Scene One - The Black House; Adam, Helen & Dawn’s Home

Natasha slowly tries to open her eyes, which is turning into a struggle. She slowly moves her hand to head, which is pounding. She feels a large lump and moans out in pain wondering what happened to her. With her eyes still closed, she feels a coolness around her. She moves her hand from her head to the ground, where she is laying, and feels a cold concrete below her. She finally musters up some strength to open up her eyes. She quickly realizes that she’s no longer in the living room of Adam and Helen’s house, where she last recalls being. She tries to push herself into a sitting position, but her weak body falls back down to the concrete floor. She slowly tries again and she slowly moves her into a sitting position on the ground.

“Take it easy,” a voice says to her, causing Natasha to look around the dimly light room.

“Who’s there?” Natasha calls out, her eyes straining to see any form of life around her. She still hasn’t been able to place her location yet either, which is most alarming to her at this point.

Helen moves slowly closer to Natasha holding a cup of water in her hand. She kneels down and gives Natasha the cup, “Drink this water. You’ve been through a lot. I can get some food from the fridge too if you’re hungry.”

Natasha fakes a smile to Helen and takes the water quickly drinking it all. After she finishes she looks back to Helen, “Thank you, Helen.”

Helen nods back to her, “Do you want more?”

Natasha shakes her head no, “Where are we?” she asks Helen, who walks the cup back over to the small fridge.

“You’re at my house,” Helen replies looking back at her. “I’m actually sorry to see you. You don’t know what this means, do you?”

Natasha continues to shake her head, not understanding what is happening. “The last thing I remember is being up stairs talking with you Helen. I was asking you why you kissed Shane and … I don’t remember anything else,” Natasha says, desperately trying to put the pieces back together in her mind. Nothing is making sense to her at this point, however. She doesn’t understand how she and Helen went from the living room to this cemented area.

Helen walks back to her and sits next to her, “You weren’t talking to me earlier Natasha,” Helen begins to explain to her. “You were talking to Cassie.”

Natasha arches her eyebrow, “Cassie?” she asks shaking her head, confused by what Helen is claiming. “That’s impossible. She died when she drove her car into the river last year.”

Helen grabs Natasha’s hand, “No, she didn’t. She survived and she had plastic surgery to make herself look like me. She kidnapped me the night Adam was shot last summer. She kidnapped me because she wanted to be close to Dawn and Shane again. She shot Adam because he came home right after the kidnapping. I know this sounds crazy, but it’s true.”

Natasha looks at Helen and slowly puts her hand to her face. “It’s me Natasha, I’m Helen!”

Natasha hugs her friend realizing that Helen is telling the truth, “My God Helen, you’ve been down here for months! She’s holding you hostage like some kind of animal?”

They part from their hug and look at each other, “And now, she has you in here too,” Helen says as she points to the steel bars that are holding them in the secret room.

Natasha stands up and rushes over to the bars and starts to shake them, hoping that they will come loose. “Cassie!” Natasha yells at the top of her lungs. “Cassie! Let us out!”

Helen comes up from behind her and puts her hand on her shoulder as Natasha starts to cry, “I’ve tried Natasha, there’s no escape. We are stuck here until Cassie releases us,” Helen tells her, as the colour from Natasha’s face drains as she finally realizes what they are up against.

Scene Two - St. Joseph’s Church

Father Murphy sees Jeff standing up in the aisle of his pew and stops the beginning of the wedding ceremony. He looks at Jeff closely and realizes that Jeff is looking extremely pale and is visibly shaking. Robin looks up at Father Murphy and realizes that he is stalling the ceremony.

“Father?” she asks quietly, not having seen Jeff stand up. “Is everything okay?”

Father Murphy moves to his side and looks at Jeff, causing Robin and Cory to turn around and see Jeff standing up in his pew. “Jeff? Is everything okay?” Father Murphy asks him.

Jeff looks down at the piece of paper in his hands that says, “She’s your baby girl” and he recalls how earlier in the day he called Paige by the same nick name. Why would someone send him that note unless it meant something? He looks over to see Paige sitting next to Bob in the front pew. For the first time, he can see that she is his child; he doesn’t know why he hasn’t see this earlier. He looks over to Leah and starts to get tears in his eyes.

“I can’t believe you did this,” he finally says looking at his ex-wife, who is taken a back at his words.

Leah looks at Jeff with complete confusion on her face. “Jeff? Sit down, we are trying to have the wedding,” Leah replies to him, hoping to settle what ever is going on after the ceremony. “We can talk about this after the ceremony.”

“Jeff, please sit down. You’re scaring me,” Veronica tells him as she stands next to him and tries to sit him down.

