Scene One - The Calimo Mansion

“Did Dad ask you why he wanted to meet us here today?” Natasha asks Robbie, who is looking out the large French doors into the garden. Natasha has a strong hunch as to why her father summoned her and her brother to the house today but she doesn’t really want to think about it. She assumes that he’s called them over to announce his marriage to Kim as she over heard them talking about the prospects of eloping a few days earlier. She is still livid that Eva prevented her from going to confront them and possibly stopping them from making this huge mistake. She is just hoping that maybe she is wrong and Bob didn’t marry Kim.

Robbie turns and looks at his sister shaking his head no, “I have no idea what’s going on Natasha. I haven’t seen Dad for a couple of weeks. I’m trying to give him his space in this entire romance with Kim. He knows that we will never accept what’s going on between them.”

Natasha sighs, “I don’t think he cares Robbie,” she reveals to her brother wondering if she should tell him what she overheard at the restaurant a few days earlier.

“Time will tell,” Robbie replies to her. “What’s going on with you? I can’t imagine you’ve had an easy time of it lately learning the truth about Eva’s past.”

Natasha rolls her eyes at the sound of Eva’s name. She still can’t believe that she let Eva into her life only for her to have more secrets and lies than anyone else like having more children that she never mentioned a word about? Natasha shakes her head, “I don’t know. I’ve seen Victoria and Donovan a few times and they’ve agreed that we should all get to know each other. I think that’s a good first step you know?” she tells him as he nods his head. “I just don’t know how to forgive Eva though.”

“I know Victoria has been struggling with the same thing,” Robbie tells her back causing Natasha to arch her eyebrow.

“You two have been growing closer, haven’t you?”

Robbie puts his down not wanting his sister to see that he is attracted to Victoria, despite being married to Leah. He doesn’t know why his wife has been so distant with him the last few months, but the fact that she has been has pushed him closer to Victoria. “We have because I was her security guard while she was being stalked. When you see someone in that vulnerable of a state, it’s impossible not to come closer to them.”

“That’s fair,” Natasha says as she turns because she hears the front door to the mansion open.

Bob soon enters the living room and smiles when he sees his children. “I see you both got my message,” he announces as Kim slowly follows him into the living room. “I’m so glad you both could be here for this.”

Natasha and Kim make eye contact, but Natasha quickly looks away from her, not able to stomach the sight of her former best friend.

“What’s going on Dad?” Robbie asks putting his hands on his hips and walking closer towards his father.

Kim comes up next to Bob and puts her hand on his chest, “We just got back from an impromptu trip to Vegas,” Kim reveals to Bob’s children. “We had a wonderful time.”

“Are we supposed to care about your travel plans?” Robbie asks them while Natasha feels a huge lump growing in her throat. She only hopes that what they are about to say isn’t so.

“We got married while we were there,” Bob reveals to his children hoping that they will be happy for him and Kim. “Kimberly and I are husband and wife.”

Natasha looks at Kim and suddenly feels her eyes swell with water. She knew that what she overheard was going to happen but the fact that Bob is actually saying those words to her makes her feel weak. She looks over at Robbie, who comes over and hugs her as she cries.

“Natasha, darling, please don’t cry,” Bob says as he comes up to her but Natasha pushes him off her as he tries to hug her.

“No Daddy, I can’t,” she whispers in between tears. “I can’t be happy for this marriage. This is the biggest mistake of your life.”

Bob is about to say something but Natasha rushes out of the room. He turns back to face Robbie, who glares at his father. “I hope you’re happy Dad. Any chance that you had of putting our family back together ended when you married Kim. I don’t know that we will ever be the family we once were.”

Bob watches as Robbie walks out of the living room following Natasha. Kim comes up to Bob and hugs him, “I’m so sorry that they weren’t happier for you, for us,” she says as she whispers into his ear.

He pulls her back and looks at her giving her a half a smile, “They will come around Kimberly. I know my children and they are just upset because Sofia is gone. Once they get over that, they will come around. I have faith in them.”

Kim hugs him again hoping that what he is saying is true. She certainly doesn’t want to be the cause of the Calimo children fighting with their father, but now that she is his wife she won’t tolerate any disrespect from his children.

