The Pink Flamingo at the River
Rock Casino
The restaurant has been closed to the public for the evening
as a match making firm has rented out the space for their speed dating event.
There are multiple small tables for two arranged; the people that are seated up
against the wall will remain at their table, while the others will sit across
from them for 10 minutes to see if there is a connection between them. At
one table, Paige sits nervously. She is wearing a simple black dress and has her
hair pulled back into a ponytail. She knows that she only joined this speed dating
event because in her therapy session with Cassie, she suggested that Paige needs
to move on which will help her move beyond everything that occurred with Will
over the last year or so. "Alright, if everyone is ready, we will
have our first set of dates come out," the host announces to all the people
already sitting at their tables. "Remember, you only have ten minutes with
each date; make each moment count
and have fun! This should be a good time!"
Paige chuckles back with the group as the first set of men move into the restaurant.
Paige looks down and then realizes that someone has sat across from her. She looks
up and gasps in surprise. "Greg?" she asks as she looks at the
doctor sitting across from her. "What
what are you doing here?"
"Looks like the same thing as you," he chuckles back to her. "It's
nice to see you, again, Paige." Twin Peaks General Hospital
"You're
pacing and it's driving me crazy," Victoria nervously chuckles as she sits
on a bed in one of the rooms at the hospital. Earlier in the day, Victoria had
been at her condo when she realized that she was late with her period so she wondered
if she was pregnant with Jeff's child. Not wanting to go through this alone, she
called her mother, who agreed to go to the hospital with her to have some tests
run. They are just waiting to hear back from Shane now. "My daughter,
who has claimed to never wanted children, might be pregnant," Eva turns to
her and chuckles. "Can you blame me for being a mix of nervous and excited?"
"I can't because I am feeling the exact same way," Victoria admits
to her. "I've even ended relationships because I didn't want a child and
my partner did. This is nothing that I ever could have planned or imagine would
happen to me." "But if you are pregnant, Victoria," Eva
looks back at her daughter. "How will you feel? Will you be happy about it?"
"I
I don't know," Victoria tells her. "I guess I won't
have a choice. If I am pregnant, I will be having Jeff's baby, and that would
be a sign that we are meant to be together. After all we have been through, it
would be a sign that we are on the right track." Just then, Shane
opens the door to the room and moves inside. "How are you feeling, Victoria?"
"Fine," Victoria nods back to him. "Like I said, I just came
in because I realized that I was late." "Yup and there is a
good reason for that," Shane explains to her. "You're pregnant, Victoria.
The tests I can confirmed that you're carrying a baby." "Oh
darling, this is wonderful," Eva clasps her hands together as she moves up
to Victoria, who sits in shock. Eva hugs her daughter while Victoria wonders what
she is going to do as becoming a mother was the very last thing she ever expected
would happen to her. The Park Andy sits on a bench that
overlooks the river. He has a flask in his hand that has whiskey in it and he
is enjoying a drink while enjoying the warmer air. After coming close to, potentially,
losing his freedom, he has been trying to avoid more of the simple things in life,
which includes the evening summer air. He turns his head when he hears
voices from behind him. He rolls his eyes when he sees Meggan and Jeff walking
side by side, clearly they just left the Sugarbowl as they each have an iced tea
in their hands. The last thing Andy wants to do is see Logan's parents as they
have been strongly opposed to them being together. "Meggan, don't,"
Jeff warns her as she sees Andy and she makes a beeline towards the bench where
he is. "Hello Andy," Meggan announces as she reaches him.
Andy takes a swig from his flask before he looks up at Meggan. "Good
evening," he replies to her. "Here to accuse me of assaulting someone
else?" "You have to understand something," Meggan puts
her hand on her hip as Jeff arrives behind her. "I was, I am, trying to protect
my son." "Your son is a grown man," Andy huffs back to
her. "He can make his own decisions." "I have been where
you are," Meggan tells him. "So deep into the bottle that you can't
see any thing else. I
I don't want that for my son. Look Andy, I wouldn't
have any issue if you would get sober." "That's not your call
to make," Andy replies to her before he takes another sip from his flask.
