Scene One
Setting: Twin Peaks General Hospital; Victoria’s Office

Victoria grabs hold of her patient’s file and darts for the door, where she is surprise to see Adam Black’s cryptic face looking back at her from the doorway.

"Adam!" She softly voices to Adam as her cheek starts to brighten a little.

He continues to stand in the doorway dressed professionally in a dark-blue dress shirt that’s tucked loosely in his black slacks.

"I was in the neighborhood, thought I would stop by." He responds immediately following her pronunciation of his name.

"Well, unfortunately, I have a ten o’clock council." She smiles, brushing past him as he makes his way inside her office, insisting that she stay behind.

"It’s only 9:30, surely you can spare a couple of minutes." He says, coming to a final stop at her desk. Victoria follows him inside, closing the door gently before speaking.

"Just like you managed to spare a couple minutes for me in between rendezvous with Helen Mills." She remarks, seeing Adam’s face freeze. She folds her arms and continues, "Yes, I do know all about the latest happenings with you and Helen." She pauses briefly. She then reflects on an initial sadness that is revealed through her words. "I guess it goes to show how little I meant to you."

Adam jumps in, "I do care about you, that’s why I’m here."

She smirks, "Then I would hate to see what you would do to someone you cared absolutely nothing about."

"I know I hurt you . . . ," he starts before Victoria scoffs in anger. Adam then continues, " . . . and I guess that’s why I’m here, to see how you’re doing."

"Well, rest assure, I am just fine." She barks. "I am not locked in my office pining away for you like some fragile invalid who can’t take care of herself without a man. You did me a favor when you left me, so just . . . " She groans suddenly in between the sentence, gripping her forehead as she falls on the couch behind her. Adam immediately rushes to her side.

He catches her on her way down, keeping his arm gripped on one of her shoulders and the other at his side as he sits next to her on the couch. "Are you okay?" He asks.

She jerks her head up slightly, feeling slightly uncomfortable with him in such close proximity. "Yeah, I’m fine, just another one of those headaches."

"How long have these headaches been going on?" He inquires.

"They haven’t been going on. They just happen to be triggered whenever I’m under stress." She hints to Adam.

"Well, in any case, maybe you should consider getting checked out."

Victoria speaks abruptly, "Or maybe I just need you to leave. You can obviously see that I am just fine, so I don’t see any reason why you should stick around." Victoria moves from the couch and walks over to her desk, sitting down in the chair behind it. "What are you waiting for?" She asks.

"Nothing, I was just on my way out." He gets up from the couch and turns to the door, looking back at Victoria, whose eyes practically ushered him out of the office. After a couple seconds, he turns back and exits the office, closing the door behind him.

Scene Two
Setting: The Michaels Home; Chris and Daisy’s House

Daisy and Chris are sitting at the table, chit chatting over breakfast.

“How did it go last night? Was Trenyce happy to be here?” Daisy asks, as she takes a bite of her toast.

Chris looks up from the paper, “Yea I guess so. She seemed...like a teenager, I guess.” he laughs.

They become quiet when they hear Trenyce’s bedroom door open. The young woman emerges from the bedroom, wearing a silk red robe.

Daisy gets up. “Trenyce! Good morning!”

Trenyce looks at Daisy. “It’s still morning? Geez, a girl tries to sleep until the afternoon and she can’t...”

Daisy waits a moment, and then laughs. “You’re funny.”

“I am?” Trenyce asks.

Daisy suddenly hugs her. “I’m so thrilled that you have come to live with us, Trenyce. I hope you know that.”

Trenyce puts on a smile. “Thanks Auntie,” she says through her fake smile. “What’s for breakfast? I’m starving.”

“Oh, we have eggs, bacon and toast,” Chris says from the table.

“Eww! I don’t eat eggs or bacon. Fatty foods are a no-no!” Trenyce says storming out of the kitchen.

Chris and Daisy look at each other.

“What have we gotten ourselves into?” Chris asks his wife.

Scene Three
Setting: The Victors Home; Vinny and Meggan’s House

Meggan rolls over in bed. Although she’s still sleeping, she realizes that she’s far enough over to know that Vinny isn’t in the bed anymore. She slowly opens her eyes. Her head is pounding with a headache. She shuts her eyes again, and tries to will the pain away. She rolls over and glances at the clock. 9:45 it reads.

Suddenly she feels ill. She buries her head in her pill. ’How much did I drink last night?’ she wonders to herself, not even remembering going upstairs to bed. ’You have to stop this Meggan,’ she scolds herself.

She slowly sits up in the bed, and allows her feet to find the floor. She looks at the phone, and sees a red light flashing. ’Someone is on the phone?’ she asks. ’I thought Vinny was at work already? Maybe I just forgot to hang up properly,’ she tells herself as she picks up the phone.

