Previously on One Day at a Time
- At Eva and Dominick's wedding reception, the truth about Frederick brainwashing Felicia into believing she didn't love Dominick was revealed. Felicia told Frederick she never wanted to see him again. Frederick tried to blackmail Eva into helping him get Felicia back, but she refused. Dominick, meanwhile, told Eva that he loves her and is glad they are married
- Frederick convinced Meggan, by offering his winery in Santa Barbara as a wedding venue for her and Jeff, to send Chris and Trenyce on a wild goose chase instead of actually finding their biological child
- Daisy asked Frederick about his past with Jemma. To cover, he suggested that Daisy and Vinny use his winery in Santa Barbara as a venue for their wedding as well. To his and Jemma's surprise, the couple accepted, after Jemma told him it was a bad idea

Scene One - Tyler's Townhouse; Tyler & Felicia's Home

"Are you still feeling down?" Tyler asks his Mom as he sees her looking out the window holding a cup of tea. He knows that she has been upset since the truth has come out that Frederick was brainwashing her into believing that she didn't love Dominick anymore. He can understand why she feels down about this because she trusted Frederick, as both a friend and a doctor, and they were growing closer. He's just grateful that Trenyce was able to figure out the truth because now Frederick can't hurt his mother anymore.

Felicia turns her head and looks back at her son and tries to put a smile on her face. "I'm sorry if I am being a downer, dear."

"Never apologize Mom," Tyler replies to her as he moves closer to her. "I'm just worried about you, that's all."

"That's very sweet of you," she says back to him as she stands up from the window seat. "I'm still just trying to wrap my head around everything that has happened, you know? I can't believe that Frederick, my doctor, my friend, my confidant, was brainwashing me. And for what? Because he claims to love me? It's the most insane thing I've ever heard of!"

"I know," Tyler tells her. "I can't believe he would do that to you either. But the truth is out now, we know the kind of man Frederick really is. And, he will never hurt you again. I won't let him."

"Look at you," she smiles back to him. "My protector. You're so sweet."

"I won't let anyone hurt this family," he informs her.

"Now you sound like your father," she smirks before she pauses and takes a sip of her tea, as the wheels in her head start turning.

"Something is clearly on your mind," Tyler observes back to her. "What are you thinking about?"

She sighs and looks back at him. "Honestly?" she asks him as he nods. "I guess I'm just wondering how I actually feel about your father. I mean, I loved him for years and then I told him I didn't love him, but we know that it is because of Frederick. I guess I just wonder how I actually feel for him."

"Do you think you still love him?" Tyler asks her.

"I don't know," she admits to him. "Every time I look in my heart, I get conflicted because of the brainwashing. I just wish.."

"What do you wish, Mom?"

"That I could get back my feelings, my real feelings," she tells him. "Before the brainwashing. I want to know how I feel about Dominick again."

Scene Two - Dominick's Townhouse; Dominick & Eva's Home

"We need to pick up some more of the dark roast coffee beans from the Sugarbowl," Eva tells Dominick as she moves into the living room, holding a glass of wine. "You know the ones I'm talking about?"

Dominick looks up from the papers that he has in his hands that is reviewing for Robertson Enterprises and nods back to her. "I know exactly which ones you mean," he replies to her quickly. "I can grab some, if you'd like."

"Would you? That would be lovely, thank you," she tells him. "What are you working on?"

"Ah, this, my beauty, is the next big thing that Robertson Enterprises is going to be launching," he tells her with a sly grin on his face. "And, the best part, is that we are going to beat Roboto at their own game."

Eva shakes her head with a grin on her face. "I don't know what that means, but as long as you're happy, that's all that matters to me."

She turns around and takes a deep breath, wondering how long this marital bliss will last if Frederick follows through with his threats to tell Dominick the truth about Eva knowing about the brainwashing of Felicia. She knows that she kept it a secret because she wanted this: to be happily married to Dominick; if the truth comes out, she has no doubt in her mind that Dominick would be absolutely livid with her.

"Did you hear a word I just said?" Dominick asks his wife as he stands up and moves up behind her, since he could tell that she was daydreaming.

"No, I'm sorry, I must have been lost in my thoughts," Eva replies to him as she turns around to face him. "What were you saying?"

"What is it, Eva?" he asks her, seeing that she is upset about something. "I can tell that something is bothering you."

Eva fakes a smile on her face. "Me? No, I'm fine, I'm just thinking about Donovan and something he said to me the other day. It's nothing, promise," she lies to him, knowing that she can't tell him the truth.

"Okay, only if you're sure," he says as he pulls her into a hug.

"I'm sure," she replies to him as they exit their embrace. Suddenly, she realizes that she should try to help Frederick with his plan to get Felicia to forgive him. If she helps Frederick, he won't tell Dominick the truth; she has to ensure her marriage stays intact. "Are you going to the Sugarbowl?" she asks him as he nods. "Okay, I'll meet you back here later, okay? I have something I have to do too."