Jeff shakes his head and pulls Veronica off him. “No, this can’t wait! This can’t go on any longer. It’s already been too long.”

Robin looks out into the church and sees the many guests she invited to her wedding. In the back row, her eyes become fixed on Madeline who has a slight grin on her face. Suddenly she looks back at Jeff and gets a complete look of horror on her face. “She wouldn’t have, would she?” she asks herself, as Madeline continues to smile, knowing that Madeline has known that Jeff is really Paige’s father for some time now.

“Jeff, what the hell is going on?” Robbie finally asks, coming down from his best man position to confront him. “Whatever is going on can wait until after the wedding. Leah hasn’t done anything, please go sit down. You’re ruining Robin and Cory’s day.”

Jeff looks Robbie in the eye and starts to laugh, “My God, you have no idea do you? She’s been lying to everyone for so many years. And of course no one knows the truth. No one really knows what happened.”

Leah covers her mouth before she comes up to him, “What are you talking about? Please Jeff, I’m begging you, let’s talk about this in private after the wedding.”

Jeff looks at her with remorse. Under normal circumstances, he would gladly listen to what Leah is telling him but the fact that she has lied to everyone about Paige’s paternity for so many years makes him sick to his stomach. “The truth needs to come out Leah. It’s time.”

“You’re talking in riddles,” Robbie tells him. “What truth are you talking about?”

“Paige,” Jeff announces, causing Leah to get tears in her eyes. “She’s my daughter! I am Paige’s father!”

Shane quickly moves out of his pew as he realizes that the wedding will be delayed for a few moments now with the chaos that is unfolding. He quickly walks back into the foyer of the church and takes out his phone as he continues to be worried that Natasha hasn’t contacted him. She still hasn’t showed up for the wedding and it’s not like her to be so late for any event, yet alone not reach out and let him know her whereabouts.

“This isn’t like you Natasha,” he whispers as he dials her number again. He doesn’t want to worry if he doesn’t have too, but he can’t escape that something is very wrong with this picture. “Damn it,” he says as his phone call goes directly to her voicemail.

Shane looks up and sees Bob coming into the foyer with Paige. “I didn’t want her to hear that nonsense that is going on in there,” Bob informs Shane, as he is trying to protect his grand daughter from Jeff’s nonsense. “I thought it would be best for her to wait in here until they’ve sorted that out.”

“Good idea,” Shane replies to him, not able to hide his concern about Natasha on his face.

Bob looks back at Shane, “I didn’t see Natasha inside. She hasn’t arrived yet, has she?”

Shane shakes his head, “And her phone continues to go directly to her voicemail. This isn’t like her Bob.”

“No it certainly is not,” Bob says back to him, hoping that he doesn’t have to worry about his daughter. He sighs, “Let’s try not to worry okay? Maybe she got tied up that the legal firm and her phone is dead.”

Shane runs his hand through his hair, “Yea, I hope that’s all it is.”

“I can’t believe that this is all going down at Cory and Robin’s wedding,” Eva remarks to Will, as they walk out in the garden. After Jeff announced that he is Paige’s father, most of the guests cleared out of the church to give everyone some private time. Eva and Will agreed to go for a walk in the garden and enjoy the sun shine. She is just pleased that he is willing to be alone with her again. It hasn’t been that way since her past was revealed earlier in the year.

“It does seem pretty outrageous,” Will replies to her. “Then again, a lot of things have been happening lately that do not make much sense.”

Eva stops and looks at him, “I’m sure you’re talking about me and my past.”

Will shrugs, “Sorry, I probably shouldn’t have said anything.”

“No, you shouldn’t have. I’m growing extremely tired of everyone throwing it my face. I made a mistake, I realize that. I don’t know how many times I have to apologize before people can start to forgive me.”

Will looks at his lover in the eyes for the first time in a long time. He can see how hurt she is by so many people rejecting her lately. He hates to see her feeling like this because he does still care for her. He sighs a before saying, “I know I haven’t been very nice or supportive lately. I hope you understand why. It’s not easy learning something so huge about someone you think you know.”

Eva feels her eyes swell with water, “I couldn’t relive those memories,” she says as she bites her lower lip. “No one knows the type of pain I was living in all of those years. My god, do you think it was easy to leave my children there?”

“No, I don’t,” he quickly says back to her, seeing the pain on her face.

“When my plan to leave with the children failed, I knew I still had to run. If I went back, I think he would have killed me Will. I don’t think I would be here today.”

Will hugs Eva as she lets some tears escape her eyes. For the first time in a long time, the couple actually feel like they are a couple again. They exit their embrace and Eva wipes her eyes as Victoria walks by them.

