Scene One -- The Cascade Apartments, Apartment 202; JC & Andy’s Home

Andy sits at the kitchen table typing quickly on his laptop as he is trying to work on his article for the Sun from home. He couldn’t finish it perfectly at the office earlier in the day, but he suddenly got motivated when he got back to the apartment. He looks over to the front door as he hears the keys turning to unlock the door. JC walks in and looks over at his boyfriend. “Hey, I didn’t think you’d be home,” he smiles to Andy, carrying a few reusable bags of groceries.

Andy keeps typing quickly, not wanting to lose his groove. “It’s weird, I couldn’t think of anything to write about at the office, but once I got home I got this motivation.”

JC sets some of his bags on the counter in the kitchen and starts putting away some of the groceries he picked up on his way home. “Whatever works, right? I was thinking of making my homemade meatballs tonight.”

“That sounds fantastic,” Andy responds as he types quickly. “I’m almost finished with this and I can help you put that away.”

“It’s okay, I got it Andy,” JC tells him as he finishes putting stuff away. “I do have something I want to discuss with you, though, when you’re finished.”

Andy arches his eyebrow as he pushes the save button his laptop and then closes it down. “I’m all ears. What’s going on babe?”

JC looks over at him and sighs a little. He knows he has to tell Andy about what he overheard at the coffeehouse the other day when he was there. He didn’t mean to eavesdrop on Trenyce and Reese’s conversation, but he did overhear Reese admit that he is still in love with Andy. He wants to believe that he can trust Andy because he has given him no reason not too, but a part of him still feels insecure because everyone has always told him that Andy and Reese were so great together. He doesn’t want to lose Andy when he just got him. “I was at the coffeehouse the other day and I saw Trenyce and Reese together.”

“Oh, did you say hi? That’s nice that they were able to catch up,” Andy says thinking of his two friends putting the past behind them.

“No, they didn’t see me,” JC replies quickly. “But I did happen to overhear part of their conversation while I was waiting for my coffee.”

“You were listening to them?” Andy asks a little surprised by JC’s admission.

“I didn’t mean too, honestly,” JC says looking at Andy now. “But I have to tell you what I overheard.”

“Okay…”

“Reese said he still loves you,” JC blurts out quickly. He immediately looks at Andy to see his reaction hoping that he’ll be able read Andy’s face.

Andy blushes quickly and looks away. Is what JC is saying true? Does Reese still love me? He asks himself as he feels his heart melt a little. No matter what, he will always have a soft spot in his heart for Reese; he was his first love after all. He looks back at JC and can see that he’s waiting on every second for Andy to respond. “Are you sure that’s what you heard?”

“I’m positive,” JC replies. “I know what I heard.”

Andy stands up and walks over to him and grabs JC’s hand. He pulls him into a hug. “I hope you don’t think that matters to me anymore,” Andy tells him wanting to reassure JC. He knows that while he may have a soft spot for Reese, his life is with JC now. He has fallen for him and they are living together. He isn’t going to drop all of that now because Reese is back in town.

“I don’t know what to think,” JC admits as they exit their embrace. “I was hoping you’d tell me.”

“I’m with you JC. I want to be with you. I want to live with you. I want to continue to build a relationship with you,” Andy says looking into his eyes.

“I love you Andy,” JC intervenes as he comes up and kisses Andy on the lips. Their lips part long enough for Andy to whisper.

“I love you too.” Andy closes his eyes and kisses JC hard again. He starts to walk JC backwards as they lead into the bedroom where JC falls on to the bed. Andy looks at him with lust in his eyes and takes off his shirt before he crawls on top of JC, kissing him again.

Scene Two -- Twin Peaks University, The Library

Trenyce enters the library of TPU and quickly finds a table to sit at. She sets her backpack down and pulls out a text book and a highlighter. She flips the pages and finds the chapter that she’s currently reading in class. She starts to read and highlight key parts of the chapter, but she finds herself getting distracted by the other on-goings in the library. It’s pretty quiet, as expected, except for one table in the corner by the large window. Three girls, that she recognizes her from one of her classes, are sitting together and talking. They all have their books open, but she doesn’t think they’re talking about school at all. They must be talking about their personal lives, cars, boys and shopping Trenyce suspects based on the giggles that keeps coming from them.

