The Sugarbowl

"How was your New Year's?" Natasha asks Robbie as she takes a sip of her latte before looking back at her brother. She knows that she saw him at Christmas, and he was anticipating the fact that Leah was about to choose between him and Jeff; Natasha is now curious to know how Leah decided, and if she went back to Jeff, does Robbie needs her?

"It was quiet," Robbie replies to her quickly, knowing that Leah wants to make her marriage to Jeff work, so he stayed in.

"At Christmas you mentioned that Leah was close to making a decision about who she wanted to be with," Natasha looks him in the eyes and can see the pain there. "Oh Robbie…"

He shakes his head a little, trying to remain upbeat. "I'm fine," he tells her quickly. "I had a feeling that this was coming."

"It still couldn't have been easy for you to hear that she wants to be with Jeff," Natasha replies to him. "Do you need anything?"

"Nah, I'll be good," Robbie says back to her. "But, thanks."

"Maybe this means you and Victoria can get back together? You two seemed solid for a long time."

"That has come and gone," Robbie informs her. "Victoria has told me repeatedly that she won't be a second choice."

Natasha shrugs her shoulders. "After everything that you two have been through together, I think you owe it to her and your love to reach out one more time. Maybe my half-sister will surprise you."

"You really think so?"

"What could it hurt?" Natasha asks him. "You've lost Leah, it shouldn't mean that you have to lose Victoria too."

Robbie uneasily nods back to her. "Thanks Nat," he tells her. "I'll mull it over and see what happens."

At the window bar, Andrew sits in the middle between Paige and Cheresa. After meeting Cheresa on New Year's Eve, Andrew thought he should introduce her to Paige; he realized that since they are both good friends with Dawn, it would be ideal for them to meet, so they could all get to know one another.

"What a small world that you two randomly met at the Pampa Grill on New Year's Eve," Paige moves a piece of her hair behind her ear. "How are you liking Twin Peaks so far?"

Cheresa smiles back over to her new friends. "My parents are actually here, so I'm not really new to the city exactly," she reveals to them.

"You didn't mention that at the party," Andrew replies, surprised to hear that Cheresa's parents are here too.

"Yea, I guess it didn't come up. I think we've all been surprised that we all know Dawn," Cheresa purses her lips together. "Do you guys ski or snow board? It would be cool to head up to the mountains one weekend."

"I don't do either," Paige chuckles back to her. "But, I'd be game to hang out in a cabin by a fire for a while!"

"That sounds fun," Andrew winks back to her before looking back at Cheresa. "We should get Dawn on board and see what works for her."

"Yea," Cheresa nods back to her. "After everything she's been through, she could probably use some time away and to just have fun."

"I couldn't agree more," Paige smiles back to her. "Cheresa, I think we are going to get along very well."

Twin Peaks General Hospital

"I'm glad I caught you before you left for the day," Victoria purses her lips together as she stands in the doorway of Shane's office at the hospital and watches him put some files into his briefcase. As she looks at him, she can't help but think back to the party on New Year's Eve when Shane kissed her. The kiss has taken her by surprise because she has been so focused on moving on from Robbie; but a part of her did like reconnecting with her ex-husband again.

"Yea, I'm just on my way out. Are you working the day shift today?" he looks up at her.

"You've been here all night?" she sighs back to him, realizing that he is about to leave so he must have been on the graveyard shift.

"My favorite shifts," he winks back to her as he nods. "I'm glad that I ran into you. I think we should discuss what happened on New Year's, don't you?"

Victoria feels her heart skip a beat as she isn't sure why she is so nervous talking to Shane about their kiss. "I guess so," she nods back to him, as she moves inside his office and closes the door behind herself. "It was just a kiss, Shane."

"I know, I know," he laughs back to her. "And, we've done a lot more in the past. But, I am seeing Cassie."

Victoria nods her head back to him before she waves her hand in the air. "Say no more," she looks back at him. "The absolute last thing I need is to get involved with a man who is already seeing someone else. Been there, done that, don't need to go down that road again."