Scene Two - The Pampa Grill

“I can’t believe you ate all of your pancakes!” Leah smiles over to Paige, whom is sitting across from her at the restaurant. “You’re going to be so full for daycare in a little while.”

Paige smiles back over, “I want to go play Mommy!”

“I suppose you can go to the playroom here at the restaurant,” Leah replies to her daughter, knowing that because the restaurant is so popular they have set up a play room for the children to go so the adults can enjoy their meals.

“Can I walk here to the playroom?” Dominick asks as he approaches the table. He was coming in for breakfast and happened to see his daughter and granddaughter at the table. “Maybe when I get back we can catch up?

Leah nods, “I’d like that Daddy. Paige, you go with Grandpa to the play room, okay?”

“Come on Grandpa!” Paige says taking his hand and leading him to the play room.

Leah watches them walk away and as her eyes make their way back to her own table she notices a couple sitting in the restaurant together. It’s Jeff and Veronica, clearly having a nice breakfast together. Leah sighs heavily as she continues to feel uneasy about Jeff’s pending marriage to the chemist. She knows she can’t let it bother her, but it does and it’s effecting her marriage to Robbie. Dominick returns to the table and notices Leah looking in the distance. He turns and sees the couple as well before he returns to looking at his daughter.

“I had heard that Jeff was back in town,” he says as he sits across from his daughter, surprised that she hadn’t mentioned it to him. “How are you feeling about this?”

The look on Leah’s face says it all, but she gives him half a smile, “I’m fine with it Daddy. I am happy in my marriage to Robbie and Jeff, well he’s engaged to Veronica Lane the new chemist that Roboto hired.”

Dominick nods as he takes a drink of his hot coffee, “I can tell by the look on your face that you’re not okay with this Leah. You can’t fool me, I’m your father.”

Leah smiles over at him, “I can’t hide anything from you, can I?”

“No, so what’s troubling you?”

Leah sighs and shakes her head, “I don’t know why it bothers me that he’s engaged Daddy, I really don’t. I mean, my god, after everything we’ve done to ensure my family is protected, what is wrong with me?”

“Nothing is wrong with you,” Dominick replies to her. “You are doing the best thing for your family. If anyone ever found out about Paige, I don’t know what would happen.”

“I can’t even think about that,” she quickly says back to him. “All hell would break loose.”

“I think you’re still feeling protective of Jeff because he was your first love, your high school sweetheart. I don’t know what it will take for you to truly let him go, but I think you have to do it. For the sake of your family and keeping your secret safe, you have to do it Leah,” he advises her as she looks over her shoulder and sees Jeff give Veronica a quick kiss on the lips.

Leah smiles and nods at her father knowing that he is right, but how she will let him go is another question.

“Thanks for meeting me for breakfast today,” Cory says over to Madeline, as she takes a drink of her hot coffee. He watches her for a moment and knows that the reason he called her for breakfast was to tell her that he and Robin have reunited and decided to renew their vows together. He can only imagine how upset Madeline will be because she has professed her love to him, but he has to do what is right for him and his marriage. After months of playing these silly games, he has decided to move forward with Robin and make his marriage work. It’s the only thing that makes sense in his mind.

“Well thank you for the invite,” Madeline replies as she finishes her mouthful of coffee. “You know I am always up for seeing you.”

Cory smiles back over at her, “I’m not sure you’ll feel that way after you hear what I have to say to you.”

Madeline arches her eyebrow wondering what Cory has to tell her. She recalls that Robin came to visit her to tell her that she had reunited with Cory; she can’t imagine that Robin informed Cory of their visit however. “You have my attention,” she tells him, thinking she has already figured it out.

Cory sighs and puts his coffee cup down on the table, “This isn’t easy for me because I really do care for you Madeline,” he begins to say as she feels her a lump form in her throat. “Robin and I, we are back together. We have decided to give our marriage another chance, for real this time. No more games or anything.”

She looks down wondering how she should respond to Cory. She finally looks up at him and smiles, “I can’t say that I am surprised Cory,” she says trying to stay strong. “It’s been clear for sometime that you two love each other.”

