Scene One - City Hall; Daisy’s Office

Daisy looks out of her office window that overlooks most of the downtown of Twin Peaks lost in thought about the other day at her house when Chris had kissed her and she slapped him hard because she realized that he was only coming on to her because Victoria had dumped him. A few months ago, she believed that perhaps there was a possibility that she and Chris may have a chance to get back together, but that is long gone from her mind now. She can’t believe he had the gull to try to move on to her so quickly after Victoria dumped him because it should have been over between him and Victoria as soon as she married Vinny. She shakes her head and realizes that Chris is still the same man he was when they were married and a part of her feels sad by that. After all that they had gone through, she had hoped that he had learned and grew up a little. She will not be his second fiddle again.

She turns around from the window and walks back to her desk. She sits down and looks at some of the files she has at her desk. “There’s no point in wasting my time thinking about that now,” she tells herself as she puts one of the files closer to her. She hears her office door open and turns to see Vinny entering the office. “Vinny, what can I do for you?”

Vinny gets a devilish grin on his face as he walks up to her desk, “I have a proposition for you,” he informs her, hoping that she will hear him out.

Daisy arches her eyebrow and offers Vinny a seat across from her. “I’m listening.”

“I think you should hire me,” he reveals to her as Daisy gets a surprised look on her face. “I can tell that you’re surprised, but hear me out.”

“I am surprised. It’s not often that the mayor hires her competition in the election,” she replies to him, shocked that he suggested it.

“It was a very close election Daisy. We were neck and neck the entire time. The public loves both of us. Plus, I have a lot of great ideas to help improve this city. I think we would be a great team,” he tells her, hoping that she’ll agree to give him a position.

“Why now? The election ended months ago Vinny. Why all of a sudden do you want to work for me?”

Vinny sighs and looks at his friend. “Honestly Daisy? I’m trying to put my life together. The last year has been so up and down for me getting out of the cage that my brothers had locked me in for so long. Not to mention my marriage to Victoria in Vegas. I’m tired of being so impulsive; I want to do something with my life, and this is a great start for me,” he tells her.

Daisy looks at her friend and honestly believes that he’s telling her the truth about wanting to turn his life around. Part of her wishes that Chris would be more like Vinny and learn and grow from past experiences. She is proud of him for reallizing that he needs to make a change in his life and she can’t deny that the election race was very, very close. She nods and smiles having come to a conclusion, “I’ll give you a job here Vinny. I think we will be a good team together.”

Vinny gets a huge grin on his face, “Thank you so much! You won’t regret this, I promise you!”

Scene Two - The Sugarbowl

Chris enters the coffeehouse and quickly walks to the line up to grab his coffee for the day before he heads into the office. He hates going to the Roboto cafeteria because it doesn’t serve as good as coffee as the Sugarbowl, so he usually stops on his way into work. And he knows that he will be putting in long hours today because Bob has the entire team working over time on working with the new launch the new line that will compete with Dominick’s line. Bob has really cracked the whip, but he doesn’t mind as it keeps him busy since he his personal life isn’t going so well.

He finally gets to order his coffee and as he walks over to the coffee bar to place his sugar and cream in there, he feels a tap on his shoulder. He turns around and sees Greta standing behind him with a grin on her face. He quickly recalls the last time they saw each other when he thought that maybe she was flirting with him as she was calling Victoria and Daisy fools for not taking him back. “Hey Greta, I’m surprised you’re not at work already.”

Greta continues to smile at him, enjoying their recent talks, “Oh, I’ve been to the office already. I’m just on a caffeine break. Girl needs something to keep her going with the long hours.”

Chris laughs a little, “Yea, I hear ya. I’m on my way in to the office now. Should be a long day.”

“And don’t tell me you’re about to ruin that black goodness by adding cream and sugar!” she scolds him in a teasing manner.

“I was just going to add a touch of both,” he admits to her. “I take it you take your coffee black.”

“I like a lot of things black and strong,” she winks at him, not able to help flirting with him again as she can’t help but be attracted to the man in front of her.

Chris arches his eyebrow and looks at her, “I’m sure there are a lot of things you like that fall under those categories. Look, I’d love to stay and chat, but I have to get to the office. We should hang out or something soon?”

