The Pier

Dawn looks forward and sees Cheresa walking on the pier a few feet head of her. Dawn was at the Lawson estate when Greg came home and announced that Brooke was having an affair; the timing was horrible as Cheresa and Abby had planned a family dinner since they thought their family was in a very good place. Greg threw the dinner on the floor as he was livid with Brooke for her indiscretion; the reveal has left Cheresa, Abby and Brad all rocked to their cores. Following Greg's departure, Cheresa told Dawn that she wanted to get some air, so they've come to the pier to try to calm down. Dawn opens her purse and sees her anti-depressants; she quickly opens the pill bottle and puts two pills in her mouth and swallows them down, hoping to calm herself down. Now, she realizes that she has to be there for her friend, who is devastated by the events that are rocking her family.

Daw, then, rushes up to Cheresa, who has her head down as she walks slowly down the pier. "Do you want to talk about it?"

Cheresa turns to her friend with her damp, red eyes and shakes her head. "What is there to say? My Mom has been fooling around on my Dad. I don't know what I'm supposed to say or do right now."

"It's okay to be upset," Dawn replies to her. "It's only natural."

"I guess I just don't get it, you know?" Cheresa admits to her. "How can my family go from being so stable to a complete mess in, like, a day?"

Dawn pulls her friend into a hug as she suddenly starts to feel exhausted as a result of her pills. "I'm sorry Cheresa. I hope you know that I'm here for you. After," she starts to say as she yawns out loud again. "Everything you've done to help me, I'm going to be here for you."

Cheresa smiles back to her as they exit their embrace. "I need you right now," Cheresa admits to her, as Dawn yawns again. "Hey, are you okay? You just had a nap at my place. How come you're so tired again?"

"I'm fine," Dawn waves her hand in the air. "This is about you, not me. Come on, let's keep walking and talking. The fresh air will be good for us."

Cheresa puts her hand in Dawn's and they start walking together. "Thanks Dawn, I owe you one."

The Sugarbowl

"I just can't believe that just happened," Brad tells Abby as they sit in the back booth of the coffeehouse looking at one another. When Cheresa announced that she wanted some air and space, Abby and Brad decided they too needed a change of scenery after the reveal of Brooke's affair came out so they ended up at the coffeehouse.

"You and me both," Abby nods back to her brother. "Here we thought our family was this strong unit and the opposite is true. What the hell was Mom thinking?"

"Hey, do you wanna head to the Pampa Grill? I could use something stronger than a coffee."

"You read my mind," Abby replies to him as she sees Andrew walk into the coffeehouse. "Could you give me a minute?"

"Of course."

Abby moves away from the booth and moves up to Andrew. "Andrew, hi," Abby looks at him with her big eyes. "Do you have a moment? I could really use a friend right now."

"Sure, what's going on?" Andrew asks her back. He is assuming that this has to do with her only getting a C on her world history paper; they have been trying to find a time to study for the midterm together. "Did you get the times that we could study together?"

"Yea, sorry I haven't gotten back to you," Abby replies to him. "Something has happened."

"Are you okay?"

Abby shakes her head back to him as tears fill her eyes. "My Mom has been sleeping with another man behind my Dad's back," she admits to him in a quiet voice as Andrew looks at her in surprise. "I'm just…I'm having a really hard time right now."

"Oh Abs, I'm so sorry," Andrew pulls her into a hug. "I'm here if you need me. I am your friend."

"I know you are," Abby whispers into his ear, hoping that he will really be there for her now. "I really wanted to feel your arms around me."

They exit their embrace as Brad comes up to them. "Hey, ready to go?"

"Yea, I am," Abby looks back at him. "Thanks Andrew."

"I meant what I said," Andrew tells his friend. "I'm here if you need me."

Abby nods back to him as she and Brad prepare to leave. They move towards the door and see Brooke enter the coffeehouse. Brooke sighs and immediately walks up to her children. She would love to have some normalcy right now after her conversation with Greg at Raven's Meadow.

"Hi guys," she says to them, not realizing that they know about her affair. "Do you guys want to grab a coffee together?"

"Leave us alone," Abby spits back to her, unable to even look at her mother right now.

"We know Mom," Brad angrily tells her. "Dad told us everything."

"How could you?" Abby replies to her quickly. "How could you ruin everything?"

"I…" Brooke puts her head down ashamed of what has happened. She and Robbie did have a connection, but she ended it when she thought that she and Greg could make their marriage work. None of that seems to matter now, however. "I didn't mean to hurt anyone; If you two would just listen to me. Let me buy you a coffee and we can talk…"

"Shut up," Abby cuts her off. "We don't want to hear anything you have to say. Not now, not ever."

Brooke watches as her children storm off and out of the coffeehouse. She covers her mouth and tries to catch her breath as she realizes that world is spiraling out of control faster than she thought it would.

Roboto

Kim sits at the CEO desk in Bob's former office as she looks over some files in front of her. She knows that she is basically running the company right now because Natasha and Robbie have been so busy with their own lives and the drama going on in it. She knows that she has to relish this time because eventually they will be back at the company and making their presence known.