“Oh Marbella,” Eva calls out to her, causing Victoria to turn and look at her. Eva immediately notices the small band aid on her daughter’s neck. “What on earth happened to your neck.”

Victoria sighs and wonders if she should tell her mother about her attack earlier in the day. The last thing she wants is to create worry over her.

“Victoria? What happened?” Will asks her again when she doesn’t reply to her mother’s question.

“I …” she begins to say. “I was attacked earlier. Someone knocked me out and cut me. I’m fine,” she quickly continues seeing the look of concern grow on Eva’s face, but unable to like to her. “But Robbie seems to think it was probably…”

“Ernesto!” Eva finishes her sentence, as she feels her blood boil.

Victoria nods, “I don’t know what happened. There’s no proof, but he would be the obvious choice.”

“How could he do this?“ She asks looking at Victoria. “Don’t worry Marbella, I will get to the bottom of this,” Eva replies to her daughter, knowing what she has to do next.

“I can’t believe this is all happening,” Daisy says to Vinny as they walk through the story level of the church. “If what Jeff is saying true, Robbie will be absolutely devastated.”

Vinny nods back to her, “It seems like no wedding in this city can go off without some kind of altercation.”

Daisy chuckles a little to him, “That’s why, when I got married it wasn’t in Twin Peaks.”

As soon as she says the words, she regrets it. The absolute last thing she wants to talk about today is her marriage to Chris and everything that has transpired since that time. “I only hope that Robbie and Leah can figure this out.”

Vinny sighs and looks at her, “I dunno, if what Jeff is saying is the truth, that will be a low blow to Robbie. Like you said, he’ll be devastated. I don’t know how he could forgive her after all that.”

“I know it seems like right now nothing will be okay,” Daisy replies as she locks eyes with his. “But I understand how getting over a betrayal isn’t easy but it can be done. It just takes time and patience.”

Vinny gives her half a grin back, “Are you telling me that you’re finally over everything Chris put you through?” He hopes that bringing up Chris’ name isn’t too upsetting for her.

“I’m saying that the pain isn’t has fresh anymore and …” she pauses as she searches for the right words to use. “I guess I am ready to move on.”

Vinny grabs her hands, “You don’t know how long I’ve waited for you to say those words Daisy,” he says looking at her again. “Maybe now we can have that date I’ve been asking about.”

Daisy smiles back to him and moves a piece of her hair behind her ear, “I’d like that Vinny, I really would. You’ve been so wonderful through all of this. Thank you, really.” she says as she moves closer to him.

He can’t help himself as he leans in and finds his lips on hers. The kiss is soft and simple and only lasts for a few moments before he parts, “Sorry,” he says trying to catch his breath. “I shouldn’t have rushed you.”

“No,” Daisy replies, still looking into his eyes. “It’s fine. I didn’t mind it at all. In fact, I rather enjoyed it.”

“Now that everyone is out of the church, you can tell me what the hell is going on!” Robbie yells at Jeff, who is sitting in the front pew of the church. He is absolutely livid with Jeff for making these outrageous accusations. “How dare you claim Paige to be your daughter. You don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about.”

“Let’s just try to stay calm,” Leah says coming in the middle of the two men. She looks to Jeff with desperation, hoping that she can convince him with her eyes to stop this, “Please Jeff, let’s just forget this ever happened. This is some kind of sick mistake.”

Jeff looks up at Leah, “You know, it never crossed my mind. You always told me that Robbie was the father and I believed you. But I see it now, I see Paige and I can see that she’s my daughter. I can’t believe I’ve been so stupid.”

“She’s not your daughter!” Leah snaps back at him.

“We slept together the night of Caldwell’s Mountain ski resort grand opening Robbie,” Jeff continues to report back to Robbie as he stands up to face him. “Leah never told you and it only happened once. Shortly after, Leah did become pregnant. She told me that you were the father. Since we were only together once, I believed her.”

Robbie looks at his wife as tears stroll down her face, “Is this true?” When she doesn’t say anything, he realizes that what Jeff is saying is true. “My God …” he whispers as he runs his hand through his hair. “All these years you’ve been lying to me and our family! You’ve been sleeping with Jeff the entire time?”

“No,” Leah cries back to him. “It only happened once Robbie, I swear to God, it only happened once!”

“Do you think that makes it okay? What’s left of our family now Leah? What’s left of our marriage?” he asks her looking at his crying wife.

Scene Three - The Black House; Adam, Helen & Dawn’s Home

“There has to be a way for us to get out of here,” Natasha tells Helen as she sits on one of the chairs in the cage that they are locked in. “I can’t just sit here and do nothing.”

