, realizing that she wants to keep this on the down low. “Yea. Are you starting to remember?”

Victoria looks at him. “I had a dream. Or, really it was a nightmare. It was… horrible,” she pauses. “Promise me this stays between us?”

“Of course.”

“I remember Vinny shooting me. I mean, I know I was shot. Shane told me and I have scars. But why would he do that?”

Andy looks at Victoria shocked to his core. “He shot you? Ohmygod! You have to go to the police!”

“No, I can’t. He said in the dream that I knew too much. I have to figure out why, Andy. This is eating me up.”

Andy nods. “Okay. But be careful. You have to remember so you can put him away. He can’t just be running around free.”

Victoria smiles. “Thanks for your support, and I agree.”

“Let me know if I can help,” he says to his friend.

***

Patricia looks over and sees Victoria and Andy engaged in conversation. The nerve of that woman, she thinks to herself. She turns and spots Will. His eyes meet hers and he smiles.

"Hey you," he says coming up to her.

"Hey Will, this is a surprise," she says quickly wondering if she looks okay.

"A pleasant one, I hope," he grins.

"Of course. I was going to call you ..."

"Oh...?"

"Yea. I just feel like we had a good time the other night."

"I had a great time too," he says. "And can I tell you a secret?" he says quietly.

"Sure," she says unsure of what he is going to say.

"I think you're absolutely beautiful," he grins at her.

Patricia blushes and puts her head down.

"I would love to take you out sometime," he says again.

She looks up. "I'd like that too."

"Cool," he says. He quickly glances at his watch. "Ah, I hate to go, but I have a meeting at the hospital. I'll call you later?"

"That'd be great!" she says.

He waves bye and proceeds out the door. He is thrilled to be making progress with a girl. He has been out of the loop for far too long, he concludes. He likes Patricia. Still, he wouldn't say no to a quick roll in the hay either.

Scene Seven -- Capers; The Bar

Preston takes a sip of his beer. His client cancelled his appointment and he thought he would use the time to grab a refreshment. He is enjoying his quiet time. He likes time not having to deal with the stress of work and home. He thinks back to Olivia's plea earlier in the morning. That they talk about their relationship when he gets home. He sighs. What relationship? He ponders. He knows that his marriage has been falling apart for the last three years, mostly because he can not get over the fact that he blames Olivia for Madeline's disappearance. While Olivia and Reese believe she left because Reese came out, Preston knows better. He knows that Madeline overheard him and Olivia fighting the night before. The fight that changed their family forever. If only Olivia hadn't been so irrational that night, Madeline would still be with us, he concludes. Since that night, he has progressively grown more and more distant from Olivia. At first, they still made love. That stopped over two years ago. He has needs, but he has found ways to comply ... mostly while he is away on business trips. He knows that Olivia has remained faithful though. She doesn't have it in her to do so. He thinks back. What will he talk about with his wife. Maybe I could just work late again, he thinks.

Cory sits next to him. "Preston?" he asks.

Preston snaps out of it. "Oh hey Cory," he says coming around. "How are you? How is Natasha?"

"She's good, thanks. Just getting some take out. She hates that hospital food," he grins. "She starts rehab next week. She'll be good as new in no time."

"That's great to hear."

"I know it's none of my business, but you looked a million miles away. If you ever need to talk to someone ..."

"Thanks, I appreciate that. It's, um, you know ... women," he lets out a small chuckle.

Cory smiles back. "Oh yes. Those damn beautiful creatures that we are so drawn too ... but cause us so much grief at the same time." Preston nods in agreement. "So, what's going on with you and Olivia?"

"Ah, Cory. It's a long story. It's just continued to spiral out of control."

"Do you still love her?"

Preston pauses for a second. "Yes, of course."

"Then fight for her. Fight for your marriage. You've been together far too long to just throw it away. That's my advice."

"Thanks Cory. I appreciate it,” wondering if maybe what Cory is saying is right.

