Scene One -- Grayson’s Road

The sun emerges from the clouds above the sky. The rain from yesterday is long gone and the sun hopes to dry things off after such a horrible storm. The storm that created havoc. Grayson’s Road has always been a road to avoid during storms, whether it be rain or snow. The road travels from Twin Peaks up to a remote location on the mountain just north of the city. It is the road you take to get to Caldwell’s Mountain Resort, and should you keep going, you will eventually arrive at the Calimo Cabin.

There are two fire trucks and an ambulance on the road today. Lightening struck a tree, which fell over during the storm. The tree didn’t crash into the ground, however. There was an SUV that had crashed into the fence post and another tree. The tree struck by lightening fell on top of the crashed SUV.

Workers are trying their best to remove the large tree to get to the passengers inside. Based on the blood on the windshield, no one is giving the passengers much hope. Still, they have to get to them to confirm that they have passed.

The tree is lifted off the SUV and immediately the EMS workers rush to the doors of the SUV. After some work, the doors are removed. In the driver seat is a woman and in the passenger seat is a man. Neither one is breathing. No one is alive.

Scene Two – The Calimo Mansion; Bob & Sofia’s Home

Sofia sets her coffee cup down on the small matching glass plate and looks over at Bob, who takes a bite of his toast. “Who could that be at this hour of the morning?” Sofia asks him as she hears the doorbell ring.

Bob smirks at how easily irritated his wife can get over small things and wipes his mouth, “No worries my dear, Rosario will get the door. I’m sure it’s nothing.”

“You’re probably right. What’s on your agenda today?”

Before Bob can respond, Eva bursts into the dinning room with Rosario following behind her. “I’m so sorry Mr. and Mrs. Calimo, she wouldn’t listen to me when I told her that you were in the middle of breakfast,” Rosario tells them, almost defending herself as it’s extremely unusual for Bob and Sofia to be interrupted during a meal.

“It’s fine Rosario, thank you,” Bob explains as he waves Rosario out of the room.

“Eva, what is it now?” Sofia quickly snaps at her. “You do realize that you’re interrupting us, don’t you? Who arrives unannounced at this hour?”

“This is important,” Eva responds to them, looking somewhat desperate.

“Make if quick then,” Sofia tells her as she takes a drink of her coffee.

“It’s about Natasha. We have to talk about her.”

Sofia looks over at Bob uneasily. She and Bob have been trying to think of a way to get through to Natasha in this rough time, but have yet to come up with anything concrete. With the news that Natasha has been hanging around Ryan, they know that time is even more precious. The last thing she wants is to hear from Eva, however, especially since she blames Eva for this mess.

“We are listening. What do you have to say,” Bob tells her as he looks over at Sofia. Their eyes meet, he telling her with his look that they could us the help where their daughter is concerned.

“I haven’t seen or heard from her since the day in the hospital when the truth came out. I’m worried about her. I don’t expect her to forgive me or understand what happened, but I would at least like to know that she is okay,” Eva tells them, knowing that not knowing about Natasha is driving her crazy. While she would love to have a relationship with her daughter, she knows that it may never happen. Still, she would like to know that Natasha is okay. “I don’t think she’s coping very well.”

“We haven’t heard from her,” Bob admits to her in a low whisper, almost ashamed of what his relationship with his daughter has become.

“Your quest to reveal the truth has hurt Natasha in so many ways, it’s unbearable for her right now,” Sofia continues with her bad attitude with Eva.

“Don’t do this Sofia,” Eva pleads with them as she comes up to the table. “Don’t play the blame game. We are all partly responsible for the truth coming out. We are all to blame for Natasha’s pain right now.”

“How dare you!” Sofia spits back at Eva.

“No, Sofia, it’s okay. She’s right. We are all to blame,” Bob replies, shocking Sofia. “We need to get Natasha back before it’s too late.”

“The question is, what can we do to help her? We need to work together to get her to understand our side,” Eva says, feeding from Bob’s admission that Natasha is drifting away.

Bob arches his eyebrow. “I’m afraid that’s going to be harder than expected. If Natasha doesn’t want to talk to us, how can we get through to her.”

“I don’t know. But if we work together, we can come with something. What do you guys think? Can we work together to get Natasha back?” Eva asks them, hopeful that they will be put their differences aside for Natasha’s sake.

“Sofia…” Bob begins to say as their eyes meet again. She quickly rolls her eyes knowing that Bob wants to take her up on her offer to work together to try to get Natasha back. She knows that she has to stand united with her husband, she doesn’t want it to come across that they are not on a united front. She smiles back and looks up at Eva.

