Scene One - Twin Peaks Women's Clinic

"Are you sure that you're ready to go in?" a young nurse asks Natasha, who looks pale as a ghost as she sits in the waiting room of the women's clinic.

Natasha looks up at the young woman and tries to force herself to smile but it fails and she just ends up nodding her head. She doesn't know if she's doing the right thing but she feels like this is the only option that she has left. She doesn't want this baby to come between her and Shane and she strongly believes that Shane wants to apply for the Chief of Staff job at the hospital more than have a child right now. The timing is just off to have a baby; they can have another one in the future. Still, what she is about to do is still hard to go through for any woman.

"You don't have to do this if you don't want too," the nurse tells Natasha as she comes over and sits next to her in the waiting room. "This is all up to you."

Natasha puts her head down and then forces herself to look up. "No," she says with barely any sound coming out of her voice. "I'm ready. Let's do this."

Meanwhile, at the Glubbs house, Shane finishes buttoning up his shirt before he grabs his cellphone. He tries calling Natasha, but it goes straight to voicemail.

"Damn it," he says as he dials Natasha's office. Once again, it goes to her voicemail. "Where the hell are you Natasha?" he asks himself as he has finally realized why Natasha has been acting so odd lately; she's pregnant and he knows that he has been talking a lot about the COS job.

"I hope she knows that I want this baby," he says to himself as he gets an idea as to how to track down his finance. He dials another number. "Rose, it's Shane Glubbs," he says into his voice as he speaks to Natasha's receptionist at the legal firm. "It's urgent that I find my finance. I need you to tell me exactly where she is Rose."

Back at the women's clinic, Natasha steps out of the private washroom in her room wearing a hospital gown. She looks at the large chair where she will soon be sitting. She takes a deep breath and starts to move towards the chair.

The young nurse comes back into the room. "I see you found your gown," she says, trying to sound cheery. "In this cup are your pills. Take them and we will be back in 15 minutes. Make sure you take all the medication; it's to ensure that you don't feel much during the procedure."

Natasha nods as though she was listening to everything the nurse was saying. She puts the pills in her mouth and swallows them down with some water. She moves to the chair and leans back trying to get comfortable.

She doesn't even remember hearing the nurse and doctor come into the hospital room again. She hears the doctor's rubber gloves snap on to his hand. "This won't take very long," he says to her as she leans back on the cushioned part of the chair.

Natasha opens her eyes for a brief moment and sees the young nurse. The nurse pushes a piece of hair out of Natasha's face. That's when it happens: Natasha sees Shane burst into the hospital room.

"Stop!" he yells as the nurse and doctor turn around. "Stop, whatever it is you're about to do! Just stop!" he says as he tries to catch his breath, hoping that he isn't too late.

Scene Two - The Sugarbowl

Robbie enters the coffeehouse in desperate need of a caffeine fix. His morning has been busy at the police station and he needed to get out and get some air and grab another cup of coffee. As he moves towards the coffee bar, he can't help but see Leah enter the coffeehouse. He turns and sees his ex-wife and he immediately knows what day it is; the anniversary of Noah's death.

He shakes his head quickly realizing how quickly time has flown by. It seems like yesterday that he and Leah were still married and just discovering that Noah was alive and well. Now, everything has changed.

"Leah," Robbie says as he comes up to her. "Can I get you a coffee?"

"Sure," Leah replies to him quickly. "I'll meet you in the booth? If you have a moment, of course."

"I do, I'll be right over," Robbie tells her. He soon sits across from her and passes her the coffee. "How are you?"

Leah takes a sip of her coffee and looks over at her ex-husband. The sadness on her face tells him everything that he needs to know. "As well as to be expected."

"I know what to day is," he reveals to her as she looks up at him.

"You remembered?" she asks him surprised by his revelation.

"Of course I do," he replies to Leah. "That day changed our lives forever. I think about Noah every year on this day."

"I'm just waiting for the year it gets easier," she quickly says back to him in a whisper. "I find myself going days, weeks sometimes a month before I will think of Noah throughout the year. But this time of year, today in particular, the pain feels so raw. Like the wound is reopened every year."