“I’d like that a lot,” Greta grins at him as he begins to walk off. She turns and watches him exit knowing that she is walking on thin ice flirting so heavily with her best friend’s ex. She knows that Daisy would probably be devastated if she learned what was going on, but Greta keeps telling herself that Daisy ended things with Chris so he is on the market and if she wants to pursue she should. And when she looks at Chris, she knows that she wants to pursue it.

Scene Three - Robertson Enterprises, Dominick’s Office

Dominick sits at his office and reviews some more documents surrounding his new ad campaign and perfume launch that is coming in about a month’s time. With the tight time frame, he is starting to feel the pressure of making sure everything is complete and ready to go. He can not lose this new corporate battle that he and Bob have declared on each other; so much is riding on this launch, not only does he want his company to succeed but he also wants to prove himself to Sofia and that his love for her was real and true. By beating Bob in his launch, he knows that he will prove that his feelings for Sofia were the real deal and that she felt the same for him.

“I have to make this launch successful,” he tells himself as he holds up the mocks and looks at them again.

“Talking to yourself?” Donovan asks as he opens the door and enters the office with a slight grin on his face. He doesn’t usually call his employer out on talking to themselves, but he thought he would slightly test the waters with Dominick, whom has always seemed easy going.

Dominick laughs slightly at Donovan’s question as the young man sits in front of him. “I was just saying how I am determined to make this fashion show a huge success.”

“Why wouldn’t it be Dominick? We have all of our eggs in a row. Nothing can really go wrong at this point?” Donovan tries to reassure him.

Dominick leans back in his chair and sighs heavily. “I wish I had your optimism. I’ve been around Bob Calimo far too long to know that he won’t try something, anything, to ruin the launch of Blooming Rose.”

Donovan nods his head, “Have you thought about beating him at his own game?”

Dominick leans forward interested in the young executive’s response to him. “What are you suggesting Mr. Moretti?”

“If there was some kind of scandal surrounding Bob or Roboto and it was made public, anything he tried to do to sabotage the fashion show could potentially be over shadowed,” Donovan tells his boss, having done similar things in Europe. “I have no idea what kind of scandal there could be with Bob Calimo, but anything could be better than nothing.”

Dominick smiles thinking about Donovan’s suggestion. “You know, I like that idea. It really is more of a matter of finding this scandal and making it public knowledge.” Now all Dominick has to do is uncover a scandal. He isn’t sure what it would or could be, but he knows that he will dig for one. Anything to ensure that the Blooming Rose is a success; his company, and his love for Sofia is riding on it.

Scene Four - Roboto; Bob’s Office

Bob sits at his desk and is reviewing files from Leah’s recent business trip to Boston where he sent her to hire a new chemist since Robin quit to go work for her father, Dominick, at Robertson Enterprises. As he reads the files, he can’t help but think back to the other day at his mansion when Kim surprised him. She had showed up to talk to him about the kiss that they shared the previous time that they had seen each other and instead of talking about it, the two of them ended up in bed and made love. Now that he’s had time to process everything that has happened, he thinks that it’s a wonderful addition to his life. He has never had to be alone and in the months following Sofia’s death, he never felt more alone in his life. Having Kim around has been so welcoming and such a nice addition to his every day life. He still loves Sofia with all of his heart, nothing will ever change that, but the fact that he is moving on is something that he truly believes Sofia would be alright with that. She shouldn’t want him mourning forever and ever. She would want him to pick himself up and continue to live his life. Plus, it’s not like and Kim are in a serious relationship. They just made love and for all he knows, she will never want to have that kind of encounter again. But he hopes not.

He shakes his head and tells himself to focus on the files in front of him. He can’t continue to dwell on his personal status while he is running a company, especially because he is in a desperate fight with Dominick with his new launch. He knows that he has to up his game at Roboto to compete.

He opens his laptop to start making some official notes on Leah’s file and he sees his dated Roboto webpage, which automatically opens when he starts his computer. He shakes his head and realizes that the website will need a complete make over to truly compete with Dominick’s new, innovated website.

Suddenly he gets an idea, but he knows that it probably wouldn’t sit well with members of his family. He shakes his head, “I can’t let them be my main focus right now,” he mumbles to himself as he picks up his phone. “I have to worry about Roboto and keeping it number one in the industry.”

