Scene One - The Tower’s, Floor Eight; Victoria’s Condo

Victoria grabs her jacket as she prepares to leave the house as she has to head into the hospital today even though she is dreading it. She knows that people will be talking about the fact that her father is back in town and was arrested on New Years Eve. Not only that, but the fact that Eva was revealed to be her mother. She still has a hard time believing that for months Eva was working as her boss and she never said anything to her that they may be related. For so many years, Victoria believed that her mother was dead; to find out that she’s alive and well and someone that she knows and has interacted with is a very hard pill to swallow.

She shakes her head knowing that she has to put it out of her mind, at least for a few hours while she’s at work. She only hopes that Eva isn’t on duty at the same time that she is today. She opens her door and as she’s locking her door, she hears another condo door on her floor open.

“Victoria,” Eva says from her door way. Eva had heard a door open from inside her condo and was hoping that it was Victoria. She barely slept since the truth came out as she is so very desperate for everyone to understand why she ran away all those years ago, even though she still struggles with her decision each and every day. “Do you have a moment to talk.”

Victoria finishes locking her door before she turns and around faces her mother. “Actually, I don’t. I’m running late heading into the hospital. You wouldn’t want me to be late, would you? You are my boss after all.”

Eva sighs and feels her heart sink knowing that it may take some time for her children to forgive her and even speak to her. “Please, just hear me out Victoria. I want you to understand that I never meant to leave you and brother with Ernesto. It just … happened,” she says slowly, hoping that Victoria will understand what she is saying.

“I’ve heard your excuses Eva,” Victoria replies coldly to her. “You have no idea what that man put me through.” Victoria shuts her eyes and tries not to cry as she thinks back to the years of sexual abuse that she suffered from her father. “I lost so much of my youth because of him. And you could have prevented some of it. You could have prevented so much if you had not run away!”

“I know!” Eva replies quickly. “I know what he did to you and I’m so sorry. I just want you to understand why I did what I did.”

“I will never understand,” Victoria replies as she wipes her face from a tear that has fallen from her eye. “And I really do not want to hear your excuses. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to get to work.”

Eva watches as Victoria walks past her door and towards the elevator. Eva thinks about calling out after her, but she decides not too. She has to find a way to make Victoria and Donovan realize her motives for running all those years ago. She also has to find Will and hope that he will understand as well, even though she hasn’t heard from him since New Year’s Eve.

“They have to understand,” she whispers to herself. “I just have to make them realize why I did what I did.”

Scene Two - Twin Peaks Police Department; Robbie’s Office

“I must admit, I am bit surprised to see you here today,” Robbie tells Donovan as he welcomes Donovan into his office. Robbie is still in shock by the happenings on New Year’s Eve, having Ernesto be revealed to be Victoria and Eva’s stalker but also the fact that Eva is Victoria and Donovan’s mother. After Ernesto was arrested, Robbie thought that everything would cool down for awhile. “Your father is still in jail.”

Donovan gives him half a smile, “Do you know how long he’ll stay there for?” The last thing Donovan wants is for his father to be released from jail so he can create more havoc in Victoria’s life again. He knows how scary the months that Victoria was being stalked were for everyone. Especially Victoria, however. He wants to ensure that she is safe.

Robbie sits at his desk and looks at Donovan, “Probably not very long, if I am honest. I realize that’s not what you wanted to hear, but a stalking charge really does amount to much jail time. He will probably get a fine a restraining order against Victoria and Eva. He would have to do something else for the charges to stick.”

Donovan suddenly fears the worst. “Something else? Like what?” He can’t imagine what a “something else” could possibly be, especially given Ernesto’s abusive history.

Robbie shrugs, “I don’t know what your father would try to do. Let’s hope that he’s a reformed man and doesn’t try anything else illegal, much less try to hard Victoria or Eva.”

Donovan laughs a little trying to find humour in the situation. “I really don’t think he’s reformed. Do you think he would have been stalking Victoria and Eva for months if he had changed? I’m scared about what this will do to Victoria. I’m scared what it will do to her.”

“He would be a fool to go after Victoria or Eva again. Now that’s exposed himself as being their stalker, we will be on his ass every day, all day. Trust me, when he’s released from jail, Victoria will be safe. He has to take the restraining order seriously, though.”

Donovan sighs and looks over at him, “I hope you’re right. Can I ask you something?”

“Of course,” Robbie quickly replies to him.

“Can my father have visitors?”

Robbie arches his eyebrow, “Yes, no one has went to see him yet though. I can’t imagine that anyone would go see him.”

Donovan looks up from the desk and makes eye contact with Robbie, “I want to see him. I want to see my father.”

Scene Three - Roboto; Bob’s Office

Bob sits at his desk and looks over some files as he types furiously into his computer. He, and the rest of the Roboto team, have been working hard on a new perfume that will rival Dominick’s scent The Blooming Rose at Robertson Enterprises. He finishes typing into his computer and picks up his phone, dialling a number in the process.

