Scene 1
Setting: The Towers; Floor Twelve; Adam & Victoria’s Apartment

Victoria, unable to sleep most of the night, is now sitting on the couch, holding a coffee mug in front of her, the aroma quickly moving its way up her nose. Her mind is completely blocked by Adam's proclamation to Helen last night that she doesn't hear him come in the room.

"Hey, what's up?" Adam asks as he moves over to the couch and sits down, quickly causing Victoria to set her mug down and rise from the couch.

"Nothing." She barks, walking over to the kitchen counter.

"It doesn't sound like nothing to me, it sounds like you're..." he voices before Victoria cuts him off.

"I wish everyone would stop trying to tell me how I feel." She says, keeping her back turned to him and growing tired of the analyzations.

"I’m your fiancé and I care about you." He proclaims to Victoria, who is mystified by the words and mutters to herself, "I bet you are!"

"What?" He asks not catching what she says.

Victoria walks behind the counter of the kitchen and turns her eyes to him, "that didn’t matter to you last night."

"So that’s what this is about, you’re upset because I accompanied Helen to the pre-reception of Robbie and Leah’s wedding," he implies.

Her voice then escalates, "This has to do with more than that stupid pre-reception and Helen Mills, this is about..." she manages to bark before Adam intercedes.

"Us... it isn’t working!" He concludes as Victoria shakes her head in distress.

Scene 2
Setting: The Twin Peaks Sun; Kim’s Office

Kim awakes on her sofa. A small blanket covered her. She sits up, alert. She looks around her small office and sees no one.

"Thank goodness they didn’t find me last night," she says to herself. "I knew they’d probably look at my apartment first."

She walks over and grabs her purse from her desk. She opens her purse and finds her compact. She opens it and looks at herself.

"Oh my...I look terrible. I have to go home and shower," she says. "Wait, what if Jackson is there? I can’t go home. Where am I going to go?"

She stops when she hears a door close from outside her office. "Oh my God, Jackson’s here!" she whispers. She walks over to her sofa, and kneels down to the ground. There’s a knock on her door. She remains silent. The door slowly opens, and Jeff enters the office.

"Hello?" he calls out.

Kim looks up and sees Jeff. "Down here," she says. "Don’t ask, long story," she says getting up.

"Are you alright?" Jeff asks her.

"I’m alright, now that you’re here," she says, gathering her things.

"Really?" Jeff asks, with a sly smile on his face. "Aren’t you Kimberly Reeves?"

"My friends call me Kim," she smiles at him. "And you are...?"

"Jeff. Jeff Claus."

"Oh, you’re Jeff," Kim says, laughing.

"I guess everyone knows who I am, huh?"

"No, not everyone. Just friends of Leah’s."

"I hope you don’t hold anything against me," Jeff laughs.

"Not at all. You were fighting for the woman you love. Can’t argue with that," Kim says.

"Well I’m glad. I don’t have many friends in town. Listen, if you need a place to crash, you can stay at my hotel..." Jeff says, noticing her bedding.

"Hey, if you’re trying..." Kim says, with an angry tone.

"...trying to be your friend," Jeff smiles.

"OK, just needed to get that clear," Kim laughs.

"You look like you could use a shower," Jeff says.

"Thank you so much, Jeff. I’ll tell you the story on the way."

Scene 3
Setting: The Calimo Mansion; The Guest House

Natasha emerges at the staircase, wearing a white robe, with red flowers on it. She has her blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail. She walks down the stairs. She looks at the fireplace, and sees that the fire had died during the night. She proceeds to the kitchen, and sees that coffee maker had been turned on. "Gotta love the auto-start," she says pouring a cup.

She takes a sip of the hot coffee when she hears the doorbell ring. "Who could that be so early?" she wonders, as she walks to the door. She opens the door and sees Shane.

"Shane! Good morning, come in. It’s freezing out there," she laughs.

"Morning Natasha."

"I was just having some coffee. Do you want a cup?" she asks.

"That would be great," Shane says, keeping his hands behind his back.

"OK, I’ll be right back," she smiles.

Shane watches Natasha leave the living room. She soon emerges with a cup of coffee.

"So, why are you here so early?" she asks, setting his cup on the coffee table.

"For this," he says, walking up to her and kissing her on the lips. "Happy Valentine’s Day," he says. He pulls back from her, and reveals a bouquet of red roses from behind his back.

"Oh, Shane!" Natasha smiles. "They are so beautiful."