"I know it's not the same, but I feel the same way on New Year's," he confides to her.

"Because of Sofia," she says looking into his eyes.

Robbie nods his head back to her. "The key is that you remember the good times and always know that Noah and Sofia are always with us," he tells her as she wipes a tear away from her eye.

"I didn't mean to make you cry," he tells her.

She shakes her head. "It's fine," she replies giving him a quick smile. "So, do you want to hear some better news?"

Robbie arches his eyebrow as he takes a drink of his coffee. "Sure, what's going on?"

Leah sighs and looks at her ex-husband. "Jeff and I have decided to get married. It's going to be pretty soon," she reveals to him as he takes another drink of his coffee. "We are going to go out of town right after Shane and Natasha's wedding. It's going to be simple and quite."

"That sounds nice," he says back to her. For the first time, though, he feels like his divorce is really finalized. He realizes that she and Jeff have been engaged for some time now and he has moved on with Victoria, but hearing the words that she is getting married again make it all seem official. "Where are you going for the wedding?"

"Ah," she quickly grins to him. "Jeff and I are keeping it to ourselves. We want it to be just the two of us."

"That's fair," he smiles back to her. "It's ironic because after Nat's wedding, Victoria and I are planning a getaway as well."

"Looks like we are all moving on into the next phase of our lives."

"It sure does," he says back to her, slowly looking into her eyes and wondering how they got to this point of their lives.

Scene Three - The Riverside Delicatessen

"I'm glad that you could fit me into your schedule today," Victoria tells Donovan as they move to a table with their sandwiches. "I have some news that I wanted to tell you before Shane and Natasha's wedding."

"That is coming up, isn't it?" he says back to her as he sits across from his sister.

Victoria nods her head as she takes a bite of her sandwich. "The day after tomorrow," she informs him. "It has come up quickly."

"I still have to get them a gift," he chuckles in between bites of his lunch. "Anyways, what's up? What's this big news that you have to share with me?"

Victoria takes a sip of her juice before she looks back at her brother. "Robbie and I are getting away for a while."

Donovan smiles as he puts his sandwich down. "Well that's good news, right?"

Victoria nods back to him. "We are going to Lake Tahoe," she reveals to him. "I've never been but I've heard that it's extremely romantic."

"I've heard the same," Donovan replies to her. "That's great Vic. I'm really happy for you."

Victoria reaches across the table and grabs her brother's hand. "You know, the last time we spoke you admitted to me that there was a man from your past, a man from Europe, that had really hurt you. But you Donovan, you have to believe that love will come back into your life. You have to believe that you will get over that hurt."

Donovan blushes and puts his head down for a moment. "I'm trying to believe that Victoria. It might just not be in my cards. But you, you and Robbie will have a wonderful time in Lake Tahoe, I'm sure of it."

"It's nice that we have a chance to get out of the house for lunch," Adam tells Helen as they sit across from each other at another table. "We don't get to do this very much."

Helen looks at Adam and tries to enjoy her lunch. The truth is, the only thing that she has been able to concentrate on recently is the fact that Madeline uncovered the whereabouts of her parents. On one hand, she feels so thrilled that she has family out there but on the other hand, she is scared to death about the prospect of seeing her parents. Who are they? How are they? Do they think she is dead? If not, why haven't they tried to contact her before?

"Helen?" Adam asks her as he takes a bite of his sandwich. "Are you okay?"

Helen finally snaps back into reality and looks at her husband. "I'm fine," she tells him. "I'm sorry, you're right. We don't get to do this often and here I am off in my own world."

"You're thinking about your parents, aren't you?" Adam asks her.

Helen sighs and nods her head. "I haven't been able to think of anything else. I still have so many questions."

"Of course you do," Adam tells her. "Now that Madeline has found where they are, the question is, who are they?"

"I don't know if I'm ready to find out," Helen admits to him.

"You know Helen," Adam replies to her. "If you don't go and visit your parents, these questions that you have will never go away. They will always be with you and they will fester and grow until you can't cope anymore."

