Scene One - Florence, Italy

"How did you sleep last night?" Victoria asks Robbie as brings him a coffee to the breakfast table in her childhood home. She was nervous at first about being back in the house that she grew up in, but after being back she has felt a sort of peace come over her. She, as an adult, has realized that her abuse as a child wasn't her fault and with her father dying recently, she feels like coming home has been a blessing for her. It has made her face demons that she wouldn't have otherwise overcome.

"Surprisingly well," Robbie replies to her as he takes a bite of his tomato slice. "I was exhausted after travelling and looking around Florence. How did you sleep? I know that it might have been hard considering your past in this house. How are you holding up?"

Victoria finishes taking a drink of her coffee. "It was a little difficult at first," Victoria replies to him. "But with my father dying, I don't know ... I feel like I'm at peace being here."

Robbie smiles at her, thrilled that she feels like she's doing okay being back at home after everything that happened with her in her childhood. "So, we should we try to do today to help prove Donovan's innocence?"

Victoria sighs and looks at him. "Well, I was thinking we could look through some of my father's things upstairs in the office. If he had any journals or something, they would be there. I don't know what we are looking for but we'll know when we find it."

Robbie nods his head. "That would be good. Maybe this afternoon, we could go out and explore more of the city. I would love to be in Italy with you, sight see and see Florence. This is my first time here."

Victoria looks at him and grabs his hand. "I would love that too Robbie. How about we go and shower together?"

Robbie leans in and kisses her passionately. "I think that's the best idea you've had all day," he says in between kisses. "I could spend hours in there though."

She grins back at him. "My father's journals aren't going anywhere."

They quickly stand up and rush up the stairs to the shower. The water turns on as the front door of the house opens. Jonas steps in and looks around the house. He hears the water running and quickly arches his eyebrow, realizing that someone is here.

"That didn't take long," he whispers to himself as he sees some of Robbie and Victoria's personal belongings in the house. "I'll have to watch myself." He says recalling how he has been staying at the house. "And I have to get to the office to collect my … things."

Scene Two - The Calimo House; Leah, Jeff & Paige's Home

"Paige is at her friends house for the rest of the day," Jeff tells Leah as he walks into the living room of the house. "We have the evening to do whatever we would like."

Leah turns to Jeff and puts her IPad down. "That's nice," she tells him, with a slightly worried look on her face. "It's good that she's getting to be such a social little butterfly. She really likes having a lot of friends."

"I agree, it is good for her. What are you looking at online?" he asks her as he sits next to her.

Leah shakes her head quickly. "I was checking my email to see if my father had emailed me," she tells him, still thinking of her father. "It's just not like to him to up and leave without any explanation to me or Robin."

"No one has heard from him yet?" he asks her as he grabs her hand as she shakes her head no. "Your father is one of the most powerful men in the country. He knows how to take care of himself. He will be okay."

Leah feels like she is getting water in her eyes. "I know he can take care of himself. I just wish he would reach out and let us know that he is okay. This isn't like him."

"He will. I'm sure he's away on some urgent business venture. You know how that stuff comes up last minute." He hopes that he is getting through to her that Dominick is going to be okay. Jeff doesn't know Dominick very well, but he is trying his best to make sure Leah feels better about his disappearance. He only hopes that what he is saying is true.

"Thanks Jeff," Leah tells him, appreciating what he is trying to do. "Let's change the subject. I don't want our entire evening alone together to be about my father."

"Okay," he says to her as he picks up the IPad and looks at her. "How about we look at new houses?"

Leah arches her eyebrow. "This isn't the first time you've mentioned moving out of this house. Are you serious about this?"

Jeff nods his head with excitement. "Of course I am," he quickly says. "I think it would be great if we got our own place. This house has so many memories connected to your marriage with Robbie. I would love for us to find a house of our own. A place for us to really start fresh together."

Leah smiles back at him and leans in and kisses him. "If you want to move, I would move with you Jeff. I want us to create a family with Paige in a new house. If that means a new house, then let's find a new house!"

Jeff kisses her again. "You know how much I love you, right?" Leah nods back to him. "Good," he says as he drops down to one knee. "I want you to marry me Leah," he announces to her as he pulls a ring box out from his pocket. "I know I asked you before and we were looking at rings, but now that the custody case is over and we can really be family, I want to make this official. Will you do the honour of being my wife?"

Leah smiles back to him. "Of course I will Jeff. I love you too!"

He slides the ring on her finger and they share another kiss. "Let's find a new house!" she smiles back to him as he comes up and sits next to her again, thrilled by the turn of their evening.