"All I want is for you to leave me alone, Meggan. Jeff, please, tell her
to stay away from me!" "I will stay away from you if you get
sober or if you stay away from my son," Meggan tells him. "Until then,
you're going to be seeing a lot more of me, so get used to that." "Okay,
that's enough," Jeff tells Meggan. "Let's carry on before this gets
out of hand." "You stay away from me!" Andy yells at them
as they walk away from him. "You stay the hell away from me!" The
Richardson Estate; Meggan, Donovan, & Logan's Home
"This is
a nice place your family has," Jarrod tells Logan as they move into the study
of the Richardson estate. He stopped by to see his friend and was lucky enough
to get a tour of the large mansion that Logan resides in with his family.
Logan chuckles back to him. "Thanks, I've lived here my entire life,
so I don't really know anything different." "Sounds like my
ex," Jarrod admits to him as Logan makes two drinks at the bar. "His
mother is incredibly wealthy, and he is living in one of her estates here in the
city." "One of her estates?" Logan asks him as he passes
him a drink and then sits next to him. "That must be nice." "I
don't know," Jarrod replies to him. "Sometimes money can get in the
way true happiness." "Do you feel happy right now?"
Jarrod takes a sip of his cocktail before he looks back at him. "I am
getting there," he tells him. "I have this new job and that has given
me a new inspiration. I
I think I was stuck in trying to re-create the past
for so long that I was forgetting what was in front of me: my future."
"I guess that is why you and your ex didn't work out, then?"
"It's complicated but yes, that is a factor. How about you?"
"It is weird," Logan reveals to him. "The last little while
I've had these
feelings
for a man," he continues to explain as
Jarrod nods back to him. "Why is that weird?" "For
so long, I was just attracted to women," Logan reveals to him. "And
then this thing with Andy happened and
" "Can I be honest
with you?" Jarrod asks as Logan nods back to him. "I was with women
too when I was younger. A lot of us guys that now identify as gay, or homosexual,
started out with women because we weren't sure we could explain the feelings we
had towards other men. It's not that uncommon, Logan. The truth is, you're likely
attracted to personality not the gender of the person. And that's totally okay
and cool, Logan. All that matters is that you're happy." "I'll
drink to that," Logan says as they toast glasses together. "Thanks for
stopping by, Jarrod. It's nice to have a friend to talk to about this stuff."
"Anytime, and I agree. It's nice to have a friend in this town,"
Jarrod smiles before he takes a sip of his drink. Twin Peaks Police
Station
"Well, I do agree with you mi hermana, the evidence against
Cheresa is pretty overwhelming," Sergio sighs to Simonas they sit across
from one another in her office at the police station. Simona just finished showing
her brother the case against Cheresa in Tara's murder. The only thing that Sergio
is struggling to understand is why Cheresa would leave the black garbage bag under
her bed; it seems to obvious. Had she really killed Tara, she, likely, would have
wanted to get rid of the evidence. "The black bag under bed seems odd though."
"I thought of that too," Simona replies to him. "Maybe she
was just waiting for the time to be right? Wait for the smoke to clear, then dispose
of the evidence?" "I suppose. It feels like there is something
else going on here." "There might be," Simona nods back
to him. "But for right now, I think we have the culprit. How about you and
I head out and get a late-night drink? I know I could use one." "Yea,
me too," Sergio says as he checks his phone and doesn't see a new message
from Donovan. "Is everything okay? What's going on, Sergio? You look
upset by something." "It's
nothing
" "It's
not nothing," Simona says as she sits next to him. "Is it about Donovan?
Are things not going well?" "He's working with Jarrod,"
Sergio reveals to him. "Jarrod and Nicholas recently split up. Jarrod is
a very attractive young man. I'm
I'm trying not to let my insecurities get
the best of me
" "But, Donovan has strayed before,"
Simona reminds him. "And that can be a difficult pill to swallow. I am sorry
that you're going through this. Do you want my advice?" "Of
course." "Trust your gut," Simona tells her brother. "If
you think that something is going on between Donovan and Jarrod, there likely
is. And the last thing that I want for you is to be betrayed again, Sergio. Now,
come on, let's go get that drink. You
you clearly need one too."