Scene Eight -- Twin Peaks General Hospital - Olivia's Office

Olivia sits at her desk. She opens her calendar and quickly glances at her schedule. She sees that she has a coaching meeting coming up. Followed by another therapy session with Victoria. She smiles. She likes coaching the young staff that are new to the medical field and TPGH. She turns on her computer and looks to see who she is coaching. The name Will Coutts appears on her screen. It's a name she doesn't recognize. Not yet anyways. Her thoughts are interrupted by a knock on her door. A tall, brooding young man opens the door, quickly getting Olivia's attention.

"Dr. Wilkins?" he asks.

"Yes," Olivia says.

"Will Coutts," he says coming in and extending his hand.

Olivia smiles warmly. She knew she liked coaching for a reason. A nice, young, hot man was now in her office. Normally she wouldn't think twice about a younger man, or any other man, but Preston's continued rejection of her has made her have a wandering eye. She has never slept with another man. But her eye catches all the good looking men she sees.

"Nice to meet you Will," she says shaking his hand.

She sits back down, but purposely shows off her long, bare legs in her skirt to Will. Will notices her long, smooth looking legs. He gulps as he sits down.

Scene Nine -- City Hall; Daisy's Office

Vinny opens the door to Daisy's office. He looks around and quickly realizes that she is not in her office. He walks over to her desk and picks up a picture of Daisy and Chris on their wedding day. He puts it down and lets out a large sighs.

Daisy opens the office door and tosses her briefcase down. She walks over to the large sofa and drops in it. Her council meeting was rough on her and she feels exhausted.

"Boo!" Vinny says putting his hands over her eyes.

Daisy jumps. "Oh my! Vinny you scared my half to death!"

He grins as he sits next to her.

"Rough day my favourite flower?"

"Just long," she says. "What's up with you? How's Meggan?'

Vinny sighs. "I haven't been to see her yet. I was heading to the jail after seeing you."

"Ah, well now I feel special. What's up? Did you find out anything else about Danielle?"

Vinny looks at Daisy. He has found out more. He knows that Chris was sleeping with Danielle and that he was the father of her baby. How can he tell her this now? He needs to wait for the right time, he concludes.

"Still looking he says," looking away.

"Okay. Let me know when you do find out something, okay?"

"Promise," he gulps. "Everything else good in your world?"

Daisy thinks. Is everything good in her world? She thinks Chris is flirting with Trenyce. She feels overworked. She is tired. "I guess, yea." she grins. "Could be worse. Could be dead!"

Vinny laughs. "You still have your humour flower. Anyways, I'll let you know. I should head over to the jail."

"Okay. Tell Meggan hey for me. And let me know when you learn more about Danielle."

"Will do," he says exiting, secretly wondering how he is going to crash Daisy's world completely.

Scene Ten -- Twin Peaks General Hospital

Olivia collapses on top of Will's hot, sweaty chest. Her legs still wrapped around his waist. He catches his breath.

"That was, um, some coaching session," he says smiling, unsure of what really just happened.

"Glad you approved. I say you are passing with flying colours," she purrs back at him, satisfied by Will‘s performance..

He smiles and kisses her passionately on her lips. "I needed you today," he says slowly.

"I needed you too. So badly. We probably shouldn't tell anyone about this ..."

"Of course not. And we probably shouldn't do it again," he says back kissing her neck.

"Yea, never again," she whispers as she pulls his mouth back to her breasts again.

Scene Eleven -- Twin Peaks Inn; Adam and Helen’s suite

Helen emerges from the washroom.

"Hey, you were in there a long time. Are you okay?" he asks her.

"Everything is okay," she says looking at him.

"What is it? you don’t seem yourself," he says coming up to her.

Helen's eyes fill with tears. "I'm ... we're ... pregnant," she says, holding up the pregnancy stick.

Adam's eyes light up. "Really? A baby?"

Helen nods and smiles. "A baby," she says.

He lifts her up and kisses her. "I love you so much. A baby!" he says again.