Cory nods, “I’m so sorry, I never meant to hurt you.”

Madeline shakes her head, “Don’t worry about it. You said the entire time that you weren’t looking for anything serious. I should have listened more and guarded myself.”

He reaches over and grabs her hand, “I really do hope that we can still be friends Madeline. I always did mean it when I told you that I enjoy your company.”

She nods and fights the tears in her eyes, “I may need some time before I can do that, okay?”

“Of course, take all the time you need,” Cory says back to her. “There’s one more thing that you should know, though.”

Madeline fakes a laugh wondering what else there could possibly be.

“Robin and I, we are going to get married again. Well at least renew our vows,” Cory tells her slowly knowing that the news will probably upset her greatly.

Madeline looks down and now is unable to hide the tears in her eyes. She looks over Cory’s shoulder and sees Jeff and Veronica sitting at a table together. Immediately she thinks of the secret that she knows: Jeff is really Paige’s father, not Robbie. She looks back at Cory, “Well I wish you well Cory. I really do,” she manages to say, even though she is thinking about how much she detests Robin.

“Again, I am sorry, I never meant to hurt you,” he tells her back. “Look, I’m going to go because I don’t want to keep upsetting you. When you’re ready, I do hope that you’ll call me as a friend Madeline.”

Madeline nods as Cory stands up and walks away from the table. Madeline wipes her eyes and suddenly feels her blood boiling. This is all Robin’s fault, she thinks to herself. “And if she thinks that she is going to get away with it, she has another thing coming,” she whispers to herself as she looks over at Jeff. “I think it’s time Jeff found out the truth. You want to call my bluff Robin, I will show you my bluff,” she seethes to herself.

“So what’s going with you today?” Donovan asks Victoria as he takes a drink of his orange juice. The two decided to come for breakfast together after Victoria spent the night at her brother’s house. She didn’t want to go back to her condo in fear that she would see Eva, who lives on the same floor as her.

Victoria sighs and finishes chewing a piece of her toast, “I have to go to the hospital. I have some patients that I need to see. I assume you have to head into the office today?”

Donovan nods his head, “Yea, I do. I think Dominick wants to go over some ways to make sure the Blooming Rose’s numbers are still good.”

Victoria arches her eyebrow, “That doesn’t seem like it should be too hard,” she comments. “The launch last summer was so successful.”

Donovan nods his head, “Yea, but when the new Roboto line came out, our sales dropped drastically. I think he wants to try to regain the edge.”

“Makes sense to me,” she replies to him.

“Well this is nice,” Eva announces to her children as she walks up to the table. “It really warms my heart to see how close you to have become.”

Victoria looks at Donovan before looking up at Eva, “Why wouldn’t we be close Eva? We are brother and sister after all.”

Eva smiles at her daughter, “Yes, I know but I know you had been separated for a few years. It’s nice that you’re able to recapture this relationship.”

“We have been through a lot together since I’ve been in town,” Donovan replies to Eva. “I guess having all this family drama makes you lean on those closest to you.”

“I know that I am a big part of the family drama,” Eva tells them. “And I know that I’m not your favourite person in the world right now, but I do hope that you both remember that I am your mother and I love you both very much.”

Victoria starts to choke on her coffee. “You love us? You have a very funny way of showing it Eva! Leaving us to fend for ourselves with an abusive father, yes that’s loving your children.”

“Marbella, I only wish you could see it from my point of view,” Eva replies to her, trying to stay calm but quickly realizing that approaching them was a mistake.

“Don’t call me Marbella, my name is Victoria,” she spits back at her mother.

“Eva, I think it would be for the best if you left. Thank you for your words earlier, but Victoria and I need time to process everything that has happened. We would appreciate if you gave us that much,” Donovan tells her as he looks over at Victoria.

“Very well,” Eva replies to them. “I hope you have lovely days.” Eva walks away from the table fighting tears in her eyes. She doesn’t know how much more rejection she can handle from her children. Victoria, Donovan and Natasha continue to lash out at her for her past mistakes. As she opens the door to the restaurant to leave, she shakes her head “This is all your fault Ernesto. You will pay for what you’ve done to me,” she whispers to herself.

