Scene One - The Glubbs House; Shane’s Home

“Are you sure you’re okay? You look upset about something,” Shane asks Natasha as they sit at the dinning room table eating a late dinner together. Shane was at work most of the day dealing with Adam’s recent shooting so he was looking forward to sitting down and catching up with Natasha. He knows that she has been going through a rough time lately because Bob’s new relationship with Kim was revealed at the recent Blooming Rose launch. He isn’t sure what to make of the relationship, but he can understand why Natasha would feel betrayed by Bob and Kim’s romance. He also knows that everyone involved is an adult and he hopes that Natasha can try to accept that her best friend and father have found a connection together. More over, he wants to be there for his lover.

Natasha takes a bite of her salad and continues to look at the food in front of her. She thinks back to earlier in the day when Robbie visited her at the guest house on the Calimo grounds and he told his sister that they should try to be the bigger people and accept Bob and Kim’s romance for what it is. She doesn’t know how to move on from the fact that Kim, her supposed best friend, is sleeping with her father. Not only that, but Sofia has only been gone for a few short months. She can’t understand why Kim would hurt her the way she has and why Bob would want to move on from his wife so quickly after her death. With her current relationship with Kim, she doesn’t think she will get the answers she is looking for.

“I don’t want to talk about it,” she finally says back to him as she takes another bite of her food, hoping to avoid the topic.

“Did something happen with Bob and Kim?” he asks her, looking at her as he tries to read what’s going on with her. Usually he has a good read on Natasha, but today something isn’t sitting well with him.

Natasha finally looks up at him and sighs, “Robbie came to see me earlier today.”

“And?”

“He told me that we should try to rise above my father and Kim and pretend that we are okay with their relationship. He suspects that the relationship will run it’s course and it will soon be over,” she recalls her conversation with Robbie to him.

Shane shrugs his shoulders, “I sense you don’t believe the same.”

“I don’t know what to believe. I still can’t believe that this is happening! I mean, what are they thinking?” she asks him, hoping that he will have some answers even though she knows that the only two people that could give her any kind of answer are Bob and Kim themselves.

“I know you’re hurting and I understand that,” he says back to her, hoping that he can make her feel better about the situation. “But you know, I agree with Robbie. If you act like you’re okay with everything, there won’t be this tension. I don’t think this,” he pauses as he searches for the right word to use. “Fling will last very long. Your father is still grieving. Once reality sets back in for him, I’m sure he will come to his senses.”

Natasha’s eyes lock with his, “You realize that my friendship with Kim will never be the same, don’t you?”

“I do,” he quickly replies to her continuing to be sympathetic. “That’s a discussion for you and Kim to have though. You just have to know that I’m here to support you. All the way.”

She smiles a little at him glad that he is there for you, “I don’t deserve you.”

“Yes you do. And I deserve you. It took us awhile to realize that, but it’s nice to know that we found each other again.”

“I love you Shane,” she says back to him, glad that he was able to make her feel somewhat better about things. At the very least, she knows that her personal life is finally going well. She can worry about everything else later.

Scene Two - Pampa Grill

Trenyce opens the front door to the restaurant and sees Donovan standing inside already. She smiles as she approaches him as she is excited that he asked her out on a date to celebrate the successful launch of the Blooming Rose. She can’t help but notice how attractive he is as he is stands and waits for her. He’s wear a form fitting sweater that shows his pecs underneath beautifully and a nice pair of jeans. He turns and looks at her and smiles as she approaches him.

“Wow, you look fantastic,” he comments as she approaches him in a short, pink dress and heels. “I’m so happy to see you.”

Trenyce hugs him and smells his cologne, which is a nice musk scent. “I’m glad we were able to go out together,” she says to him as they exit their embrace. “And thank you.”

The hostess shows them to their table and they sit down. Soon, a bottle of white wine is brought to them and they each have a glass in front of them.

“I am going to propose a toast,” he says looking at her as they both pick up their wine glasses. “To making a good team.”

Trenyce smiles as she looks deeply into his dark eyes, “To making a good team,” she repeats his toast as they cheers each other. They both take a drink of their wine and continue to look at each other. “I really am glad that we could go out together. What do you think of the restaurant? You said it was your first time here.”

Donovan smiles back at her and looks around, “So far so good. I’ve heard that it’s one of the best restaurants in town.”

