Scene One - The Black House; Adam, Helen & Dawn’s Home

“I think that went quite well, don’t you?” Helen asks Casey as she pours herself a glass of red wine. After seeing Adam earlier at the rehabilitation center, drugging him, and getting him to agree not to pursue his memories of seeing Helen shoot him, she has decided that she needs a drink to celebrate her success. She’s not one that often enjoys the alcohol, but she thinks that she deserves one after the day she has had. She knows that her plan to keep Adam in the dark from what really happened is well on it’s way to working, she just has to keep making sure that he keeps taking the drugs that she is giving him and he will never remember the truth about the night of the shooting last summer.

Casey sighs and looks at his sister knowing that it did go well with Adam, he has just grown tired of playing the bad guy in the situation with her husband. Adam now believes that Casey is the one who shot him, which is all accordingly to plan, but the way that Adam glares at Casey every time they see each other is growing hard for Casey to handle. Casey has been moving forward in his relationship with Trenyce and would like that to continue; the fact that everyone believes he shot Adam could spell trouble for him romantically.

“It did, but you know I’ve been thinking,” Casey replies as he bites his lower lip not sure how Helen will react to what he has to say.

Helen turns to him and puts her wine glass down, “You’ve been thinking? That seems pretty ominous, don’t you? What exactly have you been thinking about Casey?” Something in his tone isn’t sitting well with her.

“Why do I have to be the bad guy with Adam? You know he hates me, right?” Casey tells her as he can see her frustration grow in front of him.

“This was the plan all along Casey! You knew exactly what you were getting into when we agreed to do this,” she reminds him of their plan. “You can’t turn back now. And,” she pauses while she takes another sip of her wine. “He doesn’t exactly hate you.”

“I can do whatever I want,” he spits back at her, tired of her always being in charge.

She comes up to him and looks in him in the eye before grabbing his shirt collar, “You have no idea what I’m capable of Casey,” she whispers in a wicked tone, worried that he is backing out of their well-constructed plan. “You’d be very wise not to mess with me.”

Casey smirks and laughs a little, “Okay, okay,” he says as she lets him go, not wanting to get into a huge fight with her. “Boy, I know how to get a rise out of you, hey sis?” he says trying to lighten the mood with her.

“Do you ever,” she replies as she walks over to grab her wine. “Like I said, everything is going accordingly to plan now. With Adam forgetting that night because of the drugs I’m giving him, you don’t have to worry about a thing. We are almost in the clear,” she informs him taking another drink of her wine, knowing that their plan is working.

“I know, I just hope it will end soon,” he says as he grabs his jacket.

She turns around and looks at him, “Where are you going? We don’t have plans for the rest of the afternoon.”

Casey looks at her, almost insulted that he can’t have a life outside of her and the rest of the plan. “I do have a life outside of this mess,” he tells her. “I’ll be back later, don’t worry.”

“Just remember Casey,” she warns him. “No one or nothing should get in the way of what we are doing here. We’ve come too far to let anything ruin this for us.”

Scene Two - The Sugarbowl

“Tell me, how was LA?” Madeline asks her brother as they sit across from each other in a booth at the coffee house. Since Reese recently got back from LA, the twin siblings decided to get together to catch up on what has been going on with each other as it has been awhile. “You look like you got some sun.”

Reese takes a bite of his brownie and looks at his sister wondering how she’ll react when he tells her about his trip LA. He still can’t believe that Dean took him to a modelling agency where the male models were posing nude and that Dean suggested that Reese also consider doing gay porn movie. He is livid with his boyfriend for even suggesting it, if he can even call Dean that anymore. Reese has no idea where they stand or if they are even a couple after this.

“I got some sun, the weather was amazing,” Reese says as he takes a drink of his coffee. “I can’t complain about that.”

Madeline looks at her twin brother and knows something is up. “So the weather was good, I get the feeling that the modelling contacts that Dean set up for you didn’t go so well.” She has always been able to read her twin brother very well.

“That’s putting it mildly,” Reese quickly replies to his sister. “You wouldn’t believe it if I told you.”

“What happened Reese?” Madeline asks him, wanting the details now. “You have me concerned.”

Reese looks at her, “I just don’t know what Dean was thinking. I mean, I know we haven’t been going out for that long, but I just thought he knew me better than that.”

“I don’t understand. Where did he take you?”

“The models at the agency that he took me too, they were posing nude Madeline. He wanted me to pose naked,” Reese reveals to his sister as her mouth falls open in shock. “And to top it off, when I confronted him about it at the hotel, he suggested that I do a gay porn video! Can you believe it?”