Scene Three - The Rehabilitation Center; Adam’s Room

“Did you bring the pill?” Casey asks Helen as they sit in Adam’s room waiting for him to return from his physical therapy. Casey knows that they have been struggling with Adam’s resurging memory and that they have to put an end to it if they want their plan to work. They can not allow Adam’s memory of what really happened the night of the shooting to come back; they have to stick to the story that they told him: Casey, not Helen, shot Adam that night.

“Of course I did,” Helen snaps back at him, growing tired of him thinking that she isn’t capable of carrying out this agenda that they have. “Remember, it was my idea to do this Casey. I know what I’m doing.”

“Okay, okay,” he tells her back not wanting to make her upset with anything further. “I just wanted to make sure.”

“You just remember what’s going to happen today,” she sighs as she looks out the window, sort of daydreaming about her kiss with Shane a few days earlier.

They are interrupted when the door opens and a nurse pushes Adam into the room in his wheel chair. Adam looks and is surprised to see both his wife and brother in law waiting for him. “What’s this? The welcoming committee?” he jokes as the nurse helps him into his bed.

“How was therapy today?” Helen asks as she turns from the window and looks at her husband. “Make anymore progress?”

Adam nods a little, “I took another step. Just one again, but anything is better than nothing.”

“I am proud of you,” she replies to him. “Do you want a glass of water? You must be so thirsty after all that work.”

“That’d be great, thanks Helen,” Adam says to her as Helen walks over to the large water pitcher. She slips a white pill into his water glass and swirls the liquid around until it dissolves.

“I told Helen about the last time I was here,” Casey finally says something to Adam. “About how you wanted more answers about the night of the shooting and how you verbally attacked me.”

Adam rolls his eyes not realizing that Casey was going to ambush him like that. “I just think it’s odd that my memories are not matching what you two are claiming.”

“When was the last time you had a memory?” Helen asks her husband as she passes him his drugged water.

Adam takes a big drink of the water as Helen makes eye contact with Casey. He finishes the glass, “Not for awhile. It’s almost like my memory is fuzzy or something,” he admits to her, growing frustrated that he hasn’t been able to have another memory in awhile.

“See,” Helen replies as she takes the glass from Adam. “This is why I told you that your mind is playing tricks on you. You can’t remember and you just said your memory is fuzzy Adam.”

“Can I get another glass of water?” he asks her as she turns and refills his glass. Adam sighs and then thinks about his wife just said, “Maybe you’re right, I don’t know. I was having clear memories and now they are hazy and fuzzy. It’s the oddest thing.”

“I just hope we can finally put an end to this nonsense once and for all,” Casey replies coldly. “I feel awful about what happened and the fact that you keep mentioning it really brings me down.”

“He doesn’t mean too,” Helen says to her brother. “He wants to know what really happened, we have to understand that.”

Adam’s eyes open wide as it’s the first time Helen has seemingly defended him to anyone in recent memory. “But what you have to know Adam is that I love you and I would never steer you in the wrong direction. I don’t know what kind memories you claim to be having, but since you’re not having them anymore, I think we can chalk up it as your mind was playing tricks on you. Can we all just forget this now?”

Adam looks at his wife and grabs her hand, “I will try Helen,” he says back to her. “At least until I have another memory.”

Helen looks over at Casey and gives him a subtle nod of the head knowing that their plan is working, “I like the sound of that Adam,” knowing very well that because she is drugging him, he won’t have another memory any time soon.

Scene Four - Twin Peaks General Hospital; Shane’s Office

Natasha opens the door to Shane’s office and walks in spotting her fiancé sitting at his desk and immediately gets a smile on her face. He looks up and sees her standing at the doorway. “Hey, what brings you by?” he asks as she closes the door behind her.

“You won’t believe the morning I have had,” she admits to him as she comes up to him and they share a hug hello. “I needed to feel your arms around me.”

He smiles as he whispers into her ear, “You know I always want you in my arms.”

They exit their embrace and he looks into her eyes. “Tell me what’s going on? What’s gotten you so worked up.”