"Now is the time," she whispers to herself as she looks at a picture of Bob that is sitting on the desk. "For me to make a change, and I think I know what that change will be," she purses her lips together.

Before she can say anything else, the office door opens and she turns to see Greg standing there. "Greg, are you okay? You look like hell."

Greg slowly moves into the office and immediately over to the bar. "Do you mind if I have a drink?" he asks her as she nods back to him.

"Of course. What's going on? Are you okay?"

"I had nowhere else to go," Greg admits to her as he takes a drink of his scotch. "You were the first person I thought of to come and see."

"I'm here for you, of course," Kim moves up to him, wondering what has gotten into him. She has never seen him so distraught before. "But, I have to know what is wrong."

"It is Brooke," Greg slowly reveals to her as they lock eyes. "She's been having an affair."

Kim gulps knowing that because she revealed the truth in court, Brooke must have told Greg about her fling with Robbie. "Greg, I'm so sorry," she moves up to him and pulls him into a hug.

"We haven't been close in so long," Greg tells her as he gets chocked up. "But the last couple of weeks, we have gotten closer and we agreed to put our marriage back together…and now …this. God, I've been such a damn fool."

"No, you haven't," Kim tells him as she looks into his eyes. "You can't blame yourself for this, this is all on Brooke and Robbie."

"Wait," Greg looks back at her with intent. "How did you know that it was with Robbie? How did you know who Brooke was sleeping with?"

St. Joseph's Church

"I don't understand this," Cassie trembles as she looks at Jacob, who just told her in front of Shane and Natasha that he didn't want to marry her. Cassie has no idea what is going on right now as for months she and Jacob have wanted to get married; their big day has arrived and when Shane and Natasha interrupted the ceremony, she assumed that they would try to stop the wedding but the opposite happened: they told Jacob they wanted to support him. Now, he's saying he doesn't want to marry her anymore. Nothing makes sense. "We have everything we want; we are in love, your parents are here and they are actually supporting us. Why would you say that you don't want to marry me now?"

"Because," Jacob chuckles back to her. "Think about everything you've done to my family. Do you really think that I'd want to marry a woman who tormented my mother?"

"But," Cassie bites her lower lip. "That was in the past. You know that I'm a changed woman! You've said that to your parents so many times!"

"Jacob, where is this coming from?" a confused Natasha asks her son moving closer to hi. "You told us you loved Cassie."

"I also told you two to trust me," Jacob looks back at his parents. "Because, this entire time I've been using Cassie to make a point. I want to see her squirm and hurt the way she has hurt our family. I wanted to her to think I was going to marry her and then dump her at the altar to hurt her."

"Stop it!" Cassie screams back at him. "Stop it right now! You love me! I know you do!"

"I don't love you," Jacob turns and grits his teeth to her. "I detest you, you bitch!"

Twin Peaks Executive Hotel

"Thank you for being here," Nicholas tells Andy as they exit from a hug as they stand in Nicholas' hotel room. Nicholas knows that Andy demanded that he be let into the hotel room; when Nicholas opened the door, Andy saw Nicholas' hand gun and immediately thought Nicholas was going to hurt himself. The truth is, Nicholas was thinking about hurting himself as he feels like his life is spiraling out of control.

"I have to ask you something," Andy looks into his eyes. "Were you going to hurt yourself?"

"I…I don't know," Nicholas turns away from him. "I've been in a very depressed state lately and I just happened to find the gun. I was just looking at it when you arrived."

"Nicholas," Andy grabs his hand. "I know you're struggling with getting shut out of the church, but you still have a lot to live for. You have so many people that care about you and need you around."

"Robin was telling me the same type of thing," Nicholas admits to him. "I really am grateful that you're here, Andy."

"I'm not going anywhere, Nicholas," Andy looks into his eyes. "And, you have to promise me something."

"What?"

"That you will talk to a professional," Andy says. "You can't go on with these dark thoughts, okay?"

Nicholas nods back to him. "I can keep that promise."

The Pampa Grill

"So, how are you really feeling about ending the search for your child?" Albertinah asks Trenyce and Chris before she takes a sip of her red wine. She just heard from her brother that they decided to not continue looking into the whereabouts of child because they continued to find dead ends.

"Mixed emotions," Trenyce replies to her. "You know, on one hand it is hard because we will never get to know our child."

"But, on the other hand," Chris continues her train of thought because they are on the same page. "It will be nice not getting our hopes up only to be dashed."

"It was really hard always hearing that our new lead was a dead end," Trenyce looks over at Albertinah.

"I can only imagine," Albertinah tells them. "For what it's worth, I'm sorry that it has come to this. But, I understand why you decided this."

"We appreciate your support," Chris replies to his sister. "It's weird that we haven't been that close for so many years but now, I can't imagine going through this without you."

Albertinah smiles back to him. "I wouldn't rather be anywhere else."

Andrew opens the front door looking to grab some food and immediately sees Albertinah sitting with Chris and Trenyce. He can't help but think about their kiss recently; he licks his lips as he thinks about kissing her again. He just wonders how he can do it again because she told him that they couldn't kiss anymore because she is his teacher.