Madeline shakes her head, “I am stunned Reese. I don’t know what to say.”

“I know,” Reese replies to her, still in shock himself. “I don’t know what he was thinking. I’ve never given him any indication that is the direction I wanted my modelling career to go in. Working at Robertson was nothing like this at all, you know?”

“So what did he say for himself when you confronted him?” Madeline asks, still trying to uncover Dean’s motives for wanting to do this.

“Nothing really. After he told me to do a porn movie because I would be a huge star, I basically gave him the cold shoulder. He didn’t catch the same flight with me home,” Reese reveals to his sister. “I haven’t see him since.”

“What are you going go to do?”

“What can I do?” Reese shrugs his shoulders. “We obviously got our signals very crossed within regards to the modelling idea,” he continues to tell her. “I don’t even know where things stand with us.”

“I’m so sorry Reese, I know you liked him,” Madeline tells her brother.

“I still like him, I just don’t understand where this all coming from,” Reese says back to her. “But I intend to find out.”

“This was a nice surprise,” Daisy smiles as she sits next to Andy at the window seat of the coffeehouse. “It’s not often you ask me out for coffee.”

Andy smiles back over to Daisy, “I know, but I thought it would be nice to catch up. I haven’t seen you or Trenyce in awhile and thought this was long over due. I had a break this morning at the Sun and am lucky you weren’t busy at City Hall.”

“I’m always busy,” Daisy informs him being coy. “But I was happy to get the call from you. How are things with you and your new boyfriend?”

Andy pauses before he answers Daisy’s question as he knows that things have been a little tense lately with Craig as he caught Andy and Donovan holding hands recently, although it was in an innocent manner. Andy has made it very clear to Craig that he is not interested in Donovan, but he can’t help but be attracted to his friend; very attracted that is. That is something, however, that Craig doesn’t need to know about, Andy thinks to himself.

“Things are going pretty good,” Andy says, not wanting to fill Daisy in on all of the drama. “You know, it’s nice to date some a year or two older than me. It really brings a new balance and dynamic to the relationship.”

Daisy nods her head, “I suppose it would. I hope you don’t mind me saying this, but I always thought you and Reese would end up together. I was rather surprised that didn’t happen after JC left town.”

Andy laughs a little before he replies, “I think a lot of people thought that. So much has happened with Reese and I, that I think it’s for the best that we aren’t together, you know? We both have moved on and while we were each other’s first loves, that doesn’t always work out.”

Daisy nods and looks down knowing what he is saying is true. Chris was her first love and look where they are now; she’s been betrayed so many times by him and he’s now left town with her former best friend.

“Are you okay?” Andy asks Daisy, noticing that she is putting her head down and got quiet.

“Yea, I’m fine,” she replies looking at him. “I guess I was just thinking about what you said.”

“I hope I didn’t bring up some bad memories of Chris,” Andy quickly says back to her. “I know that it couldn’t have been easy to find out about his affair with Greta.”

Daisy shakes her head not wanting to get tears in her eyes, “It’s not your fault Andy,” she tells him. “Sometimes it takes time to get over something like that. You know, when someone you love really hurts you like that.”

Andy grabs her hand, “You will get over it Daisy,” he tells her. “You’re a beautiful woman, don’t let some douche bag like Chris ruin your soul and your spirit. You can find someone else that will treat you right.”

“Am I interrupting something?” Vinny comes up and asks as they both look at him.

“Did you find a maid of honour?” Cory asks Robin as they wait in the line to place their order, as they discuss their wedding plans. He can’t be more thrilled that they have reunited and are planning to renew their vows together. Now that he has told Madeline what is happening, nothing is stopping them from getting married again and being together forever.

Robin looks up at her husband and smiles, “Yea, Leah agreed to stand up for me. There’s no one I would rather want at my wedding than Leah, you know? She’s been through me through thick and thin.”

“I know,” Cory replies to her as he grabs her hand and squeezes it. “It is fitting because I asked Robbie to stand up for me and he said yes.”

Robin smiles back to him, “Really? That’s great. My sister and her husband will be standing up for us. Oh Cory, I can’t be more happier than I am right now.”

Cory leans in and gives her a quick kiss on the lips, “Just wait until we are at the alter showing everyone how much we love each other.”

She looks at him in the eyes, “I can’t wait for that moment and every moment after that Cory,” she says looking at him. “I love you so much and can’t wait for everyone to know it.”

“Me too Robin, me too.”

