Scene One - Twin Peaks General Hospital

"So, Dad is in with Grandpa right now?" a distraught looking Dawn asks Helen and Barbara as they wait outside Reg's hospital room. Dawn just finished one of her candy striper shifts and was upset to learn that her Grandfather has had another stroke. She can see how exhausted Barbara and Helen are as well but, what's more curious to her is that Reg is asking to see Adam; she knows, just like the two women, that Reg and Adam never saw eye to eye. She wonders why Reg would want to see Adam as opposed to Barbara. "Why would Grandpa want to see Dad of all people?"

Barbara looks over at her daughter, clutching her cross necklace in her hand as her eyes are damp from tears. She has a sinking feeling that Reg wanted to make peace with Adam before he asses away. She can't bear to say those words out loud because the thought of losing her husband scares her to the very core. "He probably wants to set things right," she whispers to Dawn. "Everyone wants to make sure things are perfect in these types of circumstances."

"But, he's going to be okay, isn't he?" Dawn asks biting her lower lip. She just got her Grandfather back, the last thing she wants is to lose him now, especially with everything else going on in her life.

"We are praying for that," Barbara tells her. "I'd like it if you prayed for him as well."

Dawn nods back to her. "Of course, I will."

"Dawn, baby," Helen says to her daughter coming up to her. "Why don't you go home and get some rest. You've had a long shift here already. I will call you if there's any change with your Grandfather." In her mind, Helen doesn't want her daughter around in case Reg passes away. She wants to spare her daughter from seeing anything that she shouldn't see at her age.

"I don't think I should go," Dawn replies quickly to her, her lower lip quivering.

"Your Mother is right," Barbara tells Dawn. "Go get some rest. Everything will be fine, just remember to pray for your Grandfather. There's nothing you can do here, anyways."

Dawn looks at back at both women and knows that she's in a losing battle with them. Plus, she knows that she is tired from her long shift at the hospital. "Please call me as soon as there's any change," Dawn says back to Helen as she pulls her mother into a hug. "I'm here if you need anything."

"I know baby girl, thank you," Helen says trying to fight any tears that she has in her eyes.

They exit their embrace and Helen watches Dawn leave the hospital. As soon as Dawn steps on to the elevator, she looks back at Barbara. "I hope I just did the right thing," she says to her Mother.

"You did Helen," Barbara nods her head, still clutching her cross. "This is not the place for a girl her age. We all just need to focus and pray right now."

Helen grabs her mother's free hand. "I know Mom. That's what I'm doing. Let's pray together?"

"I'd like that very much," Barbara manages a smile.

Inside Reg's hospital room, Adam looks at the man laying in the hospital bed. Reg looks tired and weak from his second stroke. He has a large ventilator next to him which is helping him breathe. Adam wonders how it all got to this point; it seems like just a few short months ago Helen discovered her parents were alive and now, Reg is on his death bed and he and Reg never found away to get along. He knows that is something Helen would love to have happen; Adam is determined to make sure that it happens before Reg passes away.

"I heard that you called for me," Adam tells Reg as he slowly approaches the bed, hoping Reg is able to communicate with him.

Reg's eyes move around the room a little until Adam comes close enough to the bed that Reg can spot him. He nods his head and looks at Adam. "I…think…we…need…to…get…some…things…straight," Reg slowly says, taking deep breaths in between each word. "We…can't…leave…it…like…this."

Adam looks down at his father in law and sees a man that is laying everything on the table. He can tell that Reg probably doesn't that much time left. "I tend to agree. I want Helen to be at peace with everything."

"Helen…is…a…wonderful…woman," Reg tells him, still speaking extremely slowly. "I'm…so…happy…I got…to see…her…again."

"She feels the same way about you," Adam continues to tell him. "This dislike we have for each other, it doesn't seem like it matters now Reg. What matters is that my wife, your daughter, loves you very much. And, she wants us to be at peace with each other."

Reg glares back at him with intent. "That's…just…it…Adam," Reg slowly replies to Adam. "I…think you're … a worthless….man. You… don't…deserve….my daughter…"

Adam is floored by what Reg just told him. He shakes his head and is about to turn around and leave when Reg says something else to him.

"Don't leave…when…I'm not…finished…talking…to you," Reg says in as much of a raised voice as he possibly can have. "You're…not the…man for….Helen! You … hear…me! You are ….worthless!"

Adam turns around and is about to reply to Reg when he sees Reg start choking a little bit. He moves closer to him as Reg's face turns bright red. "Reg? Reg, are you okay?" Adam asks flustered. Suddenly, Reg's heart monitor starts beeping quickly. "Reg? I need help in here!" Adam turns his head to the door and yells loudly. Helen and Barbara rush in and see Reg in bed with Adam hovering over him.