“Fine, yes. Let’s get Natasha back,” she says calmly, even though she thinks that working with Eva McCloud may be the worst idea yet.

Scene Three – Top of the Peak Motel, Room 13

Ryan rolls over in the bed, crawling off a naked Natasha, a little sweaty and out of breath. He looks over at her and smiles to himself. He never imagined that after Kim dumped him, he would end up with another bombshell like Natasha. Not only does he get to have sex with her when he wants too, he now has someone to get high with. He has been into drugs for awhile, and it was something he had to hide while he was dating Kim. With Natasha, he feels like he can be more open. He reaches for his phone on the nightstand and sees seven new text messages. Each one, as he opens them, is from another client asking for more drugs. He looks at the date and realizes he hasn’t sold any drugs for about week, which means he’s out of money. He hadn’t realized how much time he had been spending with Natasha in the hotel room.

“Crap,” he says as he sits up, causing Natasha to look over at him.

“What’s wrong?” she asks getting out of bed quickly and rushing over to her robe as the cool air chills her naked body. She looks back quickly and realizes how comfortable she has become in the seedy hotel room. She wakes up with Ryan every day, get highs and gets laid and continues to do it again and again. She doesn’t even have to think about the pain from her parents lies anymore, and that’s the way she likes it.

“I should go to work,” he explains to her, knowing that he really has to get some drugs to sell.

“Work? You‘ve never mentioned work before,” she asks, slightly taken aback that she might actually have to stay alone in the hotel room for awhile. She doesn’t like the idea of being alone right now. She is craving another fix and Ryan’s company. “Aren’t we having fun together in the hotel room?” she slyly grins over at him.

“Of course we are, but …” he says as they hear a knock on the front door.

“McQuillan? Are you in there?” a voice calls out from outside. “It’s the motel manager, you’re behind on your payment!”

Ryan gulps and quickly pulls up his boxer shorts. He looks at Natasha, “See this is why I have to go to work.”

“This motel room can’t be too expensive Ryan, I mean look at this place! Let me handle this,” Natasha tells him as she walks over to the door. She opens and greets the motel manager. “Here’s my Gold American Express. Charge the room to this card please,” she smiles as she hands the motel manager her credit card.

The manager examines the credit card and looks at the name on the card. “You’re Natasha Calimo? From the Calimo family?”

Natasha smiles, “That’s me. Charge the room and send me the bill. Thank you,” she says ushering him out. “Oh, and in the future, please don’t disturb us.”

After the manager has left, she turns and looks at Ryan. “See, that was easy.”

“Wow, I had no idea that you had so much money,” Ryan lies to her. Everyone knows that the Calimo money has loads of money. He just knew he had to play his cards right before using Natasha’s money to his advantage. Now that he doesn’t have to pay for a place to live, he really doesn’t have to go back to selling drugs, at least not yet. He can do what he wants, when he wants -- and that’s something he couldn’t be more happy about.

Natasha smiles. “I’ll get the room, as long as you ensure I’m always kept happy with my … fixes,” she tells him, not wanting to use the word drugs. While she has been enjoying doing drugs, she can’t bring herself to admit that she is a drug user. For so many years, she was putting drug users in jail as a lawyer, she doesn’t want to equate herself to those people. Plus, she’s not getting high because she has to, she’s getting high to numb the pain in her heart; there’s a difference.

“My pleasure,” Ryan grins at her as he gets up and kisses her passionately. He slowly unties her robe and starts kissing her neck and his hand grabs her bare breast. “Round two before our next fix?”

“What is it?” she purrs as she tugs his boxes off.

“More cocaine,” he says in between nibbles of her breast.

“Mmm,” that sounds lovely. “Hurry Ryan, I need it.”

Scene Four – Twin Peaks General Hospital; Victoria’s Office

Victoria sits at her desk reviewing some patient’s files, even though her mind is on everything other than the files in front of her. She can’t help but think of the custody hearing ending; Daisy agreed to have custody of Andrew and then Chris went over to her and embraced both Daisy and Andrew. Even Trenyce was in the action at the end with the family. On one hand, she is thrilled that Chris will be apart of Andrew’s life, but on the other hand she can’t help but worry about how this will effect her relationship with him.