The Young Mansion; Nicholas' Home
"This is a pleasant surprise,"
Nicholas says as he welcomes Donovan into his lavish mansion. They move into the
living room where Nicholas turns to his friend. "Can I offer you a drink?"
"Uh, sure," Donovan nods back to him. "I'll have a glass of
wine if you have any." "Of course," Nicholas says as he
moves to the bar. "Not that I mind, but what brings you by tonight?"
Donovan chuckles. "I
I don't know if you've heard but Jarrod is
working with me at Robertson Enterprises now." "Yes, I did hear,"
Nicholas says as he passes Donovan a glass of wine. "How is that going?"
"It's going well," Donovan admits to him. "Jarrod is bringing
a lot of fresh, great ideas. And he and I, we've become friends." Nicholas
gulps back to him with an arched eyebrow. "Is that why you stopped by tonight?
To tell me that you're friends with my ex?" "No," Donovan
says back to him quickly. "But he has told me that you two are over and I
wanted to see how you're doing, Nicholas. I know that you had a difficult decision
to make when Jarrod first came back to Twin Peaks." "I had to
choose between him and Andy," Nicholas recalls his choice that he had to
make. "I
I feel awful about what has happened to Andy. I still think
that I am to blame for all of it." "You're not," Donovan
tells him. "Andy is a grown man; he can make his own decisions."
"I know that in theory," Nicholas sighs. "The truth is, I don't
know that he would have made those decisions had I not left him. And why did I
leave him? For a man that left me? This all seems so
screwed up."
"Just because I told you that Jarrod and I are friends, doesn't mean
that I stopped caring about you, Nicholas," Donovan pulls him into a hug.
"Please know that you can reach out to me if you ever need to talk. You don't
need to go through this alone." "Thanks," Nicholas tells
him as they exit their embrace. "I am trying, I really am, but I am struggling
with everything that is going on right now. And sometimes, I don't know if I will
make it through to the other side." The Pink Flamingo at the River
Rock Casino About 7 minutes have passed and Paige and Greg find themselves
laughing with one another during the speed dating session, which has come as a
surprise to both of them. Once they got over the shock of seeing one another,
they have ended up having a splendid time. "Okay, I know our time
is coming up, but I have to ask you something," Paige says as she looks back
at Greg with intent. "You can ask me anything, I'm an open book,"
Greg reveals to her. "So, ask away." "Why did you come
here tonight? I didn't realize you were back in town." "I only
just got back a few days ago," Greg reveals to her. "I wanted to surprise
my girls because Dawn came home from the hospital. I had already signed up when
Cheresa was arrested, but I decided to come anyways because there's nothing I
can do about that tonight." "I heard about that, I am so sorry,"
Paige tells him. "I
I don't think anyone that knows Cheresa believes
that she could have killed that woman." "Let's just hope the
police come to that same conclusion," Greg says back to her. Just
then, the host comes onto the microphone. "Alright folks, that is 10 minutes,
we will have the dates stand up and move to the next table." Greg
slowly stands up and looks back at Paige. "This was
nice, Paige. Really
nice." Paige feels her cheeks flush. "Yes, I agree, Greg."
The Lawson Estate; Abby, Cheresa, Ethan, & Georgina's Home
Abby slowly moves into the washroom and takes another deep breath. She feels
small beads of sweat forming on her forehead. She sees the home pregnancy test
sitting on the counter. She shuts her eyes for a moment and quietly prays that
she is not carrying a child. She, then, opens her eyes and moves to the
counter, where she picks up the pregnancy test. "Oh my God,"
she gasps outloud. "I'm
I'm pregnant. I'm going to have a baby."
She feels her world start to cave in around as she knows what this means:
she has no idea if Ethan, or Max, is the father of this child. And the answer
to that question could change her entire future forever. Next on One