"Not nearly as beautiful as you," he says, kissing her again.

Natasha quickly pulls out of the kiss. "I need to get a vase," she says.

Shane sighs, and sits on the sofa. He realizes that he went too far by kissing Natasha again. ‘She’s still not over Cory,’ he says to himself.

Natasha returns with the roses in a crystal vase. "Thank you so much Shane," she smiles. She sets the flowers on the fireplace mantle, and admires them.

"No problem. I knew..." he stops himself mid sentence.

"You knew what?" Natasha says turning around.

"No, forget it."

Natasha walks over to him. "No, what were you going to say?"

"I knew Cory wouldn’t be here. And I didn’t want you to have a bad day," he says.

Natasha gets a tear in her eye, and sits next to him. "You are so thoughtful, Shane Glubbs. What did I do to get a friend like you?" she asks him, hugging him.

"Yea, friends," he says quietly to himself.

Natasha exits from the embrace. "So, Mother told me you were with Rebecca before you left last night. What’s that all about?" Natasha teases him.

"Nothing. We were just talking," Shane says, blushing a little.

"You’re blushing, Shane. Oh my. You must have feelings for her. You would make her very happy," Natasha continues to tease him.

"Only, she’s with Jason Sanders."

"Oh. I knew Jason was seeing someone. But I didn’t realize he was serious with Rebecca. It doesn’t mean you can’t have a future with Rebecca," she says.

Shane gets up and walks to the center of the room. "I would rather just drop this, please."

Natasha realizes that Shane does have feelings for Rebecca. "OK, I’ll drop it. Thank you, by the way."

"For what?" he says, looking at her.

"Making this a very special Valentine’s Day," she smiles back at him.

Scene 4
Setting: The Towers; Floor Twelve; Adam & Victoria’s Apartment

Victoria folds her hands as she looks angrily out toward the window. Adam sits on the couch for another moment and watches before saying something, "We have to talk sometime."

"There is no need to talk, if things aren’t working, there’s only one thing left to do." She says in an ominously calm state, looking out toward the window.

"What’s that?" he asks.

She puts out her left index finger and begins to remove the ring as a tear begins to fall down her cheek, but Adam wipes it away and stops her, "You don’t have to take that off-- I don’t want you to walk away from this thinking you’re the blame."

"Then who should I blame?" She barks, disgusted by his calm manor.

"Blame me if it helps you feel better. After all, I’m the one that slept with you when I was still in love with Natasha– I guess I needed a distraction." He says in a nonchalant tone.

"And who better to give you your thrills than little Miss Victoria– hey, she’s good to sleep with, but she’s just not marriage material and sure as hell is no Natasha." She replies with an escalation of anger in her voice.

"Perhaps if we met..." he says trying to calm her down, but Victoria won’t have it.

"Cut the bull, you are leaving me for one reason and one reason only, so you can be with that damn school teacher." She shouts moving toward the couch, throwing Adam for a loop. "Yes, I do mean Helen, the woman you have been sleeping with behind my back. The bitch you pledge your love to last night on the very couch you sit. Of course you’re over Natasha and you may have found her replacement in Helen, but let me tell you something, I won’t go quietly." She concludes with a look of fury and marches off to the bedroom, Adam then takes a deep breath.

Scene 5
Setting: The Towers; The Penthouse; Cory and Robin’s Home

The sun light creeps into the bedroom, casting light onto the large, king sized water bed. The black satin sheets cover Robin’s naked body. She begins to wake up from the sunlight touching her head.

She rolls over and feels the bed empty. Startled, she sits up. ‘Where’s Cory?’ she wonders. Rattled, she crawls out of bed and slips on her red robe and slippers. She walks out of the bedroom and looks in the washroom. Empty. But she can tell that the shower was used. She walks towards the stairs. "Cory?" she calls. "Are you down here?"

Robin walks down the stairs, but freezes on the last step. Her eyes become fixed on an envelope sitting on the desk. It has her name on it. Written in Cory’s hand writing.

"Oh my God," Robin says slowly. "He’s left me...and he did it with a note," she says, getting a tear in her eye.

‘How could he do this?’ she wonders as she slowly walks towards the desk. ‘He told me he wanted to be with me. Me. He told me he loved me. Me. But, once again, I was wrong. Why do I get my hopes up?’ she asks herself as she opens the envelope.

Robin takes out the letter. "Oh my..."