Even before the custody hearing began, she was feeling insecure about Chris and Daisy’s relationship and history together. Every time they are together, she feels like they are still drawn together and she knows that she can’t compete with the history; she doesn’t want to compete with the history. Now with Daisy having Andrew, Chris is even more bound to her. Victoria hates the idea of them spending time together, even though Chris has reassured her time and time again he is committed to her. He has cheated before, what’s to stop him again? She shakes her head and tries to focus on the file in front of her until her door opens and there’s a knock.

“Knock, knock,” Vinny smiles as she comes into her office.

“Vinny, hey,” she smiles back at him, happy to see a distraction from her own thoughts.

“Am I interrupting?”

“Yes,” she admits. “But I could use the break. Sit down, what’s up?”

Vinny sighs and looks at his friend. Since his conversation with Meggan the other night, he has been conflicted. Not only is Meggan drinking again, she claims she wants to be drinking. He knows that it will only lead to some type of destructive behaviour, but he has no idea how to stop it. “I just wanted to vent to someone, I suppose,” he admits to her.

“Vent? About what? Are you okay?” Victoria asks, concerned for her friend.

“I’m fine, yes. It’s Meggan. She’s drinking again.”

“Oh gosh. Do you know this for sure?” she asks as he nods his head.

“I walked in and she was drinking. She didn’t even try to deny it. She told me she wants to drink. This happened after Preston told us that we aren’t legally married. She took it hard,” Vinny continues to explain to Victoria.

Victoria arches her eyebrow. “Well it’s not a huge surprise is it? Your brothers were impersonating you for so long, its obvious that you weren’t at the wedding.”

“That’s what I tried to tell her, but she didn’t listen. She thinks it’s another thing that Dave and Brett are taking away from us.”

“What are you doing to do?”

“I have no idea,” he admits to her. “She is so stubborn, I don’t know what will get through to her. I’m worried something bad will happen again.”

Victoria looks down at her calendar for a moment, as she just got an idea. Vinny notices a certain look in her eye. “What are you thinking?” he asks her.

“I have a few days off, why don’t we go on a trip together? I could use a break from Twin Peaks, and maybe if Meggan had some time alone it would help her sort out her head. What do you think?”

Vinny pauses and thinks about Victoria’s suggestion. Is going away right now a good idea? He doesn’t want to leave Meggan alone, but at the same time she is her own person and she does need to admit she has a problem first. Plus, after years of being locked up, getting out and exploring the world sounds like a breath of fresh air. “I think it’s a great idea. Some time away would be nice!”

“Great! Let’s book something then!” Victoria smiles, excited at the prospect of getting away for a few days.

“Chris won’t mind?” Vinny quickly asks before Victoria gets too excited.

Victoria pauses and then arches her eyebrow to her friend. “I don’t think so. He has a lot going on with his son right now anyways. He won’t even miss me.”

Scene Five – The Towers, The Penthouse; Cory & Robin’s Home

“Do you want me to get another box?” Melissa asks Robin as they put some of Robin’s belongings into the box which is almost full.

Robin stops, pauses and reflects for a moment. She touches the bandage on her face, where her face is still recovering from the acid that was thrown at her. She, after hearing Melissa’s story, still believes that Cory is responsible for setting up the attack and is now moving out of the penthouse that she shares with him. “Yes, please. I don’t have too much else that I need. Mostly clothing.”

Melissa comes up behind her daughter and puts her arms on Robin’s shoulders. “You’ll be okay. You’re doing the right thing.”

Robin turns and faces her mother. “I know,” she says as her eyes fill with water. “It’s just hard, you know? I never thought Cory would do something like this to me.”

“I know it’s hard to believe, but the evidence is there Robin. You can’t back down now,” Melissa encourages her daughter, knowing that she has gone to far now to turn back. She’s about to get her wish: to break up Cory and Robin for good. Her plan is working, but she can’t back down know; she knows she has to keep pushing Robin or everything will fall apart and she’s not willing to let that happen.

Robin is about to say something when the front door opens and Cory enters the penthouse. He sees the two women packing a box and immediately knows what’s happening. He can’t believe that Robin had him arrested, but that she’s now moving out of their home, all because of Melissa. He doesn’t stop walking from the door way over to the bar. He pours himself a drink and drinks it quickly. He knows that there’s no point in starting a conversation with Robin while Melissa is there.

“I’ll go upstairs and finish your clothes,” Melissa tells her, knowing that she wants time alone with Cory.

“Thanks Mom,” Robin says as she wipes her eyes as Melissa walks upstairs. She turns her attention to Cory, once Melissa is upstairs completely. “I thought you were in jail,” she says softly to him.

