Scene One - The Glubbs House; Shane & Natasha's Home

Shane pours himself a rum and coke and takes a drink of it as he looks into the flames of the roaring fire in the fireplace. He has decided not to go out this New Year's Eve; after everything that has happened this past year, he feels like he just wants to have a quiet night in. He wonders how Natasha has been dealing with the fact that he has sent her divorce papers, on Christmas no less. He then recalls how Paige stopped by on Christmas Day and told him that Natasha seemed upset that she got the papers that day. In his mind, it's the least he could do since she tore his heart out by having an affair in the first place.

He takes another sip of his drink as he thinks more about Christmas Day and how Paige kissed him before she left. He knows that she's a sweet kid but he can't allow her to do that again. He can't be stealing kisses with a girl her age.

"I hope she's okay with that when I tell her," he whispers as he hears the doorbell ring. "I wonder who that could be."

He walks over to the door and opens it. "Well, I was just thinking about you," he announces to Paige, who comes into the foyer of the house.

"You were? Good thoughts, I hope," she smiles as she turns around to him.

"Of course," he replies to her quickly. "I am glad you're here though. I think need to talk."

"Sounds serious, I hope I'm not in trouble."

"No, you're not in trouble," he tells her as he moves her into the living room. "I just think we should talk about what happened on Christmas morning."

Paige licks her lips a little as she looks back at the man that she has a crush on. "I know what you're going to say…"

"No, you don't," he replies to her quickly. "I'm very flattered but I don't think we should be kissing one another."

"So you didn't like it?" she pouts her lips together.

He grins back at her. "It's not that, it's more of the…"

Before he can finish his sentence, she leans and kisses him again. "Happy New Year, Shane," she tells him as their lips part. "And don't scold me, people are supposed to kiss on New Year's Eve."

He smiles back to her. "Happy New Year," he replies to her. "And you're right, they do. But that has to be our last one. I mean it, Paige."

She uneasily nods back to him. "Fine, I won't kiss you again."

Scene Two - The Calimo Mansion; The Guesthouse

"So, they know you are staying here and they are okay with it?" Max asks Dawn as he lays on the large sofa with a can of Pepsi next to him on the coffee table. "This place is pretty sweet."

Dawn smiles back to her friend as she takes a toke of the joint in her hand. She blows out the smoke before answering. "Yea, Paige's Grandpa is cool with it. I can't go home, they seem to understand why."

"Pass me the weed," Max says as he sits him and accepts the joint from Dawn. He inhales a big puff. "Do you think we are lame spending New Years Eve here?"

"As opposed to what?" she asks him as she sinks down into the arm chair. "We aren't old enough to drink so there's no point going to the Pampa Grill party. And there's no way in hell I'd want to be with my parents."

"Noted and very fair," Max replies to her.

"What about you?" she asks him back. "Do you wish you were somewhere else?"

"Nah," he quickly tells her. "My Mom is actually working so I would be alone if I wasn't with you."

"Then, let's continue to be together and get stoned. That's the best possible way to cap off this year," she chuckles as he passes her the joint back and she inhales more of it.

"I hope you're not upset, darling, that we didn't go to the Pampa Grill this evening," Bob tells Kim as they sit beside each other in the living room of the Calimo mansion. "I wasn't feeling up to being around a lot of people this evening."

Kim smiles back to him as she recalls getting a text message from Tyler letting her know he was going to the Pampa Grill's party this evening. She knows that he wanted her to go but she has to continue to be Bob's wife until he is better. She doesn't want to do anything that will risk his recovery from the stroke; it could delay her and Tyler being together even longer.

"I'm not upset in the least," she replies to him as she picks up a glass of champagne. "Your health is the most important thing to me, you should know that."

"I do know that," he replies to her as he grabs her hand. "I can't tell you how much your support has meant to me since I've had my stroke."

"I wouldn't be anywhere else, Bob," she smiles back to him. "You have to know that your health is the most important thing in the world to me."

"You've proven that Kimberly," he says back to her. "I hope you know how much I love you."

Before she can reply, she feels his lips press against hers. "Happy New Year my love," he whispers as their lips part.

"Happy New Year, Bob."

Scene Three - The Pampa Grill

"Why do you look like you were just hit by a truck?" Trenyce asks Tyler as she comes up to him at the party that is happening at the restaurant for New Year's Eve. Trenyce is holding a glass of champagne as she looks at her former lover, who isn't looking so great in her mind.

Tyler takes a sip of his champagne and looks back at Trenyce. "Kim isn't coming tonight," he says through gritted teeth. He knows that Kim turned down his marriage proposal but he was still hoping that they would be able to have a relationship together. This doesn't seem to be happening now because Kim refuses to leave Bob's side.

"Is she still playing wife to Bob Calimo?" she asks him with a sly grin.

"Unfortunately," he mumbles back to himself. "I just don't know how much more of this I can take."

She leans in and grabs his hand. "I'm so sorry, I wish there was something I could help you with."

His eyes lock with hers and he smiles at her. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" he asks her as she bites her lip.

"We could start this new year off with a real bang," she smirks back to him.

He leans down and kisses her hard. "Let's go to my place," she tells him as she grabs his hand they start to walk out of the party. Chris happens to see the two walk out together and he sighs heavily. He isn't sure why he is impacted when he sees Trenyce with another man but it is starting to bother him.