Natasha sighs and turns her back to her lover. “My father has married Kim. They eloped in Las Vegas the other day,” she says slowly, trying to keep her composure.

“You’re kidding,” Shane replies stunned by the news. “I thought Kim was planning some huge wedding?”

“I guess not,” Natasha replies turning back to face him. She feels her eyes swell with water, “You know, I guess I always just assumed that this would end before it got to the point of marriage. But now, my best friend is my step mother? I don’t think I can get my head around that. I don’t think I can accept that she’s sleeping in my mother’s bed, being in my mothers’ role.”

Shane comes up to her and hugs her, “I know this hasn’t been easy on you Nat, but this was your father’s decision. There’s nothing we can do to change his mind. We just have to support him.”

“No,” she replies looking at him intently. “I don’t have to support this marriage. I won’t support this marriage. Not now, not ever.”

Shane looks at her and nods, “Okay,” he says back to her. “Just know that I’m here whenever you need to vent.”

“Thank you, I do appreciate that. I’m sorry to stop by and drop all this on you.”

“Nah, that’s what being in a relationship is all about,” he replies to her. “Actually, I was going to ask you to come over today anyways. I have to tell you something.”

Natasha arches her eyebrow, not sure she likes the tone that Shane said that with. “What’s going on?”

Shane looks over at the sofa in his office and recalls the other day when Helen came by to talk to him and she ended up kissing him. He quickly ended the kiss and she left, but he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about it. Or at least, wondering if he should tell Natasha. Knowing that they are getting married and he doesn’t want any secrets, he knows what he has to do.

“Helen came by the other day to talk to me,” he tells her. “You know that she’s been coming to see more and more with some personal problems.”

“Yea, I figured as much after you told me that you were thinking about her on Valentine’s Day,” Natasha replies rolling her eyes slightly. She doesn’t like that Helen has been on his mind so much lately.

“Well something happened when she was here and I want you to hear it from me,” Shane tells her as she arches her eyebrow. “Helen kissed me Natasha.”

“What?” Natasha asks with her eyes wide open.

“It was brief and I stopped it immediately, but it did happen,” Shane informs her.

Natasha turns around and feels her blood boil. “Great, so my maid of honour is kissing my fiancé! What the hell was she thinking?”

“I don’t know,” Shane replies to her. “Maybe she was feeling lost and lone? Her and Adam aren’t exactly seeing eye to eye right now.”

“That’s no excuse,” Natasha says as she turns around and faces him. “But you know what? I tend to find out exactly what she was thinking.”

Scene Five - Twin Peaks Executive Hotel, Suite 1409; Ernesto’s Room

“I said I’m coming!” Ernesto calls out as he continues to hear a pounding on his door of the hotel room. He finally reaches the door and opens it to see Eva standing on the other side of the door. “Eva, this is a surprise.”

“Is it?” she asks as she barges into his room. “I have a few things to say to you, and you’re going to listen whether you like it or not.”

“You know what’s ironic?” he smiles as he shuts the door to the room. “You claim that I was such a horrible monster to you, yet here you are standing in my room all alone. Aren’t you scared of what I’ll do to you?”

“No,” she replies to him. “I’m a lot stronger than I was when I was married to you. I’m not scared of you anymore.”

He grins at her and comes up to her, “You probably should be my dear. I know a lot …”

“Shut up!” she yells at him. “Don’t you understand what you’ve done? You’ve ruined everything by coming back here! You’ve created a huge mess and I have no idea how to fix this. I have no idea what I’m going to do.”

Ernesto laughs at her, “I didn’t create anything Eva. You created this mess when you left all those years ago. You created this mess with your lies. I’m just being the villain by telling everyone the truth.”

“You are the villain Ernesto,” she says getting in his face. “You created this mess with your abuse to everyone. I came here to tell you to stay away from me and my family or so help me god …”

“Bravo! Are you done now? Cause you can leave any time. And I’ll make you a promise, if you leave now, I won’t tell anyone your other secrets,” he says with a twinkle in his eye.

“Go to hell,” Eva spits at him as she walks out the room and slams the door shut. Outside she leans up against the door and covers her mouth. “He can’t say anything else. He just can’t. I won’t let him!”