He dials a number and soon hears a voice on the other end of the telephone. “I’d like to speak to Jeff Claus please,” he says into the receiver. “Jeff? This is Bob Calimo,” he continues. “Yes, I’m fine and thank you. We all miss Sofia each and every day. Listen the reason I’m calling is because I have a proposition for you, I’d like to hire you at Roboto, starting immediately.”

Scene Five - The Calimo House; Robbie, Leah & Paige’s Home

Leah opens the door to her house and looks around. She feels her heart warm at the sight of the familiar setting. Having been gone for a couple weeks to Boston seemed like forever. While she enters the living room and she sees pictures of her and Robbie and other members of her family, she feels like she is really home and she is so blessed. Of course, she can’t help but recall of her time in Boston, especially when she saw Jeff unexpectedly. She quickly realizes that she won’t tell Robbie about the visit because she doesn’t want to upset him, but it was so good to see her ex-husband. This past February was the first time since Noah died that she and Jeff didn’t speak on the anniversary of his death and she didn’t realize how much it had impacted her until she saw him. Being in his arms again when they hugged felt more amazing than she can describe. She has gotten over any feelings that she has for him, but she still feels a connection to him that she can’t explain, other than the fact that there’s a bond between two people that have shared a child and lost that child together. She closes her eyes and knows that she’s doing the worst possible thing she could do and keep Jeff away from Paige, because he is her biological father.

“You’re home!” Robbie announces as he enters the living room and spots his wife.

Leah turns around and sees her husband standing in front of her. With tears streaming down her face, she rushes over to him and hugs him tightly. She loves him more than anything else in the world. She wouldn’t be keeping such a horrible secret if she didn’t.

“Hey, why the tears?” he asks her as he holds her closely to him.

“I just missed you. Being away from you guys made me realize how much I love you and I love Paige. I never want to be apart from you guys again,” she tells him as she dries her eyes.

“You never have to be Leah. I love you so much,” he says as he leans in and kisses her passionately. “And I’ve missed you so much.”

“I’ve missed you too,” she whispers in between kisses. “Make love to me Robbie,” she tells him as he picks her up and carries her upstairs to the bedroom. “I need to fill close to you again.”

Scene Six - City Hall; Daisy’s Office

Greta opens the door to Daisy’s office and sees her boss sitting at her desk. She walks up to the desk and places the coffee that she bought Daisy on her desk. Daisy looks over and smiles at Greta.

“Thanks,” she smiles as she grabs the coffee and takes a sip. “Goodness, I need this today. It feels like the longest day we’ve had in a long time.”

“You’re telling me,” Greta quickly replies as she takes a drink of her coffee as she tries to focus on her mind back on the working day at hand instead of Chris and how good he looked in his form fitting dress pants earlier in the morning.

“Are you okay?” Daisy asks her friend noticing that she’s acting a bit odd, knowing that she tends to be a little bit more chatty, especially after a caffeine fix.

“I’m fine,” Greta snaps replies again. She walks towards Daisy’s office door, “I’ll be at my desk if you need anything.”

Daisy arches her eyebrow and leans back in her chair as Greta closes the door. “Well that was odd,” she says to herself wondering what’s going on with her friend. It’s not like Greta to be so short with her. Daisy wonders if something more is going with her, something outside of work.

Scene Seven - The Sugarbowl

Trenyce pops her head into the coffeehouse as she is on her way to Robertson Enterprises to go over the final details of the fashion show with Dominick and Donovan. She is so excited that everything is coming together. She stops when she sees a newspaper on one of the tables with the headline of Mallory’s death. She picks up the paper and quickly reads the article as tears fill her eyes. While she can’t fully blame Mallory for her eating disorder, she knows that Mallory was a huge part of the issue by always taking digs at Trenyce’s weight. Still, she never wanted anything bad to happen to Mallory, especially because she has turned her life around. She only wished that her former classmate was as fortunate. As Trenyce puts the paper back down on the table, she suddenly feels blessed that she has such a wonderful support system around her.

She turns to go in line to get her coffee when she spots JC in the corner of the coffeehouse drinking a tea by himself. Trenyce’s mind goes back to the other day when Reese admitted to her that he and Andy had slept together last winter and Reese confessed all to JC recently. Trenyce has always wanted her two best friends to get back together, but she never wanted JC to get hurt in the process. Now it seems like JC has been hurt and Andy and Reese will not get back together. She sighs and walks over to JC’s table. “Hey, can I sit with you?”