Scene 6
Setting: The Michael’s Home; Chris and Daisy’s House

A groggy Daisy walks from the bedroom to the kitchen. Although, she’s half asleep still, her mind is racing. ‘Chris wasn’t in bed again. Where has he disappeared this time?’ she asks herself.

She stumbles into the kitchen, and sees the surprise of her life. The dinning table has three candles burning, and a bouquet of red roses. An omelet on each plate, with toast, jam and orange juice.

"Morning baby," Chris says putting his arms around his wife’s waist and kissing her on the cheek.

"What’s all this?" Daisy asks, grabbing a piece of bacon from the plate.

"You don’t remember. This is a first," Chris laughs. "It’s Valentine’s Day."

Daisy laughs. "Oh my goodness, I completely forgot. You did all this for me?"

Chris gets up from the table and kisses her. "I know things have been rough between us lately, but I do love you."

"And I love you," Daisy says. "Now let’s eat. I’m starving."

Scene 7
Setting: The Calimo Mansion; The Master Bedroom

Sofia lays in bed, still sleeping. Bob enters the room wearing his black robe, and he walks over to the bedside, and sits next to Sofia. He moves down and kisses her on the lips.

Sofia smiles. "Good morning, my darling," she says opening her eyes.

"It will be even better, my love," Bob smiles as he hands Sofia a present.

"A present? So early?"

"A Valentine, for my Valentine," Bob smiles.

"Oh, Robert, you really shouldn’t have," she giggles. "OK, you should have."

Bob laughs. "Well, open it!"

Sofia unwraps the gift. She unveils a black jewelry box. She opens the box and sees a diamond necklace. "Oh, Bob. It’s beautiful."

"Not nearly as beautiful as you, my dear," Bob says kissing her.

"I do you love," Sofia says.

Scene 8
Setting: The Towers; Floor Twelve; Adam & Victoria’s Apartment

A doorbell leads Victoria out of her bedroom and into the main room where she quickly notices that Adam is not there. "He couldn’t get out of here fast enough. Well, if he thinks I am going to watch him ride off into the sunset with..." she voices to herself before the ring of the bell cuts her off.

Victoria walks over to the door and answers, "Hi Can I help you?" She asks.

"Special delivery for Adam Black." The messenger responds.

"Oh, I guess I will sign those for you then." She quickly runs back in her apartment and grabs a pen and then signs the delivery transcript.

"Thank you and Happy Valentine’s Day." The messenger says as he hands her the package and then departs. Victoria is too shock to respond as she closes the door and quickly puts the package down. She begins to feel teary-eye again and rushes out the main room.

Scene 9
Setting: The Towers; The Penthouse; Cory and Robin’s Apartment

Robin drops the note from Cory and rushes to the terrace. She opens the door and finds a box. She opens it and sees an index card. It reads "Walk to the kitchen".

Robin gets up and returns inside. She shuts the door to the terrace and walks into the kitchen. Inside the kitchen, Robin finds another index card with a package. The card reads "Open the package and come up stairs to the guest room."

Robin opens the package and finds a new bikini. "What on earth..." Robin says slowly.

She walks up stairs and enters the guest room. A stunned Robin sees a hot tub, with champagne, balloons...and Cory.

"Cory, what is all this?" she asks.

"Our Valentine’s Day retreat," he smiles, as he takes off his robe. He walks over in his swim trunks and kiss Robin.

"I was so worried. When I saw the note from you...I thought," she begins.

"What did you think?" he asks, holding her head in his hands.

"I thought you were leaving me," she cries.

Cory kisses her again. "I’m with you. Now and always," he says.

"I love you Cory," she says.

"I love you. Now change into your bikini. I can’t wait to see it on you," he teases.

Robin leaves the room, and enters the master bedroom. She takes off her robe, and is about to take off her bra, when she stops. She walks over to her dresser and finds the pills Shane gave her. She opens the bottle and takes three pills. She walks back to the bed, and continues to change into her bikini.

***

In the guest bedroom, Cory slides into the hot tub. He picks up a glass of champagne, and takes a slow drink. ’What’s wrong with me?’ he asks himself. ’I’m with Robin. I love her....but all I think about is Natasha...’ he continues to himself.

Robin emerges in her bikini. "Cory?" she asks. Cory doesn’t respond. "Cory?" she says louder, finally taking him out of his daze.

"Wow, you look great," he smiles.

"Really? Where were you just now?" she asks, sliding into the hot water.

"Thinking about this..." he says putting his glass down, and pulling her onto his lap to kiss her passionately.