The girl that is sitting across from her two friends in particular fascinates Trenyce. She has long flowing red hair and is beautiful. She has so much confidence in her appearance and her attitude and in her fashion sense. Trenyce wishes she had the confidence that she displayed. Mallory, Trenyce suddenly remembers her name. Mallory Cunningham. Trenyce knows that she puts on a strong front but she is really insecure inside; about her weight, looks, education and even being a mother. Mallory isn’t like that. She comes across so put together.

“Go over and say hi,” Trenyce says to herself, not sure if she can go over to the seemingly popular girls and make the first move. She finally shuts her book and decides to go up to them. She walks over to the table and all three girls stop talking and look up at Trenyce. “Hey, I think you guys are in my textile class,” she smiles to them.

“Are we? I don’t think I saw you,” Mallory replies without looking up at Trenyce.

“Oh, I was sitting near the front.”

“Right, yea, I remember seeing you now. It was hard to miss you. Excuse us would you?” Mallory snaps, quickly standing up and walking off, her two friends following closely behind her.

Trenyce gulps as they walk off, wondering what she did wrong. She shrugs but then it dawns on her, what did she mean it was hard to miss me? She shakes her head, thinking that they’re bitches and not worth her time. Trenyce refuses to listen to TPU’s version of Mean Girls.

Scene Three -- Capers

Kim enters the busy restaurant and quickly spots her table waiting for her. She agreed to have lunch with Reese and Madeline because she knows that they still need to have support since they are still going through a rough time with their parents death. She thinks that the least she could do is give them a shoulder to lean on if they need it.

“Hey guys, sorry I’m late,” she says to the twin siblings as she sits down. “Did you guys order already?”

“Thanks for coming,” Reese smiles over to her. “We appreciate the fact that you could take the time to have lunch with us.”

“I just want you guys to know that I’m your friend and I hope you guys know that you can lean on me, whenever you’re having a bad day,” Kim responds to them before taking a drink of the white wine that they ordered.

“Thanks Kim, we really do appreciate that. Every day is seemingly getting a little better. I mean, I miss my parents a lot, but it’s getting more…” Madeline stops to think of the right word.

“Bearable?” Reese asks, jabbing his sister as he finishes her sentence.

“Yea, bearable.” Madeline laughs a little. “I actually wanted to tell you both something since you’re here.”

“Oh, sounds interesting,” Kim says leaning in a little.

“Jeff left town,” Madeline reveals as she takes a drink of her wine.

“What? Really?” Kim asks, stunned that her ex didn’t even stop and say goodbye before he left Twin Peaks. “I didn’t realize he was thinking of leaving.”

“It’s pretty recent like within the last few days. After Leah had Paige, I think he realized that she was committed to Robbie and he couldn’t take it. He thought it was too painful to stay in town,” Madeline recounts her last real conversation with Jeff.

“He knew that a year ago,” Kim says rolling her eyes. “I dumped him at the hospital when Leah was fighting for her life because he still loved her. I can’t believe he went another full year hoping that she’d leave Robbie or something.”

“Well, what’s done is done. I just hope he finds peace,” Madeline says.

“Me too,” Kim replies.

“Me three,” Reese laughs. “I know how it feels to see someone you love be with someone else.”

Kim arches her eyebrow. “Are you talking about …?”

“Andy?” he replies before taking some of his wine. “Don’t tell him, okay? I know he’s with JC now and I don’t want to complicate things for him, but yes, I do still love him.”

“I won’t tell him, it’s not my place,” Kim replies, quickly thinking of her brother and his new found romance with JC.

“Oh god, I can’t believe this,” Madeline interrupts pointing over to Will, who just came into the restaurant and is waiting for his pick up at the bar. “I don’t want to see him. Not today.”

“Just relax, he’s not coming over,” Reese tells her. “And plus, we agreed to work on this together, remember?”

“Not today Reese, not today.”

Kim turns around and spots Will at the bar waiting there. She turns back to the siblings. “Can you guys excuse me for a minute? I actually want to go see Will for a minute,” she says before she stands up and rushes over to the bar. “Will, hey,” she greets him with a quick hug.