Helen looks over at Natasha and wonders how long it will take before she gives up the way she has. It’s been so long since she’s been trapped in the cage, she doesn’t know if she will ever escape Cassie’s clutches. Cassie has really covered her bases well with her wicked plot.

“Maybe together we can come up with something?” Natasha continues as she looks over to Helen and sees her co-habitant looking off into space. “Helen? Are you listening to me?”

Helen looks back up at Natasha, “Sorry, I was just thinking. Can you tell me about Adam? How is he doing?”

“He’s doing good,” Natasha says back to her. “After the shooting it was touch and go for a bit, but he survived and he’s working really hard at regaining his leg strength.”

Helen feels her eyes water with tears, “That’s what Cassie wanted. She wanted to make sure that he wasn’t around the house because I am down here. She has this sick plan to make sure she is reunited with Shane too.”

Natasha’s eyes open wider realizing that’s why Shane told her that “Helen” had kissed him. It was really Cassie and she’s trying to get back together with him. “She won’t get away with this. Shane will never go back to her.”

“I see you two are talking about me,” Cassie smiles from outside of the cage as she arrives at her captors. “I’m flattered that you think about me so often.”

“You’re a sick woman,” Natasha spits back at her as she moves closer to the steel bars and puts her hands on them. “You won’t get away with this. My father, Shane, so many people will be wondering where I am Cassie!”

Cassie laughs, “I know they will be. I’m not that stupid Natasha,” Cassie rolls her eyes at her enemy. “That’s why I have this,” she says as she pulls out a pad of paper and a pen. “You’re going to do a little assignment for me.”

Scene Four - The Twin Peaks Executive Hotel, Suite 1409; Ernesto’s Room

The banging on the door gets louder and louder as Ernesto walks over to open the entry way to his suite. He looks at sees Eva standing on the other side, her fist about to bang another time on the door, “Really Eva, this is a high end hotel. Must you bang every time you want to come in and see me?”

“How dare you!” Eva yells at him as he walks into his suite.

Ernesto rolls his eyes, “Now what is that you think I’ve done Eva.”

Eva turns to her ex-husband and glares at him, “Where were you earlier this afternoon?” she asks him, hoping that she can prove that he was the one that attacked Victoria at the church earlier.

“I’ve been here at the hotel all day,” Ernesto replies to her. “Why do you care where I have been? What’s going on.”

“Marbella was attacked earlier,” Eva reveals to Ernesto, who’s eyes open wider.

“My God, is she alright?”

“She’s fine! But we want to know where you were. Did you hurt her?” Eva replies, still fuming.

“Of course I didn’t,” Ernesto says defending himself to her. “I would never …”

“Don’t you say that,” Eva says warning him as she comes closer to him. “After all the damage you’ve caused, you can’t blame any of us for thinking of you first Ernesto. And trust me when I tell you that I will find a way to prove that you were the one that did this. You don’t get away with this. Not again.”

Scene Five - St. Joseph’s Church

“You must be proud of yourself,” Robin says as she walks up to Madeline in the foyer, still wearing her wedding dress. She only hopes that once the dust settles with Leah and Robbie that her wedding to Cory will continue and go off without a hitch.

Madeline turns around and looks at Robin, “Excuse me?” she replies, playing dumb with Robin.

“I know that you set this all into motion,” Robin quickly says back to her. “You couldn’t handle that Cory didn’t want you, so you have to go around and ruin people’s lives.”

Madeline laughs a little, “People who lie and are deceitful ruin their own lives Robin. Maybe if your sister wasn’t running around with other men while she’s married, this wouldn’t have happened.”

Robin slaps Madeline hard across the face, “How dare you! Get out of this church before I have you thrown out.”

Madeline holds her cheek with her hand and glares at her enemy. She begins to walk out of the church, “Oh and Madeline,” Robin calls as Madeline turns around to face her. “You will pay for this. Maybe not from me, but my father will see to it that you pay for hurting my sister.”

***

“You slept with Jeff,” Robbie says again, still in disbelief by what has happened today. “You know what this means don’t you?”

Leah looks over at her husband, who is now sitting in the front pew and walks over to him. She shakes her head, “Paige is your daughter Robbie, I promise you. You’re her father. You always have been and you always will be.”

“Only that’s not true Leah,” Jeff intercepts their conversation. “You’ve kept me away from my daughter long enough. It’s time to tell the truth!”

Robbie looks up at Jeff and then back at Leah, who has gone completely pale.

“There’s only one way to solve this once and for all,” Jeff announces to them. “I want a paternity test done,” he says to them as Leah’s mouth falls open in shock. “Today. I want to go to the hospital right now and find out once and for all.”

Leah looks back at Robbie and gulps wondering how she can get out of this mess that she has created.