"So what do you suggest that I do? That we do?" Helen asks him.

Adam puts his sandwich down. "I think after Shane and Natasha's wedding you should go and visit your family. You should see who they are for yourself." Helen looks back at him and he can tell that she is scared. "I will be here for you Helen. You won't have to be alone."

Helen nods and gulps. "Part of me thinks I should go alone, at least the first time."

"I figured as much," Adam says back to her. "But you know I'm a phone call away. You won't be alone through this."

Helen smiles and nods back to him. "You're right. After the wedding, I'll go and see my mother and father."

Scene Four - Dominick's Townhouse

"I just can't believe that Robin has this infection," Cory tells Dominick and Will as the three men sit in the living room of Dominick's townhouse. Cory feels like his entire world has been turned upside down by the news that Robin has an infection. He was worried about her before with her mental state after their child died and now he has to deal with this news especially because it has come out of the left field.

"It did come out of nowhere," Dominick tells him before he quickly glances at Will. "But that's how these infections seem to work. One day you're fine, the next day you're extremely ill."

"Will, I didn't hear that this was a particularly bad flu season," Cory says to the nurse, trying to find justification.

"It's not too bad," Will nods back to Cory. "But the fact is, Robin was already pretty weak because of her mental status. The infection got in and has taken over pretty quickly."

Cory shakes his head and rubs his hands over his face. He sighs before he looks back at Dominick and Will. "So, what are you telling me? What do we have to do to make sure that Robin starts to heal?"

"I'm afraid it's not that easy," Will starts to explain.

"Well make it that easy!" Cory yells as he stands up. "If money is the problem, it won't be. Do whatever you have to do to make Robin better!"

"Cory," Dominick replies to his son in law as he stands up and moves over to him. "This is not William's fault, we shouldn't take it out on him."

"I know it's not his fault," Cory replies, continuing to raise his voice. "But we can't just sit here and do nothing while my wife is laying upstairs!"

"Don't you think I know that?" Dominick asks Cory back. "Do you think I'm pleased that my daughter has slowly lost her mind and is now fighting this infection? I would do anything to make this go away!"

"I know that Dominick," Cory replies, finally calming down a little. "I just hate that I am so helpless in this situation." Cory pauses and takes a deep breath. "Will, what is going on with her? What is the next step in getting Robin better?"

Cory and Dominick both look at Will, who gulps a little. "I'm afraid it's just a waiting game at this point."

"A waiting game for what?" Cory asks.

"Until, Robin dies," Will slowly reveals as Cory looks back in absolutely shock.

Scene Six - The Calimo Mansion

"Oh goodness Bob," Kim says as she walks into the living room of the Calimo Mansion. "There was this massive sale at the department store downtown," she tells him as she moves into the house with many bags. "I couldn't resist on a getting a few things."

Bob slowly turns from looking out the French doors to face his wife. He takes a sip of his brandy and looks at her for a moment. His mind races back to the previous day when he found her ultra sound, all the while knowing that he couldn't possibly the father of her unborn child because of her vasectomy. He looks at her again wondering how he should play his cards right now. He knows he needs to have proof of her affair before he busts her.

"It seems like you might have gone slightly over board," he finally tells her as he notes the numerous bags.

Kim looks up from the sofa as she was looking over some of the new linens that she purchased. "Are you kidding me? These were on an amazing sale!"

Bob can't help but smirk a little at her. "Is there something you've been meaning to tell me Kimberly?" he asks her cryptically.

Kim freezes and looks up at her husband. She can tell by the look on his face that something is going through his mind. She sets the linens down on the sofa and stands up to face him. "I'm not sure what you mean dear," she says to him as she walks up to him. She takes his empty glass from his hand and moves quickly over the bar making him another drink.

"Thank you," he replies to her as she passes him the brandy. "Why don't you have a glass of red wine with me? We can toast your amazing sales."

Kim smiles back at him. "I'm fine thank you," she says to him. "I guess there is something that I have been meaning to tell you."

"I'm all ears," he says to her looking at her with intent.