“How are you?” he asks before he grabs his brown bag from the waitress. “Keep the change.”

“I’m good. Are you free later? I was hoping we could get together and go over our plan to bring down Ryan.”

Scene Four -- The Tower’s, Floor Eight; Victoria’s Condo

Victoria opens the door and sees Chris standing on the other side of the door. “This is a surprise,” she smiles as he walks in. Before their last time together, Victoria may have been concerned that Chris was visiting her, but they made love before Leah’s welcome home party so things are seemingly back on track, or at least she hopes they are. Plus, she has started the ball rolling on the annulment to Vinny. Her and Chris should be able to get back to normal now.

“I had to come see you,” he replies to her as he turns and faces her. He watches her and knows that he is about to hurt her, but he has to do what he thinks is right and he believes in his heart he is doing the right thing.

“Did you?” she asks with a sly smile on her face wondering if he’s come over to make love to her again.

“Listen Vic, I care for you a lot. And I know you care about me…” Chris begins to tell her as he puts his hands in his pockets.

“Wait,” she stops him, confused as to what is happening. “This almost sounds like …”

“I’m breaking up with you?” Chris asks with a certain sadness in his voice. He looks at Victoria and can see how sad she looks, however he knows he has to stay strong. The last few days the only thing in his mind have been Daisy’s words to him at the party, reminding him that he has to be a good role model for Andrew now and dating a married woman is not being a good role model. “I guess I am. I mean, for the time being.”

“I don’t understand, last time we saw each other we made love. It felt like old times,” she says trying not to cry.

“It was, but you know Vic, you’re married to Vinny and regardless of how that happened or why it happened, it did happen. I was just reminded that I have a son and I have to be a good role model for him. Dating a married woman isn’t exactly a good role model, is it?”

“This is Daisy’s doing, isn’t it? She put you up to this!”

“Leave Daisy out of it. I’m ending things because I have to be a good father to Andrew. I can’t screw that up,” Chris tells her. “Look, things can go back to normal once you’re annulment has come through. But until then, we shouldn’t see each other.”

Victoria watches as he walks past her and goes to the door. She turns and sees him open the door. She wants to say something to him, but nothing forms in her head to say. What can she say? What can she do? She watches the door close and then finally lets a tear fall from her eye. She turns and sighs and composes herself. She doesn’t want to cry over Chris, not when he is the one making this rash decision. She remembers Vinny telling her that maybe they shouldn’t get an annulment, and wonders if he’s been right the entire time.

Scene Five -- The Victors House; Vinny & Meggan’s Home

Meggan enters the living room and sees Vinny reading a book on the sofa. He has a glass of water beside him resting on the end table. She pauses before she comes in and quickly puts another breath mint in her mouth. She knows after the scene she made at Leahs’ welcome home party that Vinny is not going to be happy with her and she has to pretend that she hasn’t been drinking. In reality, she just polished off another bottle of vodka upstairs in the study. Something that Vinny doesn’t need to know.

“Hi,” she says walking confidently into the living room.

“How are you feeling?” he asks not looking up from his book. The last thing he wants to do is get into another fight with her about her drinking, but he really needs her to stop. He’s never felt so embarrassed as he was at the party when Leah demanded that he take Meggan home. He can’t believe that she would let her drinking get that out of control.

“I’m feeling fine, why do you ask?” she asks, trying to stay civil.

“Because every time I see you these days you’re drunk. Or you’re on your way to getting drunk,” he says finally closing his book and looking at her. “Do you even remember what happened at the party?”

“Yes I remember! I haven’t had a drink since!” she lies to him. “The party made me realize that I need to stop drinking. Leah is right, I don’t want to hurt someone else.”

“You must be talking about Noah?” he assumes. “Forget the fact that you claim to love me but every time you drink you hurt me.”

“Oh, is that why you married Victoria?”

He stands up and begins to walk out of the room, tired of fighting with Meggan. “Please don’t leave!” she cries to him. He stops and looks at her. She’s standing in the living room practically sobbing on the floor in tears.

“You are drunk,” he whispers to her as he comes up to her and hugs her. “Can you please let me help you?”