Scene Three - Roboto; Bob's Office

Bob sits at his desk looking at his computer screen. He has been working over time trying to come up with some kind of way to make sure that Roboto comes out on top in the on-going war between Roboto and Robertson Enterprises. He realizes that Dominick and his latest launch, Petals, is doing very well and he can't allow that to continue to happen. He has to come up with something that will put Roboto back on top and that will keep it on the top.

He pauses for a moment and realizes that he is doing this in large part for Sofia. While she has been gone for a few years now, he still loves his first wife very much and he knows that Dominick cared for her too. In fact, Dominick often claimed that he and Sofia belonged together. Bob always tries to think the opposite, but deep down he knows that the two of them did have a connection. That's the real reason that he wants to make sure Dominick fails; in his mind it's his way of proving he and Sofia meant nothing to each other. He continues to feel that by beating Dominick, it will prove that Sofia belonged with Bob, not Dominick.

He looks back on his laptop and clicks on a link in the top right corner. It takes him to the Twin Peaks Sun homepage and he quickly glances around at the headlines. One catches his eye and he sits back down to read more into it. "Dominick is missing?" he whispers to himself, wondering why his rival would go missing at a time when he just launched his latest line. "Something doesn't add up here, but I have to take advantage of this. The question is, how?"

Scene Four - The Sugarbowl

Eva picks up her coffee from the coffee bar and prepares to leave the coffee house. She has to get over to the court house as Donovan's trial is starting today and she has to be by his side. She shuts her eyes for a moment trying to keep herself calm knowing that her son's future is on the line and no one has been able to uncover any kind of evidence that could prove his innocence yet. Eva knows that the DA has a lot of evidence against her son as well; the shoe print and then finding the shoes in the dumpster and the waitress from the hotel that overheard Ernesto be upset with Donovan for being gay, which gives Donovan motive, even though Eva knows that her son could never do the crime.

As she starts to walk, she wishes that Will was going to be with her in court today. She can't stop thinking about how he told her that they are officially over for good. She only wishes that he would give her one more chance. If only she could make him realize that she still cares for him and together they could get over her lies if only they worked together. She stops in her tracks when she sees the door open to the coffee house spotting Will and Madeline entering together. She arches her eyebrow when she sees the two of them holding hands.

She walks up to them, curious as to what is going on. "Hello," Eva says as politely as she can, even though she hates seeing Will with another woman so quickly, especially Madeline since he has already gone down this path with Madeline before. "Will, do you have a moment?"

Madeline looks at Will and gives him half a smile. "It's fine. I'll go order for us."

"Thanks Maddie," he replies to her as his girlfriend walks past them. Will looks over at Eva and nods his head. "What's up?"

"I see you've moved on quickly. That's nice," Eva spits to him. "I thought I had meant more to you than this."

Will rolls his eyes. "Eva, what we had was lovely. But it didn't work out. I don't know how many times I have to tell you this. Anyways, I'm going to fight with you about my seeing Madeline."

Eva shakes her head as she gets water in her eyes. "That's not really why I wanted to talk to you," she reveals to him as she covers her mouth with her hand. "Donovan's trial starts today."

Will changes his attitude quickly as he realizes how big of a day it is for Eva and her entire family. "So soon? I had no idea."

Eva nods her head back. "I know I have no right to ask you this, but would you come with me? I just feel like I'm all alone in this mess. I was going to ask Dominick to accompany me, but he has left town for some unknown reason. I just … I don't think I can do in to that court room all alone."

Will comes up to her and puts his hand on her shoulder. "You're stronger than you think Eva. Don't sell yourself short. You will be fine. I … I can't go with you. I don't want to send you the wrong signals about you and I. But I am thinking of you today and Donovan. I really hope it all works out."

Eva nods her head back to him and fakes a smile. "Okay, I really should be going. I'm sorry I interrupted you."

Will watches her go and sighs heavily wondering if Eva will be ever be able to put what they had behind him. She keeps reaching out to him and he feels bad that he has to keep rejecting her, but he knows deep down that they are over for good this time.

"What was that all about?" Madeline asks Will as she comes up to him and passes him a coffee.

Will smiles back at her. "You don't want to know," he winks at her. "Let's grab a table and enjoy our java."

***

"I hate that you're not saying much to me still," Adam tells Helen as they sit across from each other in the back corner booth. He knows that his wife is upset with him for sleeping with Cassie when Helen was locked in the cage, but he just wishes that she could realize how and why it happened. Adam, like everyone else, was fooled by Cassie into thinking that she was Helen. Adam had no idea what was going on until it was too late. He hates that he slept with Cassie but he can't change what happened. Especially now that she is pregnant and they have taken a paternity test to see if Adam is the father. He is hoping on everything he has that the test comes back negative. He doesn't know how he, or Helen, will react to him being the father of Cassie's child.