"I don't want to hurt you," he says moving closer to her, knowing her recent history with Robbie.

"You're not hurting me," she replies to him. "We kissed on a night when people tend to kiss. But more importantly, you're my friend and I don't want to do anything that could ruin that."

"Me neither," Shane says back to her. "I cherish that we can bounce things off one another when we have too."

"I like that too," Victoria smiles back to him. "We can forget the kiss happened."

"Already forgotten," he winks back to her before he pulls her into a hug, even though the both are clearly still thinking about the kiss that they shared.

The Cascade Apartments; Apartment 305; Donovan's Home

"You slept in," Donovan says to Craig, who slowly walks into the kitchen and immediately pours himself a cup of coffee. As Donovan looks at Craig, he can't help but recall how the previous night Craig showed up at his doorstep and they ended up in bed together. At the time it seemed like a good idea, but now he is wondering if it was a good idea because he knows that he still has feelings for Lukas.

"Yea, sorry," Craig takes a sip of his java. "I guess you wore me out last night."

Craig looks over at Donovan, who stands up. Immediately, Craig can tell that something is going on with Donovan just by the look on his face. "It was a joke?"

"I know it was," Donovan comes up to him. "I don't want you to think that I didn't enjoy last night, because it was great."

Craig sets his coffee cup down and braces himself for what Donovan is about to tell him.
"But something is going on with you this morning," Craig replies to him quickly. "What's wrong?"

Donovan sighs a little and runs his hand through his hair. "I still have feelings for Lukas,"
Donovan admits to him. "I know that's not what you want to hear, but I don't want to lead you on."

"You know that Lukas has thrown you to the curb," Craig defends their being together. "I don't get why you're so hung up on him. We could be so great together. Last night proved that."

"I don't deny that," Donovan replies to him. "I guess I just don't want you to think that we are going to be a couple now or anything."

"What are you saying? You think last night was a mistake?"

Donovan looks down. "I don't want you to take this the wrong way," he whispers back to him. "I had fun last night, it was great. But deep down, yea, I guess I do think it was a mistake."

Craig shakes his head back to him. "I guess I'll get dressed and see myself out."

"Craig, wait," Donovan calls out to him.

"No," Craig doesn't turn around to face him. "I think we've said all there is to say."

The Richardson Estate; Meggan & Lukas' Home

Lukas rolls over in his large king size bed and opens his eyes quickly when he doesn't feel anyone next to him. He slowly sits up in bed and looks at his clock, realizing that it is late in the morning already. He looks back in the bed and can tell that someone was with him last night; not just someone, Andy. He looks around the room and doesn't see any sign of his lover, but he doesn't get a sly grin on his face remembering how hot their sex was the night before.

"Andy?" he calls out as he crawls out of bed, exposing his toned, naked body. "Where'd you go?"

He moves over to the washroom and sees the door closed. He knocks on the door. "Andy?"

"Yea, just a minute," Andy's voice calls out.

"Take your time," Lukas chuckles back to him. "I'm just glad you're still here."

Andy opens the door and to Lukas' surprise, he is fully dressed. "I just had a quick shower. I didn't mean to worry you."

"You didn't have to shower," Lukas replies to him. "I was hoping we'd spend the morning in bed together."

Andy uneasily chuckles back to him. Before he can say anything, Lukas leans in and kisses him. "Last night was so hot," Lukas tells him. "I had a really good time with you."

"Thanks," Andy says, breaking away from his kisses. "I had a nice time too."

"That's it?" Lukas asks him in surprise. "Just a 'nice time?'"

"Why don't you shower and get dressed?" Andy replies to him. "I'll take you to breakfast and we can talk?"

Lukas chuckles back to him. "Sure, I could use the food. As long as we come back here after?"

Andy doesn't get a chance to respond to Lukas, who moves past him and turns the shower on. "I just hope you can accept what I have to tell you," Andy whispers to himself, as he looks back at Lukas.

The Tower's; Floor Four; Adam's Condo

Max knocks on the door quickly to his father's condo, hoping that no one will open the door. He looks behind him when the door doesn't open. He slowly pulls out a key that Adam gave him and uses it in the door. He unlocks the door and swiftly moves inside.