"I'm surprised to see you here this evening," Helen announces to Natasha as the legal eagle grabs another glass of champagne.

Natasha turns around to see her former good friend. "It's New Year's Eve Helen," Natasha tells her as she takes a sip of her champagne. "I don't want to fight with you."

Helen rolls her eyes a little bit. "I don't see Shane here with you."

"Because he's not," Natasha snaps back at her. "Not that it's any of your business, but Shane has filed for divorce."

"Has he now?" Helen replies to her quickly. "I can't say that I'm surprised."

"Well, then, why are you even here?" Natasha asks her back. "I get it, you hate me for sleeping with Adam. I happen to hate myself for everything that has happened as well."

"I think you're getting exactly what you deserve, if I am honest with you," Helen informs her. "You have caused so much pain."

"Save it, Helen," Natasha cuts her off. "I'm trying to enjoy the rest of my New Year's Eve and I suggest you to do the same."

"I'm glad I was able to run into you tonight," Andy tells Lukas as they stand in the corner of the busy party. Andy looks at the man he saw months ago at Bar Code and made a pass at him. Of course, Andy knows that it was the alcohol talking; he's in no position to be making a play for any man at this stage of his life.

"I must admit, I was surprised when you asked to speak to me," Lukas replies to him as he takes a sip of his champagne.

"I bet," Andy says back to him. "I just wanted to apologize to you for that night at Bar Code a few months ago. I was drinking heavily and I'm sure I made an ass of myself."

"I appreciate that Andy," Lukas tells him. "But honestly, I barely even remember that night. There's no need to apologize. And, by the looks of it, it seems like you are doing better."

Andy nods back to him. "I'm not drinking anymore," Andy informs him.

"I can't imagine what losing a spouse would do to someone," Lukas sympathizes with him.

"If I've learned anything, it's to embrace every day and not to waste a second doing what it is you want to do."

"That's good advice," Lukas says back to him as he thinks of the choice he has to make between Craig and Donovan. "Thanks for this chat, Andy. I've really enjoyed it."

"Anytime, Lukas," Andy smiles to his new friend.

"How's your night going?" Donovan asks Craig as he approaches the doctor holding a glass of champagne.

Craig turns around and smiles to Donovan. "It's alright. It could be a lot better though, I'd say."

Donovan smirks back to him. "I'm guessing you haven't heard from Lukas regarding this decision that he has to make?"

"Nope, have you?" Craig asks him back.

Donovan shakes his head. "But seriously, I didn't even know he was making this decision until the other day when you told me."

"What are we doing, Donovan?" Craig asks him.

"What do you mean?"

"Why are we waiting for Lukas to make up his mind?" Craig asks him another question. Behind Craig, Lukas emerges and listens to the two men talking about their situation. "You and I, we are good looking men and we had an attraction not so long ago."

"What are you saying?" Donovan asks him.

Craig leans forward and kisses Donovan on the lips. "I'm saying, let's not wait anymore."

"I'll have another glass of that fine champagne," Jemma tells the waiter before he passes her a glass. She turns around and is startled to see Frederick approaching her. She arches her eyebrow at the doctor as they had come to an understanding regarding their interactions because she knows that no one can know their past secret. However, the longer she has the secret, the more she is feeling like she may not be able to keep her cool.

"Lovely party, isn't it?" Frederick asks her as he arrives and orders a glass of champagne.

"What are you doin' here?" she asks him quickly.

"Half the town is here Jemma, you have to calm down."

"Don't you dare tell me how to feel!" she scolds him in a harsh whisper. "I told you it was gettin' harder for me to keep this secret. Seein' you all over the God damned place isn't helpin' me at all!"

"You have to keep it together," Frederick informs her as he looks deep into her eyes. "If anyone finds out, you know what it would mean."

Across the room, Daisy drinks her champagne as she spots Frederick and Jemma in their heated discussion. She quickly recalls how Jemma told her that she doesn't trust Frederick. "If you don't like the man, why are you talking to him now?" Daisy asks herself as she quickly wonders if her Aunt's fainting spell at Thanksgiving was more serious that Frederick and Jemma let on.

"I need to get some answers," she tells herself as she wonders how she can possibly get the truth out of Jemma and Frederick.

"Are you sure you're up to being out and about?" Robin asks Cory as they move around the party room together.

Cory looks back at his wife and nods his head. "I know that I was just shot but I'm feeling fine. I promise you."

"Good, I just wanted to make sure," she replies to him as she purses her lips together. "I'm having a really good time."

"Me too," he smiles back to her. "The count down is about to begin!"

The couple ring in the New Year together and seal it with a kiss.

"Happy New Year, Cory."

"Happy New Year my love," Cory says back to her.

Before she can say anything else, Melissa approaches the married couple. She looks at Cory with a hatred in her eyes. "Mother, what are you doing here?" she asks Melissa.

"I have news for you and it couldn't wait," Melissa tells her daughter, as she gives Cory the cold shoulder.

"It's New Year's Eve," Cory begins to protest.

"This can't wait," Melissa puts her hand up and into Cory's face. "You have a right to know what your husband was up to while you were in the hospital."

"What are you talking about?" Robin asks Melissa as Cory's face goes pale.

"Your sister Rebecca," Melissa begins to tell Robin. "She's pregnant. And Cory is the father."