Dominick arches his eyebrow as she puts her wine glass down and she grabs her purse and heads for the door. "Okay," he says. "See you later then."

Scene Three - MW Investigations

"I'm not sure I really understand," Trenyce admits to Meggan as she and Chris sit in her office and Meggan just finished revealing to them that the lead on their biological child in Boston fell through. Trenyce didn't want to get her hopes up because she thought that it would be a long shot but the fact that the lead has already fell through makes her feel hopeless. "How did the lead in Boston fall out already?"

Meggan arches her eyebrow back to Trenyce, knowing very well that she had to stop digging for Trenyce and Chris' child because she is helping Frederick with his plan to get back at Chris and Trenyce for their plan against Savannah Pherson a few years ago, and the fact that Chris is still threatening Frederick. At first she didn't want to go along with the plan, but after Frederick pressed her to help the family and offered their family winery in Santa Barbara as a venue for her wedding to Jeff, she reconsidered. Now, she just has to sell this change to Chris and Trenyce.

"Well," she begins to tell them. "Like I mentioned to you, I had one of my associates go to Boston and do some more digging. The child that was in question, was actually not purchased on the black market. We have proof of that, so that couldn't have been your child."

Trenyce uneasily nods back to her before she looks over at Chris. "So, where do we go from here?" he asks Meggan.

"I actually got another lead," Meggan reveals to them. "There was a child that was, definitely, purchased on the black market around the same time that Andrew was born. This could be your daughter, but we have to proceed with caution. I don't want you to get your hopes again."

"Where is this child?" Trenyce asks her.

"She's in Houston," Meggan reveals to them. "She's living with her parents and she seems to be living a pretty good life. Of course, there's no guarantee that this is your child."

Trenyce looks back at Chris and can feel her heart flutter. Could this be, finally, the time that they find their daughter. "I want to go to Houston," Trenyce blurts out without really thinking about anything.

"I don't know if that's wise," Meggan quickly replies to her. "It could be dangerous. If this is your child, you have to remember that her parents got her illegally. It might get complicated."

"I don't care," Trenyce shakes her head. "I want to be there. I want to see this girl, I will know my child if I just see her."

Chris looks back at her. "I'll go with you," he says, as Trenyce looks into his eyes. "We can find her together."

Trenyce nods and smiles back to him. "Thank you," she says. "Meggan, we'll keep you posted on what happens."

Meggan smiles to her and nods, knowing that it worked: the child in Houston is not Trenyce and Chris' daughter, but they don't know that. In fact, she can tell that they are hoping that it is their daughter.

"Yea, please do," she finally says back to them. "And, I'll keep looking on my end."

Scene Four - The Sugarbowl

Frederick sits in the back booth with a coffee as he looks at his phone. He's reading mindless news stories, but he really isn't paying attention to what he is reading. He is desperate to think of a way to get Felicia to forgive him for brainwashing her into believing she doesn't love Dominick. He knows that he will do anything to get the woman that he loves back into his good graces.

"I think I know what I'm going to do," he whispers to himself as he starts to dial a number on his phone. He listens for the caller to pick up. "It's me," he says in a hushed voice. "I know it's been awhile, but how are things there?" he listens to the other person finish speaking. "Well, that's some progress right? This just has to work, Felicia will be so thrilled with this surprise," Frederick continues to say. "This could be the thing that makes her forgive me and come back to me. I'll be in touch, okay?"

He hangs up the phone and gets a weird grin on his on face. He hopes that this surprise he is planning will actually work and will make Felicia forgive him. He doesn't know what else he can do. He just wishes it would happen sooner rather than later.

"I should go tell Felicia that I have a surprise for her," he says to himself as he stands up, preparing to leave. He moves closer to the front door when Dominick comes into the coffeehouse. Frederick rolls his eyes, not wanting to Dominick because he knows that Dominick will still not be pleased with everything that went down.

"I must say I'm a bit surprised," Dominick announces to Frederick, unable to stay away from the doctor.

Frederick arches his eyebrow. "Are you going to finish your thought? Why are you surprised?"

"I just figured that after everything was revealed you would have left town," Dominick replies to him. "No one wants you here, so what's keeping you here."

Frederick smirks back to him. "My practice is here," he tells Dominick. "My daughter is here. My son will probably come back one day. Like it or not, Dominick, but my life is in Twin Peaks."

"Your life, that's priceless," Dominick says back to him as he glares at the doctor. "Because let me tell you something, you won't have much of a life left if you ever hurt Felicia again. You stay away from her, do you understand me?"

"Yea, yea, yea," Frederick replies to him sarcastically. "You and everyone else keep threatening me. You can cut the macho act any time, okay? Now if you'll excuse me, I'm a busy man."

Dominick grits his teeth as he watches Frederick leave the coffeehouse. He knows that he will do whatever it takes to ensure Frederick never hurts Felicia, or any member of his family, ever again.