Scene Three - Robertson Enterprises; Trenyce’s Office

Trenyce’s large office in the Robertson Enterprises towers building over looks the river valley in the city. She has her sketch board facing her window so she has nature to inspire her latest designs. She is currently working on some sketches that will help with the Blooming Rose relaunch that is coming soon. After Roboto recently had their successful new perfume come out, Dominick has ordered her and Donovan to come up with new tactics in the Blooming Rose re-launch which is scheduled to come out in the summer time, about a year after the first launch happened.

She doesn’t turn her head as she hears someone open her office door as she is too focused on her design in front of her.

“I hope I’m not interrupting you,” a males voice is heard from behind Trenyce.

She puts her pencil down and turns around smiling when she sees Casey walking into her office. “I do have a lot of work to do, but I always have time for you,” she says as she stands up and walks up to him gives him a quick kiss. She looks into his eyes for a moment afterwards and loves the sparkle in his green eyes. He is the first man she’s opened herself up to in a very long time and her first ever real boyfriend. Trenyce can’t help but be completely taken with the man standing in front of her. “What’s going on? You look like you’re upset about something,” she observes to him as they walk towards some club chairs in her office.

Casey sighs and looks at her, he know that he can’t really share all of the details of his family drama with Trenyce, which upsets him but he knows that Helen would kill him if he did. “Sometimes family drama can be so intense, you know?”

Trenyce laughs a little as he grabs her hand, “On my goodness, Casey you have no idea. If I told you about some of the stuff my family that I have gone through, you would be amazed,” she tells him thinking about some of her past experiences. “You know the funny thing about families though Casey?”

“What’s that?” he asks her.

“No matter what happens, you’re always family at the end of the day. The blood that runs through your veins is the same blood that runs through Helen’s,” Trenyce tells her. “And that means that you always have each other’s backs, no matter what. I’ve done some pretty shady stuff to my Aunt Daisy, and at the end of every day single day, she’s still my biggest supporter. I don’t know where I would be without her.”

Casey smiles listening to his lover try to make him feel better, “I knew that coming to see you would be a good idea Trenyce,” he says to her as he leans in and gives her a kiss on the lips. “You have this way of making me feel amazing.”

“You are amazing Casey,” she replies to him as she looks into his eyes. “And I’m here to make sure that you never forget it.”

Scene Four - The Sugarbowl

“I didn’t mean to scare Andy away,” Vinny chuckles to Daisy as he sits next to know.

“I don’t think you scared him,” she smiles back to him. “He only had a short time to meet and have a quick catch up before he was due back at work,” she tells him.

“I know,” he grins at her. “I was teasing. I hope that I actually don’t scare people away when I approach them.”

Daisy laughs, “Yea, I don’t think you do either.”

“It looks like I did interrupt something, though,” Vinny replies to her. “I hope it was nothing serious.”

Daisy rolls hers eyes a little, “We were just talking, you know? Andy has been a friend of our families for a long time. I was just telling him about Chris and all that drama.”

Vinny nods his head back to her, “I know that you’ve been struggling with that a lot,” he tells her, recalling how he asked her out on a date recently because he likes her but she said she wasn’t ready because she was still getting over Chris and his betrayal. “These things take time, but I do believe that you will start to get over Chris. Not every guy out there is a liar and cheater like he is.”

Daisy smiles and nods at him, “I know Vinny. And I know that I’ve got to start living my life again. You know? I can’t keep dwelling on what Chris and Greta did to me. I am strong enough to know that I am better than that and all of their lies.”

Vinny smiles relieved that Daisy is finally accepting that she has move on in some capacity. “I’m happy to hear you say that Daisy, because there are people that want nothing but the best for you.”

Daisy’s eyes lock with his, “Is that so?”

He nods and moves closer to her, “I am one of those people. I would love nothing more than to show you that not all men are like Chris Michaels.”

“I don’t think you’re anything like him,” she smiles back to him.

He leans back away from her and puts his hand through his hair, “You’re something else, you know that?”

Daisy chuckles at him, “I don’t know what you mean.”

“You know that I like you Daisy, heck I’m falling for you,” Vinny admits to her as he leans forward again and grabs her hand, causing her to blush a little. “I will respect that you need some time, but I hope you know that when you’re ready, I will be there for you.”

“I do Vinny,” she says looking at him. “And I really, really appreciate that.”

Scene Five - The Sun Newspaper; Andy’s Office

Andy looks at his notes in front of him as he types his article for the next day’s addition. It’s not a huge article, but he not articles can be huge ones. He looks up when he hears his door open and he stands up when he sees Craig standing there.