She starts to shake as they exit their embrace, “I thought to myself, if I never leave the house I will never hurt someone else like I did with Noah,” she reveals to him. “So, I did drink when I was upstairs. I was hoping that you wouldn’t notice because I am trying to make an effort with you Vinny. I really don’t want to hurt you.”

Vinny looks into her eyes and sees how glazed over she is. He doesn’t recognize her at all and the thought makes him feel so sad. “I just told you Meg, every time you drink you’re hurting me. I hate seeing you like this. It … it breaks my heart.”

Meggan kisses him impulsively, but he quickly throws her off of him. “Just give us a chance Vinny. We can be good together, like we used to be!”

Vinny shakes his head at her, “We can’t be together Meggan. Not until your sober. You have to stop drinking for me to even consider getting back together with you.”

Before she can respond, he’s walking out of the room. He had nothing else to say, and she knows it. She wipes her eyes wondering if she can stay sober long enough to get Vinny back. At least if she had Vinny and her marriage back she could have something to look forward too. She turns and sees the bar. She walks over to it and pours herself another drink. “Is that why you married Victoria?” she asks herself as she smells her drink. “Because she doesn’t get drunk all the time?”

She looks back and doesn’t see Vinny in the room still. She turns back around and slams her drink back, placing the empty glass back on the bar ledge. Suddenly Vinny comes back into the living room and sees Meggan standing at the bar. “Did you just have another drink?”

Meggan freezes and turns around, “No,” she lies to him.

“I want you to move out Meggan!” he yells at her realizing that she’s lying to him again. “No more freeloading. I won’t have a drunk in my house! You have a week to pack up and get out!” he yells at her, fed up and not knowing what to do next.

Scene Six -- The Cascade Apartments, Apartment 202; JC & Andy’s Home

Andy looks over at JC, who is fast asleep in the bed next to him. Andy is tired himself after the hot sex he and JC just had, but he can’t sleep. He can’t help but think of what JC told him earlier in the day; Reese is still in love with him. He smiles then looks over at his lover in the bed next to him. Why do I feel so conflicted? He asks himself. I’m with JC now, Reese is my past, he tells himself.

He shuts his eyes hoping to join JC with a nap, but when he closes his eyes he can’t stop thinking about Reese.

[FLASH]

Andy pulls Reese's hanging head up and looks at him.

"You're the bravest person I met. Coming out at such a young age. It could not have been easy. You have so much to be proud of. Madeline will come back one day, I know she will," he smiles at Reese.

Reese looks at Andy's face. He moves in and kisses Andy passionately. Andy puts his hand behind Reese's head and responds. Their lips unite. Reese starts to unbutton Andy's shirt and soon both men are shirtless. Andy backs away from Reese's lips when Reese starts to unbuckle Andy's belt.

"Are you ready?" Reese asks.

Andy kisses him and finishes taking off his own belt. "So ready ..." he says whispering into Reese's ear before his mouth finds his neck. Reese lets out a deep sigh as his hands continue to unbutton Andy's jeans.

[FLASH]

Andy opens his eyes and sits up in the bed. He looks over at JC, who is still fast asleep. “Why am I thinking about Reese all of a sudden?” he asks himself. He cuddles up to JC, who turns over and grabs Andy’s hand. Andy hears JC mumble the words “I love you” in his sleep. He shuts his eyes, hoping that being closer to JC will keep his mind off his ex boyfriend.

Scene Seven -- The Michaels House; Chris, Daisy, Trenyce & Andrew’s Home

Chris opens the door to his house and drops his briefcase by the front door. It’s unusually quiet in the house, which doesn’t alarm him. He doesn’t hear any music coming from Trenyce’s room, which must mean that she’s still at school. He doesn’t hear Andrew crying, which must mean that he’s sleeping.

“Hello?” he calls out as he enters the living room.

“Sshh,” Daisy says quietly as she comes into the living room from the kitchen. “I just put Andrew down. He’s been fussy most of the day.”

“Ah, I think he’s teething,” Chris tells her as he loosens his tie.

“Yea, he is. I can see a tooth just beneath his gum,” Daisy smiles, thinking of how proud she is of Andrew. “It’s amazing, huh?”