"We need help!" Helen cries as a Shane rushes into the room and starts to tend to Reg.

"I need you all to leave the room now!" Shane yells at them before she looks over at the nurse. "He's flat lining!"

Scene Two - The Sugarbowl

"You haven't really told me much about this ex of yours," Victoria smiles to her brother as they sit across from each other in the back booth, each with a hot chocolate. Victoria knows that her brother is still hung up on this ex he had in Europe but she wishes that he would reveal more information to her so she can be more useful to him in terms of advice giving. Plus, she really wants to see her brother happy in a relationship.

Donovan takes a drink of his hot chocolate and smiles back to his sister. "Maybe because there's not much to tell," he winks back at her, knowing that it's not really the case. He still can't believe that Lukas is actually in town and dating Craig.

"Oh come on Donovan," Victoria laughs a little back to him. "I've told you almost every detail about Robbie and I. Why can't you do the same with me?"

"I'm guessing there's still no good news on that front?" Donovan slyly changes the subject with his sister. He knows that she has called off her engagement to Robbie because of how he is behaving since Leah's death.

Victoria shakes her head and quickly moves a piece of her hair behind her ear. "No, there's nothing new to report. Robbie is still acting like a jackass and I can't be a part of that. I mean, I still love him but he's become someone that I barely recognize. I don't know that things will ever be the same with us until he changes his attitude."

"I get that," Donovan says back to her, wishing that things would be different for her.

"Now, you were about to tell me about this ex of yours," Victoria winks back to him.

Donovan sighs. "You won't actually believe this," Donovan finally opens up to her. "He's here in Twin Peaks."

"What?" Victoria asks in surprise. "That's amazing! How did this happen?"

Donovan shrugs. "He has family here. But it gets better, he's dating someone."

"Who?"

"Craig Benton," Donovan reveals to his sister, who looks back in shock. "Yea, the guy that was pursuing me for months is now dating the love of my life. Ironic, huh?"

"Oh Donovan," Victoria replies to her. "I'm sorry. That can't be easy for you to deal with at all. Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," he lies to her. "I was over Lukas along time ago and I was never really invested in Craig. I mean, it's weird and all, but I'm fine."

"I can tell that you're lying," Victoria replies to him quickly. "But I won't pry. Just know that I'm always here if you want to talk or vent to me about this, okay?"

"I will sis, thanks," Donovan tries to smile back to her, knowing that the situation is awkward at best.

"Is this seat taken or are you worried that someone may see us together?" Meggan asks Jeff as she approaches him as he sits at the window bar seat. She can't help but think about the other evening at the house when she brought Jeff a night cap and he told her that them making love on New Year's Eve was a mistake. Meggan had really believed that she and Jeff could be on the path to something special but because of how Paige is lashing out at Jeff, he is putting a stop to their relationship.

Jeff looks over at Meggan and suddenly feels bad for how he has treated her. "You can join me," he says to her. "I probably owe you an apology for how I behaved the other night."

Meggan sits next to him and takes a sip of her decaf coffee. "You don't owe me any explanations."

"I don't want you to think that I used you on New Year's Eve," he replies to her quickly. "What happened was wonderful. I did have a great time."

"Why do I get the feeling there's a but coming here…" she says back to him with half a grin on her face.

"But," he smiles back to her. "After listening to what Paige was telling me, I just don't think that she's in the right frame of mind to have to deal with me having a new relationship right now."

Meggan puts her head down and realizes that she's already let the cat out of the bag with her and Jeff as she admitted to Robbie that they had become lovers and Paige over heard.

"What's on your mind? I can tell that you're thinking about something," Jeff says back to her. "Meggan, what's going on?"

Meggan looks back to him and knows that he won't be happy with what she has to tell him. "I had breakfast at the Pampa Grill today."

Jeff shrugs his shoulders. "Is that supposed to mean something to me?"

"Robbie was there with Paige," Meggan reveals to him. "He came over and spoke to me."

"I can't imagine what Robbie would want to say to you," Jeff replies to her, growing fed up with Robbie's interference.

"He wanted to know what our relationship was," Meggan slowly informs him, still apprehensive about his reaction.

"What did you tell him, exactly?" Jeff asks growing more concerned.

"I'm so sorry," she says biting her lower lip. "I might have confirmed that we made love."

"Oh God."

"And … Paige overheard everything," Meggan continues to tell him, horrified by what went down.

Jeff's eyes open wider in shock. He stands up and grabs his things. "Where are you going?"

