Scene One - Riverbench Winery; The Richardson Estate; Santa Barbara

Just off the living room of the large mansion, there is a terrace that overlooks the vineyard. On a hot summer day, it's the perfect place to sit and relax, as it has an amazing view. On the table, there is an opened bottle of the 2007 rose and some sparkling water. Meggan listens intently as Chris and Trenyce, both of whom arrived at the estate earlier in the day for the wedding's, tell her about their trip to Houston, where their attempt to locate their biological child hit a snag. Meggan, of course, knows that she purposely sent the two to Houston, all the while knowing that the child in question wasn't their child because she's helping Frederick with his plan to send them on a goose chase. Right now, however, she can't help but feel bad because she can see how upset they are, especially Trenyce.

"I just am wondering where we go from here," Trenyce sighs as Chris finishes telling Meggan about Houston. Trenyce is grateful that Chris did this because it was too emotional for her to get into with Meggan. "The last thing I want is to always get my hopes up only for them to be dashed away so quickly."

"I know that it is difficult," Meggan quickly replies to them as she pours them a glass of wine and some water for herself. "But, the thing with this type of search is that you just never know which lead will turn out to be real or another false start. I can stop looking if that's what you two want. I don't want to upset you"

Chris and Trenyce turn to each other and look at each other, already knowing what each other's minds are thinking. "No, it's not what I want," Chris quickly says back to her. "I want to try to find our child. It's what keeps me going right now."

Trenyce uneasily nods back to them. "Yea, I know," she admits to them, trying not to cry. "I'd like to find our child too. But, I'm just tired of getting my hopes up. I need to get it together."

"I'm here for you," Chris replies to her as he grabs her hand. "We can do this, especially if it means at the end Meggan will find out child."

Meggan takes a sip of her water as she sees Frederick emerge onto the terrace. "I will definitely keep looking," she tells them. "It might just take some time since I'm about to get married."

"Chris, Trenyce," Frederick announces as he comes up to the table, trying to be extra nice. "I'm so glad you two are here. Are you getting settled okay? I see you're having an 2007 rose, that was excellent year."

Chris rolls his eyes knowing that Frederick is being overly nice to them right now. He knows that the doctor actually has it out for him and Trenyce, and frankly, the feeling is mutual. He doesn't trust Frederick as far has he can throw him. "We are getting on just fine," he manages to say back to him.

"Perfect," Frederick replies to them. "I'd like this to be the start of something new. I'd like to bury the hatchet."

"Would you now?" Chris asks him, not believing a word the doctor is saying.

"I would, and to prove myself, I have a surprise for you," Frederick announces as he looks over at the doorway and Andrew appears.

"Andrew?" Trenyce asks as she gets tears in her eyes, having not seen the boy in so long. Only, he's not a boy anymore he's a handsome young man. "Is that really you?"

"Are you sure going to check on Jemma is the right thing to do?" Vinny asks Daisy as they stand outside of Jemma's room in the mansion. Vinny recalls how earlier in the day, Jemma was seemingly not feeling well due to being too hot so she came to her room to lay down. He knows that Daisy is concerned for her Aunt but he wishes that she would focus on their wedding, since that is the reason they are in Santa Barbara after all.

Daisy looks back at Vinny and can tell that his patience is wearing thin with her thinking that there is something going on with Jemma and Frederick and that isn't even the point right now; she's just concerned about Jemma's health since she didn't look so well earlier. "I just want to make sure that she's okay," Daisy tells him, knowing Jemma's health must come first. "She looked like she could have gotten sun stroke or something. She should have a lot of water. I just want to make sure she's healthy."

"Okay, okay," Vinny says in defeat. "I'm going to go and check out the pool in the back. Join me later?"

"That sounds like fun," she winks at him before she gives him a quick kiss and he leaves her alone outside of the Jemma's room.

She moves up to the door and knocks once. When she doesn't hear anything from Jemma, so she opens the door slowly and peers inside. Jemma has the blinds drawn and as she is laying asleep in the large bed. Daisy is about to shut the door to let her Aunt sleep when she hears Jemma call out. "No, Frederick please!" she says, as she thrashes around in the bed. "I said, no!"

Daisy comes into the bedroom and moves up to the bed. "Jemma," she calls out to her Aunt, hoping to wake her up. "You're having a nightmare, it's okay."

Daisy moves over to the side of the bed and sits on the bed as she can Jemma thrashing around with sweat on her forehead. She starts to shake Jemma, "Wake up," she yells until Jemma opens her eyes.

"Where….where am I?" she asks out in confusion.

"We are in Santa Barbara, at the winery," Daisy explains to Jemma.

Jemma uneasily nods back to her. "I hate this place," Jemma reveals to her, still not entirely sure what she is saying as she is groggy from just waking up from a nightmare.

"What do you mean, you hate this place?" Daisy asks her. "This is our first time being here."

"No, Miss Daisy, that's where you're wrong," Jemma tells her with fear in her eyes. "I've been here before. Many, many years ago and I hate it. This is the place of the devil."

"I'm glad that you were able to get time off work to come to the wedding," Donovan tells Craig as they walk hand in hand through some of the vineyard. Donovan was invited to the wedding because he is close with Daisy and Vinny, so his plus one is Craig. He was hoping it wouldn't been too awkward because Meggan is Lukas' brother and they were both previously involved with Lukas. Thankfully, Meggan has said yes to them being there because she wanted them at her wedding.

Craig stops and pulls up his sun glasses and looks at his lover. "I'm glad I'm here too," he admits to Donovan. "I've always wanted to come to Santa Barbara, but this estate is more than I could have imagined. It kinda puts a new spin on Lukas for me."