She quickly hears voices, so she covers the receiver so they can’t hear her breath.

“So you’ll stop by later,” a woman’s voice says. Meggan has heard the voice before, but can’t place it.

“Yea. We need to talk,” Vinny replies. Meggan knows his voice anywhere.

“Great. See you about what? Three-ish?” the woman says again. ’Who is she?’ Meggan continues to think.

“Hmm. Are you free for lunch Patricia?” Vinny asks. ’Patricia! Of course,’ Meggan thinks to herself. “I have an hour off at one,” Vinny says.

“I’ll be waiting.” Patricia says hanging up.

Meggan quietly puts the phone down. “Damn you Vinny,” she says.

Scene Four
Setting: The Calimo Mansion; The Guest House

Natasha walks downstairs slowly, with a smile on her face. She’s wearing a white blouse with matching white Capri’s. She can’t stop thinking about the previous evening with Cory, which is why she’s in such good spirits, and smiling.

“We’re back together,” she tells herself. “Finally...” she says as she smells the large bouquet of roses on the end table.

Her thoughts are interrupted by the doorbell ringing. “Who on earth could that be?” she asks herself as she walks to the door. “Leah! What a surprise,” Natasha says allowing her sister in law to enter the living room.

“Morning Natasha. You’re looking well,” Leah says.

“Thank you. You too,” Natasha says hugging Leah. “What brings you by?”

“I need you Natasha. Not as a friend, or a sister in law. I need you as a lawyer. It’s very important.”

“You have my attention,” Natasha says sitting next to Leah on the sofa.

Scene Five
Setting: The Michaels Home; Chris and Daisy’s House

Trenyce lays on her bed until she hears the door shut. “Finally, they’re gone,” she smiles to herself. She gets up from the bed. She’s now fully dressed, wearing black pants with a bright pink T-Shirt.

She enters the kitchen and grabs a plate of the eggs and bacon. As she eats, she gets a grin on her face. “I’m going to make their life hell,” she smirks.

Scene Six
Setting: The Towers; The Penthouse; Cory and Robin’s Home

Cory opens the door to the penthouse and enters. He quickly looks around and lets out a sigh of relief when he doesn’t see Robin. He hopes she’s still asleep. He doesn’t think she’s ready to know that he and Natasha are lovers again.

He moves towards the stairs, but is stopped by Robin coming out of the kitchen.

“Good morning,” she says, taking a sip of her coffee.

“Oh, hey. Thought you were still sleeping,” he says moving off the stairs.

“Look at the clock Cory. It’s almost ten. I guess I don’t have to ask where you were all night,” she scowls.

Cory takes a deep breath. “This is why I was hoping you were sleeping. I...I mean, yea. This is an awkward conversation.”

Robin sits on the sofa. “I guess I should find another apartment, since Natasha will be moving back in.”

Cory sits next to her. “I don’t know about Natasha moving back in, but I do think it would be best if you moved out. This doesn’t mean we are cutting all ties Robin. I still care deeply for you,” he says, putting his arm around her back.

Robin can’t control her emotions any longer, and lets her tears flow from her eyes. “I still can’t believe this is happening Cory. I love you so much...it’s not fair.” She pauses for a second, before whispering “It’s just not fair...”

Cory embraces Robin in a hug. “I’m sorry,” he says fighting back his own tears.

“Yea, me too.”

Scene Seven
Setting: The Towers; Floor One; Kim and Jeff’s Apartment

Kim and Jeff sit at the table, finishing their breakfast.

“So, what’s on the agenda for the day?” she asks him, smiling at him.

“Not much. Oh, wait. Leah and I are going to have another talk about Noah. I’m hoping it’s not another battle field like yesterday.”

“Leah and Robbie are good people Jeff. They don’t want to hurt Noah. I hope you can resolve this without it getting any messier.”

“Yea, me too,” Jeff says.

They are interrupted by Noah, who enters the kitchen from his bedroom.

“Hey buddy, what’s going on?” Jeff smiles.

“Daddy, why is everyone fighting all the time?”

Jeff looks at Kim. “What do you mean?”

“I mean you and Mommy, I mean Leah. You yell at each other. And I hear my name. What did I do wrong?”

“Oh buddy, you didn’t do anything. It’s just a complicated....grown up stuff,” Jeff says kneeling down beside Noah.

Suddenly the phone rings. Kim gets up and grabs the phone.

“Hello,” she answers. “Oh Natasha, hey! How are you?....oh, Jeff? Yea he’s right here. I’ll call you later, and we’ll catch up....Ok. Here’s Jeff,” Kim says giving the phone to Jeff.