“Chris,” he says into the telephone. “I need an update on the marketing for the launch. Everyone here is near ready to move forward with it.”

Bob listens as Chris explains what he’s up to in Chicago and gets a small grin on his face. “Send that to me in an email ASAP,” Bob orders him. “And Chris,” he continues to say. “Good work.”

Bob hangs up the telephone and grins. He can’t believe that after all the months of hard work everything is coming together. Not only is it coming together, but he firmly believes that his new line will put Roboto back at the top of the cosmetic’s empire, where they should be in his mind. They never should have left.

He picks up the phone again and dials a number. “Veronica, it’s Bob,” he says into the receiver. “Please tell me you have good news for me.”

He listens as his chemist speaks to him. “That’s great news. I’m sending Leah down shortly to spell the final product. I’ll wait to hear her final approval before I agree that everything is wrapped up.”

He hangs up the phone and stands up. He walks over to the window of his office and looks outside with a grin on his face. “Everything is almost ready,” he whispers to himself. “I can’t wait to squish you Dominick the way you deserve to be beaten down. And I will beat you down, if it’s the last thing I possibly do.”

Scene Four - Roboto; The Lab

The elevator door opens to the floor where the lab is in the Roboto building and Leah slowly steps gets out. As she walks towards the lab door, she can’t help but remember the last time she saw Veronica, although the chemist did not see her. She was the Calimo mansion on New Year’s Eve for Shane and Natasha’s engagement party and when she went upstairs to check on Paige, who was fast asleep, she saw Jeff and Veronica get engaged. Leah still isn’t sure why it bothers her so much that her ex-husband is now engaged to Veronica, but it does bother her. She knows that she has been lying to everyone for years of Paige’s paternity as she is desperately trying to keep her family together so the fact that Jeff is getting engaged shouldn’t bother her. She loves Robbie and the family she has worked so hard at creating.

She arrives at the door, which is glass and she peers in and sees Veronica standing in the lab working hard to finish the final touches on the new scent that Roboto is working on. She can see why Jeff would be attracted to Veronica, the woman is stunning with her long red hair and she is always so seemingly put together. Leah shakes her head knowing that she can’t think about the engagement right now, she has more important things to do with the chemist.

“Veronica?” she calls out as she opens the door causing the chemist to turn around and smile when she sees Leah enter. “Bob asked me to come down and see the final product of the new perfumes. Do you happen to have them ready?”

“I’ve been expecting you,” Veronica tells her back, recalling the phone call that Bob just gave her telling her that Leah would be down to smell the perfumes. “I have both a women’s scent and a men’s scent ready. I think you’ll find that they compliment each other but really are uniquely feminine and masculine,” she explains to Leah as they walk over to another area of the lab.

Leah picks up to swabs after the scents are squirted on them. She let’s them air for a moment before she takes them to her nose and smells them. She looks to Veronica, “This is really, really nice! I’m very impressed.”

“Really?” Veronica asks her, knowing that her future with the company is really riding on this line. She was brought in specifically to develop a new line and if it wasn’t what the company was looking for, chance are she’d be out of a job at the end of the day. “I was working hard on it and I looked that the potential ad-campaigns and website you and Jeff were working on and tried to play off it.”

“It’s wonderful, I think Bob will be very pleased. I will be giving him my go-ahead on these scents. You’ve done a very good job,” Leah tells her, thrilled that Roboto will be able to launch in time for the Valentine’s Day market.

“Thank you so much Leah,” Veronica says as she puts her hands to her face, happy that she is pleased with the final results.

Leah can’t help but notice the ring on Veronica’s left hand and gulps at the sight of it. She can’t help but say something about it, “I never noticed a ring on your finger before,” she fakes a smile to the chemist.

“Oh,” Veronica tells her as she extends her hand out to Leah. “Jeff asked me to marry him on New Year’s Eve. Isn’t it exciting?”

“It sure is,” Leah quickly replies feeling a little uneasy. “Weddings are always a special time. Have you two set a date?”

“Oh goodness no,” Veronica replies to her. “It happened so quickly and we’ve both been so busy here at Roboto, we haven’t even talked about it yet, really.”

Leah nods listening, feeling relieved that Jeff is pressing to rush a wedding anytime soon. She finds herself scolding herself, however, because she shouldn’t care about Jeff or what he does in his person life.

“Well this is wonderful,” Leah tells her. “I will have to congratulate him when I see him next.”

“Thank you Leah,” she quickly replies to her. “And please tell Bob that I hope he likes the scents I’ve created as well.”