“What’s that?”

“You and I, living together again and raising a baby. It almost seems like … old times,” she says before she catches herself strolling down memory lane.

“It’s like a picture of what could have been.”

“Only the baby wouldn’t have been my niece’s, but yes,” she says with a small laugh, even though she knows that he’s not amused that she once again brought up one of his affairs. “Sorry.”

“No, it’s cool,” he tells her. To make up for it, he quickly continues, “I dumped Victoria today. What you said about me being a good role model to Andrew, you were right.”

Daisy’s eyes widen, surprised that Chris listened to her within regards to not dating a married woman. She didn’t think he would act so quickly on it, if at all.

“You’re not saying anything,” he smiles to her.

“I guess I’m just surprised,” she admits to him. “I mean, good for you. You are doing the right thing for your son.”

She walks up to him and hugs him. “Thanks Daisy. I just want to do what’s right for Andrew, you know? And like I told Vic, if she gets her married to Vinny annulled, who knows what’ll happen.”

“Do you think they will?” Daisy asks, still hugging him.

“I don’t know,” he says as he finally starts to exit the embrace. “It’s not really up to me.”

Daisy stops and looks at Chris and smiles at him. “I’m proud of you,” she tells him. “You really did a good thing.”

“Thanks,” he smiles back to her. And before he knows it, he leans in and kisses her on the lips. The kiss doesn’t last long as she quickly pulls away. She rushes out of the room not sure how to handle the kiss. Chris stops and smiles for a second, taking a moment to realize what just occurred.

Scene Eight -- Will’s Apartment

Will paces around the living room of his tiny apartment as Kim is in the other room getting ready for her part in carrying out their plan to bring Ryan down. He’s feeling so many emotions right now. He’s on a high because he knows that he’s about to bring down someone that has never been a good person. Plus, it’s good that his mind is on something else other than Olivia and her death.

“How’s it going in there?” he calls out to Kim.

“Good, just give me a couple more minutes,” she says from inside the bathroom.

He’s about to respond when his phone rings. He rushes over to grab it. “Hello?,” he says into his cell phone. “Yes this is Will Coutts … What? You’re kidding me! … I can’t believe this! Thank you so much!”

Will hangs up the phone and smiles. He looks up to the sky and gets a small tear in his eyes. “Thank you,” he says up to the sky as he just found out that Olivia left him $3 million dollars in her will. He looks around and realizes that he’ll be able to upgrade from this shitty apartment that he’s been renting. He laughs, wondering how Madeline took the news that he was going to be getting some of his mother’s money. Some kind of karma, he thinks after how mean she has been to him.

“Are you okay?” he hears Kim call out. He turns around and doesn’t even recognize Kim. She’s wearing a short red-haired wig and heavy make up. She has on a tight black mini shirt and a purple halter top.

“Kim?”

“It’s me, I told you, it has to look real,” she smiles over to him. “Who was on the phone?”

“Lois Kam,” he replies to her. “Olivia left me 3 million dollars in her will!” he reports excitedly.

“Oh my god,” she says looking at him and hugging him. “I know it’s not the best way to come into money, but it’s a nice final gift to say the least.”

“That’s what I was thinking. And it proves what I’ve been saying all along, Olivia did love me. And I loved her. I still do,” he tells her, thinking of all his good times with Olivia. “Anyways, we have to focus if this is going to work. You look great, I didn’t recognize you at first! Did you get that cell phone?”

Kim smiles as she pulls a phone out of her purse. “I got this from Robbie. He said some hooker had it on her when she was brought in a few days ago.”

“And he gave it to you?” Will asks with a bit of uncertainty.

“I told him I was doing something to help Natasha, so he agreed. We can never tell anyone, or else he’ll get in trouble,” she tells him, swearing him to secrecy. “Plus, you’ll call him when the time is right.”

“Okay, let’s do this!” Will says ready to bust Ryan.

Kim flips open the old cell phone and types a text message that reads, “I need a fix. Can you meet me? I have cash!”. Then she proceeds to type in Ryan’s phone number in the send to box. She pushes the send button and looks at Will. “Perfect, now all we have to do is wait.”