Donovan arches his eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, can you imagine growing up at a place like this? With all these servants and bulters? I'm not saying Lukas was spoiled, but you could tell that he always sort of got his way," Craig continues to tell him.

Donovan nods back to him. "Yea, I guess so," Donovan replies to him. "Anyways, I don't want to spend our holiday time talking about Lukas. How about we had back to the house?"

"You want to be inside?" Craig winks back at him.

"Yea, maybe in our bedroom," Donovan smirks back to him. "That's what I want."

"I love the way you think," Craig says as they turn around and start walking back to the house.

A few meters in front of them, a person emerges from the vines, holing a basket full of grapes. Donovan and Craig freeze in their tracks as they look at the toned, shirtless man taking off his sun glasses, immediately recognizing him.

"Lukas?" Donovan asks out loud, as Lukas nods back to the two men, somewhat surprised to see them both.

"I'm glad that you were able to sneak away and join us for lunch," Jeff tells Meggan, as she sits next to him at the table, that also has Robbie, Victoria and Paige sitting at it. Jeff decided that it would be nice for everyone to have a lunch together, especially to help Paige accept the idea of the wedding that will be happening in a couple of days.

"Yea, me too," Meggan smiles to her fiancé. "I left Trenyce and Chris, they seemed like they were in for a surprise."

"What kind of surprise?" Victoria asks her, as she takes a bit of her tuna.

"Andrew has been working here," Meggan reveals to everyone. "He was finished with boarding school and he came here. Trenyce and Chris looked pretty surprised."

"I bet," Robbie replies to them. "It's always nice to be reunited with someone from the past, especially someone you loved."

Victoria turns and smiles to him, knowing that they just reunited. "Well, I think it's lovely. This entire place is wonderful, Meggan," she continues to say. "You and your family are very lucky to have a place like this as your home."

"Thank you," Meggan says back to her, as something catches her eye. She looks up at the entry way and thinks she sees someone standing there. She looks again, but there is nothing there. She wonders why she keeps seeing this figure; this woman dressed in all black. She has seen the same figure in the window of the turret, that is the top of the west wing, that is supposed to be getting renovated right now.

"Is something wrong?" Paige asks Meggan, noticing that she looks a little pale.

"Yea, hun, you look a little pale," Jeff tells her, picking up what Paige is saying to her.

"I'm fine," Meggan shakes her head to everyone. "I just thought I saw something."

Paige stands up and looks at the doorway. "You mean at the door way?" Paige asks her as Meggan nods. Paige walks over to the door and looks down the hallway. She doesn't see anything until she looks at the large staircase, which leads to the west wing of the mansion. She thinks she sees a dark figure, dressed in all black. She looks closer, but the figure disappears quickly.

"Did you see anything?" Jeff asks her.

Paige lies to everyone. "No," she replies. "What's in the west wing? Why can't anyone go there?"

Meggan shrugs her shoulders. "Dad said that it's being renovated," she explains to her. "I haven't been up there in ages, I couldn't even tell you what's up there anymore."

"Well, it seems like a cool place to investigate," Paige says with a smirk. "But don't worry, I know I can't go up there. I don't want to cause any problems. I've been in enough trouble this year."

"I'm happy to hear that," Robbie replies to her, recalling the trial earlier in the year. "I think we've all had our share of excitement this year to last a life time."

"How about a toast," Victoria suggests to everyone, wanting to change the subject. "To Jeff and Meggan and living happily ever after."

Paige subtly rolls her eyes as everyone cheers, not wanting the wedding to happen. She would much rather focus on what she saw in that dark figure and what is in the west wing.

"Andrew, I can't believe it's really you," Trenyce tells him as she comes up to the young man. "You've grown up so much."

Andrew barely acknowledges her. "Frederick, I finished with my work for the day. I was thinking of heading into town for a bit, if that's okay."

"Of course it is," Frederick replies to him. "But, are you sure you don't want to stay here and catch up with Trenyce and Chris?"

"I'd love how to hear how boarding school was," Trenyce tells him as she puts her hand on his shoulder.

"It does seem like we have a lot of catching up to do," Chris echoes Trenyce's comments to Andrew. "You've grown up to me a fine young man."

Andrew recoils at Trenyce's touch. He snarls at them both. "You two are the reason my mother is dead," he spits at them, his voice full of anger. "I grew up without her because of you, and you want to socialize like nothing happened? Nah, I'm good, I'm going to head into the town."

"Andrew wait," Trenyce calls out as Andrew turns to leave.

"I'm sorry," Frederick tells them, secretly thrilled by Andrew's reaction. "I thought I was doing something good for you."

"I bet you did," Chris grits his teeth, thinking Frederick is up to something.

"Let me talk to him, okay?" the doctor replies to them, before he leaves the terrace, racing inside to see Andrew.

"He hates us," Trenyce tells Chris as she gets tears in her eyes thinking about Andrew and how he has changed.

Chris pulls her into a hug. "He's just surprised to see us, it's been so long."

"I hope you're right," she replies to him quickly. "It just feels like nothing is going our way right now."

Frederick looks at Andrew as they stand in the hallway. "You did good out there."

"I didn't do anything," Andrew replies to him. "I was just honest. You're my family now, Frederick, not them."

"I'm so glad to hear you say that," Frederick nods back to him. "How is everything with my surprise for Felicia?"

Andrew gulps, worried about his reaction. "Actually, it was gone when I was west wing earlier."

"What do you mean, gone?"

"I mean, the west wing was empty," Andrew continues to feel nervous.

"We have to find the surprise," Frederick tells him. "It's too soon for anyone to know what it is. "Way too soon, it could ruin everything."