"I know I messed up bad Helen," he continues to tell her. "But we need to come together right now. We need to stand united."

"United?" Helen asks him as she takes a sip of her coffee. "I don't know how to act with you right now. I understand that Cassie has my face, but does she have my body? You couldn't tell the difference between her naked body and mine?" She cringes at the thought of her questions. "You know what? Don't answer that. I don't think I want to have any more visuals of the two of you in bed."

Adam reaches over and grabs her hand. "Nothing I say will make this okay, will it?"

Helen shrugs her shoulders. "I just don't know what you can say or do to make this okay."

Adam nods his head back to her. "Just know that I never meant for this to happen. I just hope and pray that the paternity test comes back negative. I can't be the child's father. I just can't."

Helen looks at her husband and actually agrees with him for a change. Adam being the father of the baby would be the worst thing that could happen. She knows that she should be bracing herself for the fact that it could happen but she doesn't want to think about it.

"What are you thinking?" he asks her, observing that she has become quiet again.

Helen sighs and looks up from her coffee cup. "I," she begins to say before another long pause.

"It's okay Helen, just tell me. Now is not the time to hide feelings from each other. I need to know what's on your mind. Please, talk to me."

"Okay," she tells him, hoping that she's not going to be too harsh with him. "I honestly don't know how I will cope if you're the father of Cassie's baby. I don't know what I will do."

Adam nods back and fakes a smile to her. He can see that Helen is under a huge amount of stress. He only hopes that this one thing can go their way and they can try to put this nightmare behind them once and for all.

"Let's just hope that it comes back our way," Adam tells her as he tries to touch her hand again. She quickly moves it away from him his hand though.

"Yea, let's hope."

Scene Five - Twin Peaks Law Courts

"How are you holding up?" Natasha asks Donovan as they sit beside each other in the court room as they await for his trial to start. Natasha looks at her half brother and can see that he is tired. He is obviously not sleeping well, which is understandable based on what he is going through. She only hopes that she is able to get him off from these charges.

Donovan looks over at Natasha and shrugs his shoulders. "As well as to be expected. I wish Victoria was back from Italy. I could use her support."

"She's thinking about you," Eva announces as she comes up behind her two children and sits in the row behind him.

"Mom," Donovan says with a slight smile on his face. "Thanks for being here today."

"I wouldn't be any where else Donovan. I'm going to do everything in my power to help you."

Donovan nods his head back to her. "Natasha, how do things look?" Eva asks her daughter, wondering if Donovan's case has gotten any better.

Natasha looks back at Eva and then over at Donovan. "There's a lot of evidence against Donovan, but it is all circumstantial. I feel good about this. You don't be convicted Donovan, I will do everything I can do prevent that."

***

After a few more minutes, the bailiff comes out. "All rise," he announces to everyone as the people in the court room all stand. "Honourable Judge Franklin Ross presiding."

The Judge comes out and takes his seat. He looks out into the stand. "You may be seated," he announces to everyone. "Let's get this going. This trial may take awhile, so I'd to keep things moving along at a good rate. Ms. Calimo, are you ready?"

Natasha stands up and looks to the Judge. "Your honour, the DA has decided to charge Donovan Moretti with murder. That's a very serious charge, no doubt. But when you look at the evidence, you will see that it's all circumstantial. There's no real proof showing that Donovan Moretti killed his father. In fact, I will prove that Donovan is anything but a killer. Keeping all of this in mind, you simply can not convict him of murder without any concrete evidence."

Natasha returns to her seat and looks over at Donovan and smiles to him. "You'll be fine," she whispers to him.

Lois Kam stands up and looks over at Donovan with a slight grin on her face. "I have charged Donovan Moretti with the murder of his father Ernesto. Why? I have proof that shows he was at the scene of the crime. I have an eye witness that over heard Ernesto and Donovan fighting weeks before the murder. I also have proof that Ernesto was harming people that Donovan cares for deeply. There's motive, there's placing him at the scene. All of this evidence clearly proves that Donovan Moretti is guilty of murder. Your honour, this is an open and shut case. And because of that, I want you to find him guilty and sentence him to death. No one should get away with cold blooded murder. No one."

Lois returns to her seat. Donovan looks up and sees Judge Ross looking at him. Donovan gulps, wondering if the what Judge is thinking. He feels Natasha's hand squeeze his. He tries to take a deep breath, bracing himself for what could be next.