JC looks up at Trenyce and feels his heart sink. The last thing he wants is for a friend to give him a ton of sympathy. He would rather just be alone and not have to deal with anyone or anything surrounding his break up with Andy. At the same time, he doesn’t want to be rude as he knows that Trenyce is just trying to help. “Sure T. How are you?”

Trenyce sits across from him, “I’m good. Therapy is going well,” she tells him, starting the conversation off with herself instead of jumping down his throat about the affair. “And it’s nice that I’m working now. It’s exciting and challenging all at the same time.”

“That’s great,” JC replies to her. “Sorry if I am distracted, it’s been a rough couple of days.”

“I know. I heard about Andy and Reese. I’m so sorry JC. If there’s anything I can do,” Trenyce offers her friend support.

“There’s nothing you can do. There’s nothing anyone can do,” he replies quickly back to her.

Trenyce grabs his hand, “Do you remember that day you met me in the bus station?” she asks him recalling a past time together as he nods his head. “I was going to run away with Andrew right before Chris took me to court for custody. You found me and supported me and helped me in a time when I didn’t think anyone cared. Please know that I’m here for you the way you were there for me.”

JC smiles at her, “Thanks. I suppose I should tell you what my plan is then,” he reveals to her as she arches her eyebrow. “I’m leaving town tomorrow. I don’t think I can stay in the same town as Andy and pretend that everything is okay when everything is not okay.”

“Where will you go? You know you don’t have to run.”

“I’m not running Trenyce. I’m just not able to stay in the same city as Andy. I’ve given him so much of myself, I can’t stay and be around him anymore. Not after what he has done. It’s just too painful.”

Trenyce nods and realizing what JC is saying makes sense to her. “Promise me one thing?” she asks as their eyes locks. “Keep in touch okay?”

Scene Eight - The Park

Andy walks through the park trying to clear his head. He has so much on his mind right now because JC has dumped him and moved out of their apartment. He can’t believe that his has happened as things had been going so well for the two of them since he recommitted himself to his boyfriend. He doesn’t understand how or why Reese would reveal the truth about their affair now, especially since Reese has made it clear that they don’t have a future together. Andy tries to think of something, anything, that he can say or do that will make JC change his mind and give them another chance. “Maybe all he needs is time,” he whispers to himself as he continues his walk.

As he turns a corner on the pathway, he spots Reese walking towards him. At first, Andy thinks about ignoring his ex, but he just isn’t able too. He needs some answers. “Can I talk to you for a second?” Andy asks him walking up to Reese, who is looking down at his Iphone replying to a text message.

Reese looks at Andy, “It’ll have to be fast, I’m on my way to work.”

“Why would you tell JC the truth about our affair? After all this time, are you purposely trying to hurt me?”

Reese rolls his eyes at Andy, so tired of everything always being about Andy. It was that way when they were dating years ago and nothing has changed. Andy’s turns around Andy and there’s always drama in it. It’s something Reese is beyond tired of. “Of course this is all about you Andy,” he quickly spits back at him. “No, I’m not trying to hurt you. JC came to me and asked me if anything happened between us. I wasn’t going to lie to him. Not after he asked me point blank.”

“Why would you do that? You’ve made it clear that we have no future together! Why couldn’t you just let JC and I be happy together?”

“I’m not going to live a lie Andy,” Reese continues to give it back to him. “Whatever you and JC had, it wasn’t real because you were not being honest with him. Now that the truth is out, you and JC can be as happy as you want.”

“He left me,” Andy reveals in a softer voice as his head drops. “He doesn’t want to be around me anymore because of our affair.”

“That’s not my fault. I’m not going to stand here and apologize for doing the right thing Andy. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to get to work,” Reese tells him as he starts to walk away from Andy.

Andy turns and watches Reese walk away from him. He is about to chase after him, but he decides to let it go. Maybe Reese is right, maybe now that the truth is out he and JC can make it work, he thinks to himself. But first, he has to make JC realize that the affair was a one time mistake and it will never happen again. He sighs and wonders if JC will even listen to him.