Once inside, he looks around the dark room before turning a light on. "Adam must be at the police station finding out what is happening with Barbara," he whispers to himself. He moves closer to the bar in the living room and remembers how he had a close conversation between himself and Adam a few weeks earlier; Adam admitted that he ended things with Robin, but Max still isn't sure why Adam did this. He knows that something else must be going on with his father, which is why he is here today. He is determined to figure out what is going on with Adam.

"I have to know the truth," he says, as he starts looking around. "Because, I can use that to my advantage in hopes of getting together with Robin."

He moves to the bookshelf and starts looking around for something, anything, that can help him learn the truth. Soon he finds a file buried between two books. He pulls it out and quickly reads the first line. "Dad's discharge papers from the hospital," he reads out loud. "That's when he ended things with Robin; after the accident."

He continues to read the document and opens his mouth in shock. "My God," he says as he looks up. "Adam is impotent. That's why he ended things with Robin," he says as he chuckles. "He can't be a man with her anymore. This is perfect. This is exactly what I needed to find out, because I can more than be a man for Robin."

The Penthouse

"How was your coffee with Robbie?" Cory asks his wife as she opens the door to the penthouse and quickly moves inside.

"It was alright," Natasha replies to him quickly. "Leah has decided to make her marriage to Jeff work, so I think he was a little bummed out."

"Sorry to hear that," Cory welcomes her with a hug once her jacket is off. "That situation was bound to end up with someone getting hurt."

"Yea, I just hope he can rebound quickly. I told him that much," she replies to him. "How's your day going?"

"I can't complain," he says back to her. "I was just looking at the sales from Wild Night on New Years, and we had a great night."

Cory looks over at Natasha, who is pouring herself a glass of red wine and not really focused on what he is saying. "Nat, did you hear what I said?"

Natasha turns back around after taking a sip of her wine. "Sorry, I guess I was distracted. But yes, I'm thrilled that Wild Night did so well."

"What are you thinking about?" Cory asks her. "Hopefully not the adoption wait list, you know that will happen when it is time for us."

"Yes, I know that," Natasha replies to him quickly. "I was thinking about Cassie Nova and her relationship with Shane. I think she's using him, I really do. The question is, how am I going to prove it?"

Cory sighs heavily. "Oh Nat, not this again," Cory mumbles back to her. "You have to let this go. We have so much else going on right now."

"I know," Natasha rolls her eyes back to him. "I agree, we do have a lot going on, but Cory, after everything that woman has put me through, I just can't let her worm her way back into our lives. I can't believe that Shane doesn't see what she is capable of!"

"Shane is an adult," Cory reminds her. "Whom he chooses to spend his time with, is really up to him."

"Not if it's with Cassie Nova," Natasha grits her teeth together. "Especially because I think she is using him. I just have to find a way to prove it. I won't stop until I can prove it."

The Pampa Grill

"Did you have a nice shift at the hospital?" Cassie asks Shane as they sit across from one another at the restaurant having a late lunch together.

Shane looks back over at her and smiles. "I can't complain about it," he replies to her. "It was nice that there were no major disasters."

Cassie chuckles back to him. "In this town, that could be considered a huge success."

"I couldn't agree more. How was your morning?"

Cassie shrugs her shoulder. "I didn't have any patients, so I spent the morning just relaxing."

"Okay, you win on that front."

"I have been thinking about something, though," she purses her lips together. "I was looking at my calendar and I realized something."

Shane arches his eyebrow back to her. "And, what would that be?"

"Your birthday is coming up," she says as their eyes lock. "Let me throw you a birthday party?"

Shane chuckles back to her. "I don't know," he waves his hand in the air. "I'm probably a bit old to be having a birthday party."

"It'll be fun though!" Cassie replies to him, determine to make this party happy. She knows that throwing Shane a birthday party will drive Natasha crazy. "And, it'll give me the chance to do something nice for you," she continues to tell him as he smiles back to her. "Come on, what do you say? Let me throw you a party?"