“I would agree. I’ve had some great moments here,” she tells him. “Of course, having a small son I don’t get to come here that often. It’s not so kid-friendly.”

Donovan nods, “I can see that. What is it like, being a mother so young?”

Trenyce sighs, “It’s the most wonderful thing in the world, if I am honest with you. I absolutely love Andrew with every ounce of my being,” she tells him, her heart warming at the thought of her baby.

“That’s sweet. It’s nice to see a parent that clearly loves her child. I admire that about you Trenyce,” he tells her as he briefly thinks of his own situation. “It’s not often you see a woman your age that is successful as both a mother and in the board room.”

“Thank you, I appreciate that,” Trenyce says feeling her face blush a little. “What about you? Do you want children one day?”

Donovan sighs and takes another drink of his wine, “Honestly? I don’t know. I’d have to find the right person first and be very settled. I don’t want to rush into anything.”

“That makes sense. Sometimes it’s nice to have that freedom to do whatever you want. I guess the downside of Andrew is that I don’t always have that freedom.”

“I get that, but being there for your child is so admirable.”

“Once you have a child, there’s nothing else that matters,” she tells him. “What else do you like doing outside of work?”

“I’m pretty easy going. I like going for dinner, movies, walks, you know … normal stuff, even though sometimes my family dramas make me feel weird,” he says with a chuckle.

“Do you have drama with Victoria?”

He shakes his head, “No, but my parents have left us with some baggage. It’s probably not the most appropriate time to talk about that.”

“Okay, I don’t want to pry or anything,” Trenyce says back to him. “But I know all about family drama. One day, I’ll have to fill you in on all the drama that has gone down with my Aunt Daisy, Chris and I.”

“You know what,” he suddenly tells her as he grabs her hand from across the table. “I really like you’re company. I feel like we have a lot in common and it’s nice to get out of the apartment.”

Trenyce looks down at their hands touching and gulps before she looks up at him. “I’m glad. I enjoy your company too.”

Scene Three - The Park

Reese slowly walks through the park as he looks at the leaves turning colours on the trees. Autumn is definitely in the air in Twin Peaks, but Reese doesn’t mind as he actually loves the season and all the bright colours on the trees. He wonders what he should do next with his life and his career as he walks. He knows that his role in the launch of the Blooming Rose was key and it was a huge success, but he hopes that there isn’t any backlash from the nasty article that the Sun released about him claiming that he was a home wrecker. He still believes that it was either Andy or JC that leaked the story; who else would do that to him? Both of them denied it when he questioned them, but he still can’t rack his brain around who would know all of these details of his affair with Andy. The more he thinks about it, the more he realizes that it must have been either Andy or JC that leaked it and it makes him sick to his stomach. He can’t believe that he was ever involved with Andy again and he has no use for JC. Not anymore, not after this.

As he turns the corner, he sees Dean walking towards him holding a large to go cup from the Sugarbowl. Dean immediately sees Reese and pulls his IPOD headphones out and smiles as he approaches his model. He knows that they have been flirting a lot more lately and he has enjoyed it. He is wildly attracted to Reese, and who wouldn’t be? The young model is very good looking

“Hey,” Dean says as Reese comes up to him, happy to randomly bump into him.

“Dean, what’s up? Looks like we had the same idea for a walk.”

“Totally, it’s a beautiful night. I wanted to get some air,” Dean says, looking at Reese with lust in his eyes.

“If I had your number I would have invited you to join me on my walk,” Reese winks over at him, continuing to flirt with him. “Seriously, how have you been? I haven’t seen much of you since the launch.”

Dean nods, “Yea, been busy. I think we’ll have another shoot soon. There’s always a re-release of perfumes and colognes for Christmas. I’m sure Dominick will want to use you and Robin again.”

“That sounds sweet,” Reese replies, trying to play it cool with the photographer. “What about outside of work? Do you think we could ever hang out?”

Dean smiles and moves a little closer to Reese, “I’d like that a lot actually.”

“Awesome, let’s plan something?”

“One small problem,” Dean replies quickly looking down. Reese arches his eye brow before Dean looks back up at him. “I have a boyfriend. I don’t think he’d like the fact that I’m hanging out with my very hot model.”

Reese laughs a little feeling a little embarrassed. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know. I get it though.”