"Nah, I have to do this," he whispers to himself. "I can't stop thinking about her, so that must mean something, right?"

***

"Darling, you seem really upset about something, are you sure you don't want to talk about it?" Felicia asks her son as she takes a bite of her poached salmon salad. She was pleasantly surprised when Tyler asked her to go for dinner together; she suspects that something has happened with her son since he seems to be in a fowl mood. She knows that the family is fighting right now because of Paige's relationship with Max, and that is something that she hates more than anything else in the world.

Tyler takes a sip of his beer as he recalls going to Leah's earlier hoping to get her to change her mind about her and Jeff quitting Robertson Enterprises because they are upset with Dominick for giving Paige money after she moved out of their house. Instead, Leah mentioned how he reacted when a Robertson truck t-boned Kim's car which resulted in Blake's death a few years earlier. He can't believe that his sister would go so low as to mention the worst time in his life.

"You're not saying anything," Felicia notes to her son.

"Leah is out of control," Tyler finally replies to her. "I can't believe how low she is going to prove her points right now."

Felicia sighs back to him. "This entire family is a mess right now," she tells him. "I really hate that the family is fighting. We should be coming together but instead we are at each other's throats."

"I get why you're upset Mom," Tyler admits to his Mom. "But this starts and ends with Leah and Jeff. Once they get their heads out of their asses…"

"Tyler!" Felicia stops him as she can't believe his language.

"I know, I know," Tyler looks back at her. "I'm sorry. I just think they are lashing out at everyone when they should be looking at themselves first."

MW Investigations

"I'm glad that you're still here," Brad announces to Meggan as he walks into her office. After having a drink with Abby at the Pampa Grill, he realized that he had to see Meggan. He left Abby, who was going to find her friends so she could try to get her mind off of the affair that is seemingly tearing the Lawson's apart. He hopes that Meggan will still be a support system to him, because deep down, he does still care for her a great deal.

Meggan looks up from her desk and sees Brad. She knows that they haven't been on good terms since he has been blackmailing into her silence about Cheresa's paternity with her own son's paternity. For him to show up now, something must be going on with him. "Brad, this is a surprise."

"I needed to see you," he admits to her as he moves closer to her. "I know that we haven't been on good terms but I really need you right now, Meg."

"What's wrong?"

"Everything," he whispers back to her. "My family, we are falling apart and there's nothing I can do to stop it."

"It's not Cheresa, is it?"

"No," Brad shakes his head back to her. "It's my Mom. She's been having an affair."

"I'm so sorry Brad," she puts her hand on his shoulder. "This could be the perfect time to tell everyone about Cheresa. We should do it now."

Brad looks back at her in shock. "What the hell are you talking about? You know we can't do that!"

Meggan shrugs her shoulders. "All I know is that Chris and Trenyce just told me they want to stop searching for their child and it broke my heart. I don't think I can lie to them anymore Brad. I can't…"

"Tell them the truth and I will go straight to Jeff," Brad warns her, realizing that if the secret comes out, his family will be even more damaged than what it is now. "I will keep that promise Meggan."

St. Joseph's Church

"You don't mean that" Cassie glares back to Jacob as a tear falls down her cheek. "You are being so cruel!"

"This?" Jacob laughs back to her. "This is the least I could do to you after everything you did to my Mother. You locked her in a cage for months! Who does that?"

"You're a son of a bitch," Cassie grits her teeth back to him. "I hate you!" she yells before she slaps him across the face. Jacob looks back at her in shock before Cassie runs out of the church, still in her wedding dress.

Natasha pulls Jacob into a hug. "I can't believe you did this," she whispers to him, still trying to wrap her head about Jacob's wicked scheme of revenge.

"Yea, son, this was a little over the top," Shane nods back to him. "But, I am glad that you didn't marry that woman."

Jacob caresses his jaw from where Cassie slapped him. "I wouldn't marry her," he tells them. "My family means more to me than that woman. I just wanted to make her pay."

"You certainly did that," Natasha replies to him. "How about we head home and have a bottle of champagne to celebrate?"

"I love that," Jacob chuckles back to her.

The Pier

"Hey, I'm going to rest on the bench for a moment," Dawn tells Cheresa as they continue to walk on the pier together. "I'm really feeling beat."

"Are you sure you're okay?" a concerned Cheresa asks her friend, knowing that Dawn took a nap at her house right before Greg came home. "It's weird that you're always tired."

"Yea, I'm fine. Just give me a couple of minutes. I want to be here for you right now."

Cheresa watches Dawn sit on the bench before she turns around and moves to the edge of the pier. She looks into the flowing river and gets lost in the water for a moment. She turns around and sees Dawn sleeping on the bench. Cheresa sighs and shakes her head still confused by Dawn's exhaustion.

Cheresa starts to walk a little further and doesn't see a loose rope on the pier that is coming off one of the boats rocking next to the wooden walk way. She, suddenly, slips on the rope and falls on to the pier, which causes her to have the wind knocked out of her. As she rolls on the pier moaning in agony, she rolls over and falls into the river, which causes a huge splash! Meanwhile, Dawn continues to sleep on the bench, high from her medication, not realizing that Cheresa is floating face down in the water.