“Hey Natasha. This is a surprise,” Jeff says.

“Yes, I’m sure it is,” Natasha says. “Listen, I’ll get right to the point. I’m not calling as a friend, even though Kim is one of my best friends. I’m calling as a lawyer. Leah and Robbie’s attorney. They’ve decided to go after joint custody of Noah.”

The words over the telephone rock Jeff to the core. “I....I can’t believe this....” he says slowly, before hanging up on Natasha.

Kim rushes over to Jeff. “What’s wrong? What’s going on?”

Jeff turns away from Kim, and pounds his fist on the counter. “Damn her!” Jeff yells, as Noah rushes into his bedroom.

Scene Eight
Setting: Wild Night

Meggan enters Wild Night, and quickly scans the night club. It’s almost empty at this time of the day, so she walks over at the bar, and orders vodka, straight up. She gets the glass and slams it back. “Another one,” she says.

She turns when she hears the door open, spotting a woman with striking red hair enter the club. The woman looks around and walks over to the bar and sits a few stools down from Meggan.

“I’ll have a cola and an order of chicken wings,” the woman responds.

Meggan looks at her, and then takes another drink or her vodka.

“A little early to be drinking,” the woman smiles at Meggan.

“I guess for some. Not for me. Meggan Richardson, by the way.”

“Cassie Nova,” she smiles, offering her hand.

Meggan quickly shakes it, before returning to her drink. “Are you new in town? I don’t remember seeing you before?”

“Are you sober enough?” Cassie says under her breath. “I just got here. I’m opening a new restaurant across the road. On Sade Drive.”

“Hmm. That’s a nice lot. Opening soon?”

“Couple weeks,” Cassie replies, taking a bite of her chicken wing.

“Well, it’s been nice, but I should be going,” Meggan says slamming her glass back.

“Are you alright to drive?”

“Of course,” Meggan says leaving.

Scene Nine
Setting: The Calimo Home; Robbie and Leah’s House

Leah and Robbie sit in the den, across from each other.

“I’m expecting a call from Jeff anytime now,” Leah says quietly.

“I hope we did the right thing, Leah. It seems wrong right now,” Robbie says.

“I know we did.”

Suddenly Jeff arrives and starts pounding on the door. He finally barges in.

“What the hell is going on?” Robbie demands to know.

Jeff looks at Leah. “You won’t get away with this!”

Noah enters the house, and rushes to Leah. “Mommy!”

“Hey you. How are you?” Leah says bending down and hugging her son, while looking at Jeff. “I have an idea. Why don’t you take some of the toys you got and play in the front yard while I talk with your Daddy?”

“OK,” Noah sighs. “But please don’t fight anymore.”

Noah rushes back outside.

“You won’t get away with this!” Jeff yells.

“Would you keep your voice down Jeff! Noah doesn’t want us fighting. Get a grip. We can do this in a civilized manor,” Leah says.

“Civilized manor? I think that went away when I got a phone call from Natasha earlier.”

***

Noah plays with his ball in the front yard. He tosses it up and catches it. He looks back at the house for a second, and sees his mother and father engaging in conversation.

“They are mad again,” he says to himself.

***

Meggan gets behind the wheel of her car. She pulls out of the Wild Night parking lot, and looks on to the road. She shakes her head to try to get rid of the blurred vision.

“Almost home, then I can sleep it off,” she tells herself.

***

Robbie intervenes between Leah and Jeff. “Stop it! There’s a child at sake here! This can be done correctly,” he says.

“Oh this is great. The big shot cop now directing things,” Jeff says sarcastically.

“What’s that suppose to mean?” Leah says, in defense of her husband.

“Nothing, nothing at all,” Jeff replies. “This is getting us no where!”

***

Noah tosses the ball high up in the sky. He looks up to see where the ball is, but he gets distracted when he sees a large flock of birds. He watches the birds until they fly away. He smiles, then wonders where his ball is. He looks around and spots it on the road. He rushes out on the road....

***

Meggan speeds up and swerves around the corner. She looks at a sign. “Speed limit 25” it reads, but it’s all a blur to her. She picks up the speed, as she knows she’s almost home. She doesn’t see anything. Noah’s bending down to pick up his ball. He looks up and sees the car approaching. He doesn’t even have time to scream. The bumper hits the child, and throws him on top of the windshield. His body tumbles off the roof and down the back and splats on the road again.

Meggan screams inside, but keeps driving, not knowing what just happened. “Almost home...” she whispers, as a tear falls from her cheek.”

Noah’s body lies on the road, as his ball slowly bounces to the curb, slowly coming to a complete stop. Leah turns her head and screams at the sight of her son lying on the road, in a large poll of blood.