Scene Five - River Side Delicatessen

Trenyce takes a drink of her coffee and looks over at Casey, who takes a bit of his eggs Benedict. She is happy that he asked her for brunch this morning because she hadn’t seen him in a few weeks and while she doesn’t want to pressure him, she really does like him. She didn’t want to press him into spending New Years Eve with her because they are not officially dating, but she hopes that is the where they will eventually be. She doesn’t want to rush into anything. That being said, she has a lot to learn about the man in front of her, and if she has learned anything in recent months it is that she needs to learn everything there is to know about someone before she gets in too deep.

“Thanks for having brunch with me today,” she smiles over to him as she takes a bite of her waffle. “What did you end up doing on New Years Eve?”

Casey smiles as he takes a drink of his orange juice, “You don’t believe me when I tell you!”

Trenyce arches her eyebrow, “Try me,” she grins over to him.

Casey pauses before he leans in closer to her, “I was babysitting Dawn all evening while Adam and Helen went to some engagement party for some rich folks mansion in the mountains.”

Trenyce can’t help but laugh when she hears Casey’s story. “That doesn’t sound so terrible,” she admits to him. “I would have loved to have spent the evening with Andrew, but my Aunt insisted that I go out.”

“So where did you go?” Casey asks her.

Trenyce locks eyes with him, “Some engagement party for some rich folks in a mansion in the mountains,” she says before she bursts into laughter.

Casey can’t help but laugh back with her. “You were there? Really? What is it like?”

“Um, it was alright. I’ve been to the Calimo mansion a few times. It’s … pretty nice, I must admit. I don’t think I could ever get used to living in that kind of luxury. But still the party was nice. Next time I get invited, I’ll bring you as my date!”

“I’d like that!” Casey says to her. “Thanks for this Trenyce.”

“For what?”

“For making me laugh. Things have been … tense lately at home with Adam and Helen. It’s nice to get out and have fun once in awhile as well. I owe that to you,” he says as he looks into her eyes and grabs her hand.

“Well,” Trenyce feels herself blush. “I like spending time with you. I’m glad it’s a good thing for you too.”

“It is,” he says as he get out of his seat and walks over to her. He leans down and puts his hand to her cheek, “I hope this is okay with you,” he says as he leans in and gives her a kiss on the lips. Trenyce finds herself enjoying the kiss and pulls him in for a longer kiss.

When they finally part, she smiles at him. “Yea, that’s definitely okay with me.”

Scene Six - Twin Peaks General Hospital; Craig’s Office

“Hey, I thought I’d find you here,” Andy says to Craig as he opens the door and sees the doctor sitting at his desk. Andy recalls how they had a nice time together on New Year’s Eve at Shane and Natasha’s engagement party but Reese intercepted them and called them out for dating each other now. He wishes that Reese would start to mind his own business where he is concerned as he has made it clear that the two of them do not have a chance to be together. Since Reese made that clear, Andy has been trying to move on with his life and he has been trying to do that with Craig. “I hadn’t heard from you since New Year’s Eve and wanted to touch base with you.”

Craig smiles from his desk when he sees Andy walk into his office. “Yea, sorry Andy. Life of a doctor, sometimes we can get pretty busy. I wasn’t ignoring you or anything.”

“Well that’s a relief,” Andy smiles over to him as he comes up to the desk. “I guess a part of me was wondering what was happening since Reese called out us at the party on New Years Eve.”

Craig stands up and takes off his white doctor jacket, “I don’t care what Reese thinks about us or says about us Andy. I want to get to know you and continue to see you, I hope his comments haven’t changed your mind about us.”

Andy shakes his head no, “Not at all. Like I’ve told you before, I don’t care what Reese says or does anymore. That part of my life is in the past.”

“Good, then we shouldn’t talk about it anymore,” Craig grins at him. “I was just about to get off shift, your timing is perfect.”

“Oh yea?” Andy replies to him. “Did you have any plans for the day?”

Craig looks at him before he comes up to Andy. He kisses Andy passionately and Andy responds. They part ways and Craig looks at him, “Can I be honest with you?”

“Of course you can,” Andy responds with a slight grin on his face.

“I haven’t been able to get how good you looked in that tux on New Years out of my mind,” Craig confesses to him as he leans in and gives him another kiss on the lips.

“I do remember you mentioning that before,” Andy grins back to him in between kisses. He kisses Craig hard again and puts his hand down to Craig’s crotch. “Wow, looks like you’ve been thinking about it a lot.”

“You have no idea,” Craig says looking into his eyes. “I want you.”

“I want you too,” Andy replies to him.

Craig walks over to his office door and locks it quickly. He turns back with a grin on his face and rushes back to Andy and kisses him hard again. “I can’t wait any more. I have to have to you Andy,” he says as they kiss and start to feel each other all over.