“If I was single, I’d be so game for that,” Dean replies to him moving closer. Reese stops grinning when Dean is thin close to him. Dean leans in and gives him a quick kiss before moving back. “Sorry. I’ve wanted to do that for some time. I should go though, before I get into real trouble.”

Reese watches as the photographer walks away from him. Reese feels his heart skip a beat but as he watches Dean walk away, he scolds himself. He shakes his head and turns around. “Why are all the men I’m attracted to taken?” he asks himself as he wonders what just happened and why he always seems to attracts the same type of men.

Scene Four - The Cascade Apartments, Apartment 202; Andy & JC’s Home

JC paces around the living room wondering if and when he will hear from Andy again. Since Andy stormed out of the apartment a few days earlier after he learned the truth that JC was the one that leaked the story of Reese to the Sun, JC hasn’t heard from his boyfriend. He can understand why Andy would be upset with him as he lied about his involvement with the article for a few days before he finally admitted the truth. JC doesn’t know how he can make this up to his boyfriend, especially after everything they had been through to get back together.

“I have to do something,” JC finally says to himself as he looks out the small window of the apartment. “But what? What can I say or do that will make Andy come home to me?”

Before he can think of anything else to do, he hears a key in the key hole and the door slowly opens. JC looks at the opening door and sees Andy walk into the apartment. “Andy, I wasn’t expecting you,” JC admits to his boyfriend as he comes into the apartment, trying to retain his excitement that Andy is back.

Andy doesn’t look up to see his boyfriend. “I am staying at Kim’s and I needed some more clothes. I just came to get some things.”

JC walks up to his boyfriend and grabs his hand. Andy finally looks at him in the eyes. “Can’t we talk about this? Nothing will get better if we don’t have communication.”

“What do you want to talk about JC? That you lied to me? How am I supposed to look beyond that?” Andy asks him, knowing that he doesn’t know how to move on from the fact that his boyfriend looked him in the face and lied to him over and over again.

“What about you? You did the same thing to me!” JC quickly replies to him trying to defend his actions. “I asked you over and over if anything was going on with you and Reese and you said no! Meanwhile, you fucked him!”

Andy rolls his eyes. “You know what JC? That’s the problem with this! The day at the airport, when I begged you not to leave town and give us another chance? You agreed! That means that you forgave me for my affair with Reese. That means we were starting something new. Something fresh. Something that didn’t include Reese in our relationship. And guess what? You went and threw him back into the middle of us. You did that, not me!”

JC sighs and moves away from his boyfriend. Andy quickly walks into the bedroom and starts collecting some of his clothing and places it into a duffle bag. “So what does that mean for us?” JC asks him as he comes into the bedroom behind Andy.

Andy doesn’t look back, “I don’t know where that leaves JC. All I know is that I need time away from you. I need to clear my head.”

“Great,” JC replies walking out of the bedroom. “Take all the fucking time you need.”

Scene Five - City Hall; Daisy’s Office

Vinny opens the door to Daisy’s office slowly and looks inside. He sees her sitting at her desk deep in thought over some files that she is working on in front of her. He can’t help but think back to the other day when he overheard Greta leaving Chris a voicemail thanking him for a time that they shared together. He still doesn’t know what the time was or means to either of them, but he did confront Chris about it. As he expected, Chris gave nothing away to Vinny and told him to butt out of his life. As he looks at Daisy, he knows that he owes her a lot for his current life style. Daisy played a key role in helping him escape Brett and Dave’s clutches and she has given him in his job. He feels a closeness to her and he doesn’t want to see her get hurt. He knows that she has a soft spot for her ex-husband and only hopes that Chris isn’t going to betray her again. He has this uneasy feeling that Chris and Greta are hiding something from Daisy, and if it’s what he thinks it is, he knows he has to do something to prevent Daisy from getting hurt again.

“Am I interrupting?” he asks to her as he fully enters the office and shuts the door behind him.

Daisy looks up from her paper work and smiles when she sees Vinny. “Not at all,” she says as she continues to look at him. “This is actually perfect timing because I was just going over our case for city council for the new bridge. I would love your input so we can be on the same page when we meet this week with the council.”

Vinny walks towards her and sits in the chair across from him as she passes the file so he can read what it says. He looks over it quickly and then looks up at her, “I like this. The fact that we are making the planning department to come up with a real design is awesome. We don’t want to settle for just any old bridge,” he tells her as he looks at her with intent.