Kim looks back at him. "Do you know already?" she suddenly blurts out.

"That you're pregnant?" Bob asks her as she feels the blood drain from her face. "I do. I found your ultrasound by accident. When were you planning on telling me?"

Kim turns around and shuts her eyes. She tries to calm her heart rate down. Inside her head, she tells herself, "There's no way that he can know about my affair with Johnny. We were so careful. He must think that this baby is his."

"Kimberly? You're not answering me," Bob tells her again as she turns around coming out of her haze.

"I've been meaning to find the right time," Kim replies to him as she gets tears in her eyes. "I didn't know how you'd feel being a father again at this time stage of your life."

Bob looks at her and then finishes his brandy. He sets his glass down and moves closer to Kim. He knows that he has to wait to reveal that he knows that he can't be the father of her child until he has proof of the man that she was having an affair with.

"I couldn't be happier Kimberly," he lies as he comes up to her and hugs her. "Together, we will be creating a wonderful new family."

"Oh Bob," she says she fights tears in her eyes. "I'm so happy to hear you say this."

"I promise you Kimberly," he whispers into his ear. "I will do everything in my power to make sure this experience of having a child is everything you want it to be and more."

Scene Six - The Graveyard

Leah walks through the graveyard holding some yellow roses. She is planning on meeting Jeff at Noah's tombstone so they can remember their son together on the anniversary of his death. She stops when she hears someone calling her name. She turns around and sees Jeff walking towards her.

"I guess you beat me here," he says as he approaches her. "Thanks for grabbing the flowers."

"Of course," she replies to him. "I never know what to get him. I know yellow was his favorite colour, so I thought roses would be nice."

"I think they're beautiful," he tells her. "Are you ready to go see our son?"

Leah bites her lip trying not to cry. "I don't know Jeff. This doesn't seem to get any easier."

Jeff grabs her hand. "I know but we have to go see him. Today of all days is really important that we connect with him."

They start to walk towards the tombstone and are horrified when they see someone stand up after kneeling down to leave some flowers. Meggan turns around and sees Jeff and Leah approach her.

"Guess this was bound to happen sooner or later," Meggan quietly tells them as she looks at them. "I mean, running into each other now that I'm back in Twin Peaks."

"How dare you show your face at my son's grave site when you're the one that…" Leah begins to lash out at Meggan.

"Leah, please," Meggan cuts her off. "I know that I'm the one that was driving the car that killed Noah. I think about that every day that I'm alive. I have to live with the pain and the guilt that I have inside. But I hope you know that I went to rehab to get over my disease because that is exactly what alcoholism is, a disease. I am trying to put my life back together. I don't want to fight with you. Not today, not ever. I'm just here to pay respects for a life that was taken far too early."

Leah lets tears fall from her eyes and she turns to Jeff, who holds her. Jeff watches as Meggan slowly walks away from the gravesite, leaving the parents to weep at Noah's tombstone.

Scene Seven - Twin Peaks Women's Clinic

"I can't believe I was actually going to go through with this abortion," Natasha tells Shane as her medication has worn off and she is feeling normal again. "I'm so sorry that I didn't confide in you."

Shane grabs her hand and looks at his finance. "I can't tell you how sorry I am too," he whispers to her. "If I had known how upset you were feeling about the Chief of Staff position, I never would have continued to mention it."

"It's not that I'm upset about it," Natasha admits to him. "It's that I didn't think you'd have time to do the job and be a full time father. Having a baby is a huge commitment."

"Are you ready to be a mother?" Shane asks her.

Natasha nods her head as some water fills her eyes. "Then I'm ready to be a father. Especially if it means you and I are having a baby together. Oh, Natasha, this is the best news in the world!"

Natasha moves in and hugs him. "I'm so sorry for what I almost did."

"It's water under the bridge now," he tells her as they exit their hug and he leans in and gives her a quick kiss on the lips. "Now, how about you and I get out of here … we have a wedding to finish planning for the day after tomorrow!"

"That sounds amazing," Natasha smiles back to him through some tears.