Scene Seven - Twin Peaks Police Department; The Holding Cells

Donovan looks up as he enters the long walkway to which he will be in the visitors center of the jail. There’s grey cement every where and the most horrendous over head lighting that he has ever seen before in his life. He walks slowly and can feel a cold, damp feeling in the walkway. He can hear some of the cell mates on the other side of the wall calling out for the guard to pay attention to them. He hasn’t seen anyone, yet, but he isn’t sure that he wants too see any one in these cells.

The guard stops him as they reach one final door, “Are you ready?”

Donovan doesn’t think, he just nods his head yes and the guard opens the door. Donovan enters another room that doesn’t look much better than the hallway he was in. He sees his father sitting at a desk with plexi-glass between them. He slowly moves over to the desk and sits down. He picks up the telephone and looks at his father.

“I knew you’d come son,” Ernesto says into the receiver of the telephone. “You were the only one of the family that never betrayed me.”

Donovan looks at his father and feels his eyes swell with water. He puts his head down and tries to compose himself.

“Donovan, my boy, what’s wrong? Please don’t cry, you know that I won’t be in jail for a very long time,” Ernesto tells his son, whom he can see is visibly distract. “This is all a misunderstanding.”

“I don’t care how long you’re in jail,” Donovan finally says as he tries to compose himself. “Marbella, she told me everything you did to her. I …” he begins to tell his father. “I don’t know how you sleep at night. How could you do that to your own child? Your own daughter?”

“You don’t know what you’re talking about!” Ernesto quickly snaps back at his son. “Marbella has filled your head with lies.”

“She went to therapy Dad! She had this disorder because of what you did to her,” Donovan replies to him, finally making eye contact with his father. “Do you know what you’ve done to her? What you’ve done to his family!? You made our mother want to run away from us because you continued to abuse her so much! You lead us to believe she was dead! And Marbella … My God … you’re a monster!”

“Your mother made her own choices,” Ernest replies in a stern voice. “Don’t blame me for her abandoning you and Marbella. She could have stayed if she wanted too.”

“You didn’t give her a choice, did you Dad?” Donovan snaps back at him. “You know, I actually wish that I had suffered some kind of abuse from you because then maybe they wouldn’t have had to endure so much from you.”

“I would never hurt you.”

Donovan laughs, “But you would hurt your wife, the mother of your children and your daughter? You know what … you’re despicable! You’re absolutely disgusting and I will do whatever I can to make sure that you spend the rest of your life in this jail cell!”

“It won’t be long before I’m out Donovan!” Ernest yells back to his son as Donovan slams the phone down.

He stands up and prepares to walk away but he picks up the phone one more time and looks at his father, who is still sitting across from him. “I never want to see you again. I’m done with you Dad!”

Ernesto watches as Donovan walks out of the room. He gets a grin on his face as he hangs up the phone and stands up. As he goes, a guard quickly comes over to him and starts to walk him back to his jail cell.

Scene Eight - The Tower’s; Floor Eight; Eva’s Condo

Eva rushes to the door when she hears a knock on the door. She feels her heart skip a beat thinking that maybe either Donovan or Victoria are at her door to reach out to her. She hopes that they will listen to her and understand why she ran when she did. She opens the door and is surprised to see Will standing on the other side of the door.

“Will?” she gasps as she feels her heart race even faster as she didn’t expect him to reach out to her first. “I wasn’t expecting you, and why didn’t you use your key?”

Will enters the condo as Eva closes the door behind him. “I came to give you key back and to grab some of my things,” he reveals to her as she feels heart sink.

“You don’t have to give me back your key Will,” she tells him back quickly. “I believe we will work this out. You just have to listen to me, you just have to hear me out.”

“Eva, you don’t get it,” Will tells her, irritated that she thinks everything will be easily put back to normal with their relationship. “You’ve lied to me for as long as we’ve been together. How many times did I ask you to reveal all of your past to me? And how many times did I hear that there was nothing else to tell? Once trust is gone, it’s hard to get back.”

“But you love me! And I love you, shouldn’t that be all that matters?” Eva pleads with him, as tears form in her eyes.

“I do love you,” he tells her and he puts his hand over his eyes. “More than you’ll ever know.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

Will looks at her and puts his hand into his pocket. He pulls out a black box and opens it revealing a diamond ring.

“What’s this?” Eva asks shocked by the ring in front of her.

“It’s a ring,” Will reveals to her. “I was going to ask you to marry me on New Year’s Eve.”

Eva feels her heart break inside her chest, “Oh Will.”

He snaps the box shut and puts it in his pocket again, “It can’t happen now. I don’t even know who you are for crying out loud!”

“Just let me explain Will, please,” Eva begs him as tears fall from her face.

“Maybe in time Eva, right now I just need to get some of my things and I need to have space from you. Please understand that and please respect that.”

Eva watches as he walks out of the room. She walks over to the sofa and starts to cry wondering if anyone in her life will ever be able to forgive her for the things that she did in what seems like a past life.