He stops when he's at the door and looks back at her. "I have to find Paige. I have to make her understand."

Scene Three - The Pampa Grill

"I must admit, I was very surprised to get a call from you asking me to meet you for dinner," Dominick smiles over to Paige as they sit in one of the back tables that Paige requested to have.

Paige looks back at her Grandfather and feels somewhat comforted by his presence. She has been feeling so utterly lost the since Leah's death and things continue to seem to spiral out of control. Hearing that Jeff is now sleeping with Meggan, the woman that killed her brother Noah, is more than she can handle; it was bad enough when he was just living with her.

"I really needed to see you," Paige admits to him as she looks at him. "I guess I'm just looking for some kind of stability."

Dominick arches his eyebrow. "Aren't you finding it stable at home?"

"How can I?" she asks him. "Robbie threw Jeff out of the house, Grandma still seems scattered sometimes and …"

"And what Paige?"

Paige bites her lower lip. "It's just not the same without Mom there," she admits to him as she fights some tears in her eyes. "I just feel like everything has been turned upside down since she died and I don't know how to get back to normal."

Dominick reaches the table and grabs his daughter's hand. "Things will never go back to the normal that you believe to be normal," he tells her. "What normal was is gone. It left when your Mother left us. Believe me when I tell you this Paige, I too miss her every day. I still wake up sometimes thinking it was all a dream. But this is the reality and we have to make the most of it now."

"I wish Robbie and Jeff saw things like that," she tells him. "They keep making these decisions and …"

"And that's not for you to worry about," he says back to her. "You have to focus on you Paige. You're a bright, beautiful young woman."

Paige lets a tear fall from her eye as she looks back at her Grandfather. "What's wrong? Tell me what's on your mind," he encourages her to open up to him.

Paige sighs and wipes her wet cheek. "I…I'm so incredibly lost right now. And I have no idea how to find my way back to myself."

"It's not often you want to go out for dinner," Rebecca smiles over to Cory as they sit across from each other in the busy restaurant as a slow jazz song plays in the background.

Cory looks over at his sister in law, who recently became his lover. While he can't deny that the sex with Rebecca is amazing; its happened multiple times now, he also realizes that the affair is completely wrong and he has to put an end to it at once. He knows that once Robin returns from the mental hospital, he wants his marriage to work and it can't work, it won't work, if he's sleeping with Robin's sister. In fact, Robin can never know of their affair.

"I wanted to have dinner and I thought this would be a good opportunity to talk," Cory reveals to her as he picks up his red wine and takes a sip of it.

"You want to talk, huh?" Rebecca quickly asks him back. "I'm not sure I should like the sound of this."

Cory chuckles a little back to her. "Come on Rebecca," he replies to her. "I think we both know what is going on here. We both agreed time and time again that our affair is wrong."

"But we keep ending up in each other's arms," she purses her lips back to him. "I know that it's wrong, Cory, really I do," she continues to tell him as she picks up her wine. "But like I've said, I will never tell Robin when she gets back. Until then, why not have a little fun? We both clearly need what we get from each other."

"That's not the point," Cory says back to her. "The point is, you're Robin's sister and this can't continue. We can't be lovers anymore."

Rebecca nods back to him. "You're right," she says. "I don't know what I was thinking."

"You were just following other parts of your body instead of your head. But I think this is for the best."

"You're right," she replies to him. "I know. We can't hurt Robin like this. We just can't."

"I'm glad that you see things my way," Cory smiles back to her. "I'm going to run to the restroom before dinner comes."

"Okay," she says back to him as she watches him leave the table. As soon as he's away, she pulls out her cell phone and sends a message to Melissa. "Called off the affair but don't worry, I have everything under control."

"I'm glad that we are able to have dinner together today," Craig smiles over to Lukas, as they sit a table together. Craig can't help but notice that Lukas continues to look around the restaurant to ensure that his father doesn't come in and spot them together. A part of him wishes that Lukas could just be open and honest but he doesn't want to push his lover to do anything he isn't ready to do.

"Me too," Lukas replies to him quickly. "How was your shift at the hospital?"

"Long," Craig replies as he takes a sip of his gin and tonic. "But like I said, I'm glad we get this moment together. How was your day?"

Lukas pauses for a moment before he replies to his lover as he recalls how and Donovan saw each other and they caught up a little bit. While Lukas will never admit it to Craig, he enjoys being able to see and communicate with his ex again; he had missed Donovan more than he can say.

"It was nice actually," Lukas tells him. "I was thinking of trying to find a job but I don't know what I would do."

"I suppose you should look into something that you're passionate about," Craig replies to him. "Anything else go down today?"