“Hey, what’s going on?” Andy asks his boyfriend, as Craig usually doesn’t come by his office. “You don’t often stop by here.”

“I know, I was in the neighbourhood and thought I could just drop in, I hope you don’t mind,” Craig replies as he closes the door to Andy’s office.

“Of course not, nothing is wrong is it?”

Craig shakes his head, “I don’t think so,” he says back to his boyfriend. “Look, I know we have cleared the air about this Donovan thing but I have one other question for you.”

Andy clears his throat as he recalls him telling Craig that he wasn’t cheating on him with Donovan, which is true. “Okay, what’s your question?”

“I know you said that you weren’t cheating on me with him, which is nice to hear,” Craig replies slowly to him. “I don’t know, I know you said you guys were just friends but it just irks me that you didn’t tell me he was your friend in the first place. What were you hiding with him? Are you attracted to him or something?”

Andy looks down knowing that he is attracted to Donovan, but he doesn’t know if he should admit this to his boyfriend.

“You’re not saying anything,” Craig observes to Andy. “Look Andy, I don’t want to play games, I just want the truth. I’ve seen Donovan, I understand if you are attracted to him. He’s a very good looking guy.”

Andy looks up, “Then why are you even asking me this? Just because we are dating it doesn’t mean that we can’t and won’t be attracted to other guys. I’m sure there’s a lot of guys out there that you’re attracted to. The point is, we are in a relationship together and we are faithful to each other. Attractions will always happen, it’s just a matter of knowing not to act on them.”

Craig nods his head, “Fair enough.”

“Where is this coming from Craig? I thought we cleared the air the last time we spoke about this?”

“We did,” he replies. “I don’t know, I guess I’m feeling insecure because of what happened with Reese when you were dating JC.”

Andy walks around his desk and moves closer to his boyfriend, “You know, when someone cheats on their boyfriend, I often think that something isn’t right in the relationship to begin with,” Andy tells him. “With JC, he was so … obsessive, almost, you know? It wasn’t healthy. Don’t get me wrong, I cared for him a great deal, but it wasn’t meant to be. With you, it feels right and it feels good. I don’t want to screw that up.”

Craig smiles and looks at Andy, “I don’t want to screw it up either.”

“Then let’s just be, okay?” Andy replies to him. “Let’s just be us and be happy together.”

Craig smiles and leans in and kisses Andy, “I can do that.”

Scene Six - Twin Peaks Rehabilitation Center; Adam’s Room

Adam lays in his hospital bed sleeping. As he sleeps, he tosses and turns a little in his bed as he is having a nightmare about the night he was shot.

[FLASH]

Adam comes up to the door of his house and he turns the key of the door. As he opens the door suddenly he sees Helen’s facing laughing back at him taunting him. Suddenly, Helen multiples and there’s two, three, now four images of Helen’s face laughing at him. Each vision of Helen is pointing a gun at him as he stands in the doorway.

“You’re a burglar!” she screams out in horror.

“No, Helen!” Adam pleads with his wife. “It’s me! It’s Adam!”

Suddenly, a shot fires out from the gun and the bullet moves in slow motion. Adam screams in horror as the bullet moves closer to him.

[FLASH]

Adam opens his eyes and leans up in his bed in a cold sweat from his nightmare. He looks around the room and sees that it’s empty. He lays back down in his bed and tries to collect his breath.

“Why can’t I remember what happened that night?” he asks himself as he tries to get his heartbeat down to a regular pace. “I thought Helen shot me, but now I can’t remember a single thing.”

He looks to his side table and grabs his glass of water to take a drink of water. “I need to know what’s going. I need to know why I can’t remember now. Something to doesn’t make sense.”

Scene Seven - The Black House; Adam, Helen & Dawn’s Home

Helen sits on the sofa in the living room finishing her second glass of wine. She doesn’t know what has gotten into Casey, but she knows that it could spell trouble if he doesn’t come back around and agree to stick to the plan.

She sighs heavily knowing that they have worked far too hard to let anything stop them now, “I don’t know what the hell has gotten into him,” she says to herself as she takes another sip of her wine.

She stands up and thinks back to her kiss with Shane a few days earlier. She touches her lips and smiles at the thought of his lips against hers. She shakes her head when she hears a noise. She arches her eyebrow wondering what the noise could be. Suddenly, it dawns on her, It is coming from the basement. “What the hell is going on?” she asks herself, stunned by the noises that she is hearing.

“I need to put an end to this once and for all,” she whispers as she finishes her wine. She slowly moves towards the basement door and opens it. Slowly, she starts to creep down the stairs.