"Okay, okay," Shane chuckles back to her, thrilling Cassie. "You can throw me a birthday party."

At another table, Kim and Tyler sit across from one another. "Your text made it sound important," Kim tells him before she picks up her glass of white wine and takes a sip of it, hoping that nothing is wrong. "Is everything okay?"

Tyler nods back to her and remembers a recent conversation between the two of them where Kim told him that if he ever wanted a job, she could help him get one at Roboto. At the time, Tyler thought that it was insane, but he is getting squirrely not working at Robertson Enterprises. And, he isn't ready to go back to work for his father after everything that happened with Blake and the ice storm last year. Plus, having something new to focus on will take his mind off Daisy.

"I think it is important," Tyler takes a sip of his beer. "Do you remember the last time we were here together?"

Kim arches her eyebrow. "Right before Christmas, I think?"

"Yea," Tyler nods back to her. "You said if I ever needed a job…"

Kim chuckles back to him, remembering the offer for him to work at Roboto. "You said I was insane to suggest it," she replies to him. "But, the offer does still stand, I'd love for you to come work at Roboto."

"And, you're sure that Bob would be okay with it?"

Kim uneasily nods back to him. "Leave Bob to me," she purses her lips together.

Tyler nods back to her. "Okay, then I accept. I'll come to work at Roboto."

Kim smiles and gets up to hug Tyler. "I'm so glad you're accepting," she laughs back to him. "You won't regret this Tyler, we'll do great things together."

"I hope so," he looks back at her. "Thanks for the offer, Kim."

Robbie sits at the bar and orders a beer, recalling his conversation with Natasha earlier. He wonders if he should reach out to Victoria one more time to see if she is willing to put everything behind them and move on together. He takes a sip of his beer trying to think of his next move.

"Hey," Leah comes up behind him. "It's a bit early to be drinking, don't you think?"

Robbie turns around and looks at Leah with a sly grin on his face. "I have the day off, I thought why not."

"That's fair," Leah sits next to him. "I hope I'm not the cause of the drinking."

"Nah," Robbie replies to her quickly.

"You have to know that I never meant to hurt you, Robbie," Leah says back to him. "I just wanted to do what was right for me and my future."

Robbie turns to her and grabs her hand. "You never have to apologize to me, Leah," he tells her. "I know that you never meant to hurt me. It was a situation where someone was bound to be hurt. I only want the best for you and Jeff."

Leah feels her eyes swell with water. "Thank you for saying that."

"I mean it," Robbie nods back to her. "If you ever need anything from me, I'll be here for you."

"And the same for me," she smiles back to him.

MW Investigations

"I brought you some lunch from the Riverside Delicatessen," Brad announces to Meggan as he walks into her office holding a takeout bag. He recalls how he was with his friend on New Years Eve when she learned that she was pregnant; he doesn't know all of the details, but he does know that she should be eating more regularly now because she is with child.

Meggan looks up from her desk and grins back to him. "That was sweet of you, thank you," she stands up and moves closer to him. "I hope you brought something for you too, we could eat together?"

"That was the plan," Brad smiles back to her. "I was hoping we could talk more about what we learned on New Year's Eve," he admits to her. "The baby and finding out what your plans are now."

Meggan sighs a little, still having a hard time wrapping her head around the fact that she is pregnant. She can't believe that she was so foolish to have sex with Jeff only for him to leave her for Leah. But, she can't go back and change what has happened and now, she is carrying his child. She hopes that maybe Leah will decide to stay with Robbie instead of Jeff and then they could be a family together.

"Do you know what you want to do about the baby?" he asks her.

Meggan finishes pulling the sandwiches out of the bag and looks up at Brad. "Honestly, I have no idea," she replies to him. "I'm still in shock, if I am honest with you."

"I get that," Brad nods back to her. "But, you know a good place to start would be to tell the father. He should know, don't you think?"

Before Meggan can reply, there's a knock on her office door. Meggan looks over and sees Jeff standing there. "I'm not interrupting, am I?" Jeff asks her, as they lock eyes with one another.