"I saw Donovan," Lukas blurts out quickly. "But it was brief."

Craig arches his eyebrow. "And, how did that go?"

"Fine," Lukas tells him. "He wanted to know if my father knew that I was gay yet. When I told him no, he pretty much brushed me off."

"I see," Craig says back to him. "That doesn't seem like Donovan's style."

Lukas sighs not having wanted to get into this with Craig. "The reason we broke up was because I wouldn't come out to my Dad," Lukas reveals to him. "Donovan was tired of living in the shadows."

Craig looks back at him and sees how pained Lukas is to say that to him. He picks up his gin and tonic and nods back to him. "Well, not everyone can live that like forever. I can sort of relate."

Lukas looks up and Craig with a scowl on his face. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing," Craig quickly replies, not wanting to upset his boyfriend.

"Whatever, I've suddenly lost my appetite, I'll see you later," Lukas announces to Craig as he stand up and rushes out of the restaurant, leaving Craig alone and confused at the table.

"I guess it was something I said?" Craig asks himself, wondering how he is going to deal with the moods of his lover.

Frederick and Felicia walk to their table and just miss seeing Lukas storm out of the restaurant. Frederick smiles when he sits across from Felicia, happy that he is getting to have dinner with the woman that he has fallen head over heels for. He knows that he shouldn't be in love with his patient, but he can't help the way he feels about it; in fact, he wouldn't change it for anything in the world. He only hopes that he is able to continue to help her with her memories as they slowly return from the night that Leah died.

"I'm sorry that you didn't have any more memories the other night when I took you home to lay down," Frederick tells her as they sit at their table.

Felicia smiles back to him as she opens her menu. "That's not your fault, no need to apologize," she replies to him. "Like you've been saying, these memories will come back when they are ready too on their own."

"I'm glad that you believe that," he agrees with her. "Your mind will tell you when you're strong enough to handle whatever is in your subconscious."

Felicia nods back to her. "It's funny you asked me about this," she replies to him. "Eva was just asking me about my memory earlier today."

Frederick arches his eyebrow in concern. "Why would she care about your memories?"

"I think she was just being nice," Felicia says back to him. "She was actually very sweet about the entire thing."

Something in the pit of Frederick's stomach doesn't sit well with this news. Maybe it's the fact that Eva is sleeping with Dominick, and Frederick doesn't trust him but it's bugging him that Eva was snooping around. He thinks that he will have to get to the bottom of this one way or the other.

"What are you thinking of having this evening?" he asks Felicia, changing the subject as he doesn't want to alert her that he is worried by Eva asking these questions. He will handle this himself.

Scene Four - The Sugarbowl

Robbie opens the door to the coffee house and quickly moves inside. He is working the late shift at the police station and decided to come and get some coffee to help keep himself going as it can get dull sometimes at night. He grabs his coffee and moves to the coffee bar, but his eyes are drawn to Jeff, who is back sitting at the window bar.

Robbie feels his blood boil at the sight of the man; he can't believe that Meggan confirmed to him that she and Jeff have become lovers. The thought makes Robbie sick to his stomach as he thinks that Leah hasn't been dead long enough for Jeff to move on yet; and with the woman that killed Leah's son, to top it all off.

Robbie finds himself approaching Jeff quickly. "I'm surprised you're not with your girlfriend," Robbie announces to Jeff, causing him to turn around and face Robbie.

Jeff sighs, not wanting to deal with him tonight. He had rushed out in hopes of finding Paige but he came back to the coffee house when he couldn't find his daughter. He has, instead, sent her a text message asking her to come and meet him so they could talk.

"I don't have a girlfriend," Jeff snaps back at him. "And if you don't mind, I really don't have time for this right now."

"You damn well better make time Jeff because you're going to listen to what I have to say to you," Robbie grits his teeth together as he glares at Jeff.

Scene Five - Twin Peaks General Hospital

Adam runs his hands over his face as he can't believe that Reg could be dying in the hospital room. He turns around and sees Helen hugging Barbara. For a moment, Adam feels like everything is happening in slow motion.

A teary eyed Helen comes up to her husband. "What were you guys talking about? What did you say to my father that made him start to go into cardiac arrest?"

Adam shakes his head and isn't able to find the words to tell Helen that Reg was calling him worthless.

"What did you say to him!?" she yells at her husband, when Adam doesn't respond to her.

"I…I was just…" he starts to say as Shane comes out of Reg's hospital room causing everyone to turn around and look at the doctor.

"Shane, how is he?" Helen asks him, hoping that her father is okay.

"I'm so sorry," Shane replies to them as Barbara starts to weep. "Your father has passed away."