“What’s going on? You seem like something is on your mind. I can tell by the way you’re looking at me,” she observes him back noting that he’s looking at her seriously.

Vinny sighs and looks at his friend and boss, “I do have something on my mind and I think I should talk to you about it, but I don’t know how you’ll react.”

Daisy arches his eyebrow and doesn’t know what he could possibly mean. “What? Just talk to me Vinny. I’m ready for anything you have to tell me.”

“Okay,” Vinny tells her, bracing himself for telling her what he suspects. “The other day I was working in here, you were away on your business trip.”

“Yea, I know. Greta told me that you left he office. I’m not mad or anything. I understand that you need to use my office sometimes,” Daisy smiles, thinking that he feels bad for using her office without asking her.

“It’s not that,” Vinny tells her quickly. “When I was getting ready to leave, I over heard something.”

“What did you over hear?”

“Greta was at her desk and she was leaving Chris a voicemail. She was thanking him for something,” he tells her as he recalls the conversation in his head. “I asked Chris what was going on and he practically exploded at me and told me to mind my own business.”

Daisy looks at him, not sure what he is getting at with his storyline.

“Daisy, I know that you and Chris have been growing closer lately, but I think something may be going on with him and Greta,” he finally reveals to a stunned Daisy, who doesn’t know what to think.

“What?” she asks shocked that he would even suggest such a thing to her. “You must be mistaken Vinny. Chris and I have been getting closer lately and Greta, my goodness, she’s my best friend and has been my assistant for years. She would never cross that line with Chris. You must be mistaken!”

Vinny looks at Daisy as she is seemingly getting tears in her eyes. He knows that he upset her with his theory, “You’re right, I must have got my signals crossed. I’m sorry that I brought it up.” The last thing he wants to do is upset her.

“It’s okay,” she nods back to him. “I just know them. I can’t imagine that they would go down that path. You know?”

Vinny nods back to her, hoping to God that she’s right and he’s not on the right track. He also knows that he has to find out the truth; for her sake.

Scene Six - The Cascade Apartments, Apartment 406; Greta’s Home

Greta opens the door when she hears a knock and sees Chris on the other side. He quickly enters the apartment as she shuts the door. He feels uneasy about going over to see Greta when he knows that Andy lives in the same apartment as Greta does. If he or JC ever saw him there, it may lead to questions that he doesn’t want to have to answer to Daisy or Trenyce. As he turns around and looks at Greta, he wonders if he should try to dump her now before things get more serious between them. After he and Daisy shared a kiss recently, he hopes that they could possibly have a future together. He knows that one obstacle in his way is Greta and sleeping with her was a huge mistake.

“I’m glad you could come over,” Greta tells him, feeling somewhat cool towards him. While she can’t deny that she is attracted to him and would love to be in a relationship with him, she can’t help but remember Daisy telling her that he recently kissed Daisy. Greta refuses to be played for a fool and if that’s what Chris thinks he will do, he has another thing coming. She will not settle for that.

“I think we both had some unfinished business,” he says back to her, trying to stay cool about ending their relationship.

“We do indeed,” she quickly replies to him. “I learned something the other day that I wanted to ask you about.”

“Shoot.”

“Why did you kiss Daisy?” she asks him as she puts her hands on her hips. “We made love Chris! Why the hell would you go and kiss your ex-wife?”

Chris gulps and looks at her knowing that this conversation would have to happen eventually. “I… I didn’t mean for it to happen Greta. She kissed me, for starters. I was taken a back, but it happened.”

“That’s all you gotta say? It happened? Come on Chris, I know the history between you and Daisy. What is going on? You want her?” Greta asks, knowing that she won’t be the second woman in Chris’ life. “If you do, fine, but I won’t be played for some fool, you hear me?”

Chris shakes his head, “I don’t know Greta. I don’t know.”

“Let me make it clear,” she replies as she peels off her black dress to reveal some sexy, red lace underwear to Chris, who suddenly can’t take his eyes off her. “I want you to leave Daisy and be with me. Does that sound like a good idea?”

Chris can’t stop looking at the sexy woman in front of him. He doesn’t respond when she comes up and kisses him passionately. “Let’s forget everything and just focus on us,” she says in between kisses as she starts to undress him. He kisses her passionately. “Oh Chris,” she whispers. “Make love to me. I will make you forget about her.”