Scene Five - Tyler's Townhouse

"Eva, this is a surprise," Felicia says as she opens the door and sees Dominick's wife standing there. "Please come in."

Eva uneasily smiles back to her and moves into the living room, hoping that she can convince Felicia to find it in her heart to forgive Frederick. "If you're looking for Tyler, I'm afraid you just missed him. He went into Robertson Enterprises."

"No, I'm actually looking for you," Eva replies to her. "I wanted to see how you're doing."

"That's sweet of you," Felicia says back to Eva. "I guess, I'm the same as the last time we saw one another. Still in shock about everything that happened and confused about the feelings I have; which are real and which are a result of the brainwashing."

Eva shakes her head. "I still can't believe it myself," she admits to Felicia.

"I know, I trusted Frederick. I can't believe he would do this to me."

"Well," Eva begins to reply to her. "For what it's worth, I do think he meant no harm. I can tell by the way he looks at you that he does have feelings for you."

"What are you trying to say?" Felicia asks in surprise.

"I'm just saying," Eva says trying to stay strong. She knows that she has to tread this lightly because she can't make it seem like she is on Frederick's side completely. "I think what he did, he did out of some kind of goodness."

"I can't believe you're defending him!" Felicia snaps back at her, shocked that Eva is suggesting that Frederick was somehow justified in brainwashing her.

"No, I'm not defending him," Eva quickly replies to her. "I'm just saying that maybe one day, there can be forgiveness in all of this."

"Never," Felicia immediately says back to her. "I will never forgive Frederick. He crossed the line and we can never go back from that."

Scene Six - The Victors Mansion; Vinny, Daisy & Jemma's Home

"I'm glad that we could all get together to plan this double wedding," Daisy says to Jeff and Meggan as they sit in the living room of the mansion. Vinny comes in with some wine glasses and some sparkling water for Meggan.

"I must admit it," Meggan begins to tell everyone. "I was rather surprised when my father told me that you guys agreed to use the winery as a venue. I mean, I think it's great, but after everything that I did when I first came back to town, I didn't think you guys would want to get married with us, yet alone a double wedding."

Vinny chuckles as he passes out some beverages to everyone. "That's water under the bridge," he tells her. "The fact is, Daisy and I have been planning a wedding for so long, it was a welcomed offer to have the venue somewhere as beautiful as Santa Barbara."

"And," Daisy continues. "We thought this would be a really good way to make a peace offering between our two families. You know, weddings have a way of bringing everyone together."

"That they do," Jeff agrees with her. "Anyways, I think it's a great idea and I think we should have a toast."

"To two amazing weddings for two amazing couples," Vinny says to everyone as they cheers each other. "Now, let's get down to some fun details!"

***

Upstairs, Jemma paces in her bedroom as she tries to keep her heart rate down. She knows what is happening downstairs right now; Vinny and Daisy are planning their double wedding at the winery in Santa Barbara. She told Frederick that offering his estate as a venue would be a bad idea, but he didn't listen to her. He thought that it would be a good idea to make it seem like they don't have a past together.

"Only now," she whispers to herself. "I have to go back to that damn place. I don' know how I'm goin' to do this."

She thinks about the last time she was at the winery; she shuts her eyes and quickly opens them, feeling some beads of sweat form on her forehead. "How the hell am I goin' to stay calm and cool? There's no way I can do this on my own!"

***

Downstairs, the wedding planning is in full swing, when the front door bell rings. Daisy stands up and moves to the door. "Paige, what a surprise," she says seeing the young girl on the other side of the door. "Please come in. Your Dad is just in the other room. We are planning our double wedding, that sounds exciting, doesn't it?"

"Yea, thrilling," Paige practically rolls her eyes back at Daisy. "I'm sorry to interrupt, but I had to come and see my Dad."

"Paige, is everything okay?" Jeff asks his daughter as he comes into the foyer, with Meggan closely following him behind.

"No, it's not okay," Paige reveals to Jeff. "You're marrying this woman! And, I hate it! I absolutely hate it!"

Scene Seven - Tyler's Townhouse; Tyler & Felicia's Home

"Felicia, are you in there?" Frederick yells as he knocks on the front door, hoping that Felicia will finally hear him out.

Felicia moves up to the door and covers her mouth, upset that Frederick is once again not listening to her and showing up at her house. She has told him, numerous times now, that she doesn't want to see him again; not after everything that he has put her through.

She opens the door a little and looks out at her former doctor. "I told you not to come back here," she says to him, still with the door mostly closed.

"I know," Frederick replies, relieved that the she opened the door. "I just had to see you. I've been working on this surprise for you, I'm hoping that it will make you forgive me for what I've done. I know I can't go back and change things, but I can make the future better, right?"

"I don't want any surprise you may have for me," Felicia sternly replies to him. "All I want is for you to leave me alone. Now go!" she says to him before she closes the door and locks it again.

Outside the door, Frederick runs his hands through his hair. "When you see my surprise, Felicia," he yells through the door. "You'll be thanking me. You'll see!"