“Yea, thanks,” Cory responds, bitterly angry. “I’m surprised Mommy dearest didn’t tell you that I got out on bail.”

“You saw my mother?”

“Yup, at the coffee house. I swear to you Robin, she’s the one behind this attack. You should have seen how she was baiting me,” Cory recalls to her, desperate for her to understand, firmly believing that Melissa is responsible for the attack.

Robin turns around and remembers what Melissa was just telling her; the evidence is there that Cory could have set up the attack. Why would Melissa, her own mother, want to harm her? It doesn’t make sense to Robin. Melissa has been so supportive and truly making a honest effort to be a real mother to her since she’s been back in Twin Peaks. Why would Melissa want to ruin that? “Don’t blame my mother for this Cory. I know you guys have it out for each other, but just don’t blame her.”

“I didn’t do this Robin, I swear!” Cory tells her again as he comes up to her. She moves away from his touch.

“Please don’t,” she says in a whisper. “I’m moving out and staying with my mother. I shouldn’t be too much longer and I’ll out of your hair.”

“You don’t have to move out.”

“Yes, I do.”

Cory leaves it at that; he knows that he can’t get Robin to see the truth without proof, especially when Melissa is around. He sits down and watches as she packs, wondering how he can possibly uncover the fact that Melissa, not him, set up the attack at the premier. He has to prove his innocence. There has to be a clue out there, he just has to find it.

Scene Six – Twin Peaks Sun; Andy’s Office

Andy types fast and furiously on his keyboard for his article in the next edition of the Twin Peaks Sun for the next day. He continues to work quickly that he doesn’t see or hear JC enter his office. After a few moments, JC smiles and says, “Wow, you’re a man on a mission!”

Andy looks up, slightly surprised to see his lover in his office. “I’m trying to get this done. What’s up with you?”

“I was working on some layouts for tomorrow as well. I saw you in here and thought I’d come and say good morning,” JC admits to him, knowing that as soon as he saw Andy sitting in his office he had to have some kind of connection with him.

“That’s nice of you.”

“I missed you last night,” JC admits, noting that Andy didn’t stay over at his place, which has done a few times now.

Andy blushes a little and can’t help but think back to the end of the custody hearing when JC admitted to him that he had fallen for Andy. “I missed you too.”

“Could I come over tonight?” JC asks quickly, wanting to spend more time with Andy.

“It’s not a good idea at my place, Kim will be home and she’s having some girls over for a movie night,” Andy reveals as he sees JC’s face tense up. He keeps a smile on his face, but the twinkle in his eyes leaves. Andy can tell that JC is upset that he can’t stay over.

“I guess that’s part of the deal when you have a roommate,” JC says softly, trying to not sound too disappointed.

Andy smiles back at him, “It’s not that bad. You can come tomorrow if you want?”

JC shakes his head, “This is frustrating Andy.”

“What is?”

JC walks over to him and kneels down in front of Andy. “I want to see you in the morning. I want to say good morning to you. And kiss you before you go to work. I want to see you in the evening. And talk to you about your day over dinner. I want to go to sleep with you each night Andy.”

Andy blushes and smiles at JC’s speech. He’s not used to having a guy want to be with him so much. His relationship with Reese went so slowly and was filled with so much drama, this is a change of pace for him.

“What are you saying?”

“Move in with me,” JC tells Andy, shocking him. It has something that JC has been thinking about since the trial; he wanted to ask Andy after he took the stand for Trenyce, but he didn’t think it was the right time. He has fallen for Andy hard, this is just the natural next step for them to take.

“I…I don’t know what to say,” Andy admits to him as JC grabs his hands.

“Say yes. Follow your heart Andy, take a chance. On us. On me.”

Andy pauses for a moment and looks into JC’s eyes. He can’t see anything but this wonderful man that wants to be with him. He would be a fool to turn him down. He keeps telling himself that this relationship with JC is moving so fast, but at the same time it feels so right to him. It feels so great not having any drama. He takes a deep breath and smiles to JC. “Okay. Okay! I’ll move in with you!”

JC laughs, “Yes!” before he comes up and kisses Andy passionately, thrilled that Andy is going to take the next step with him.

Scene Seven – Madeline’s Condo

Madeline and Jeff lay beside each other in her bed, fresh from making love to each other. She rests her head on his smooth, hard chest and smiles. “That was amazing,” she tells him.

“It was. This arrangement of being there for each other is working out so nicely.”

“I couldn’t agree more,” she says as she kisses him on the lips.

“Do you mind if I go shower?” he asks as he sits up.

“Go ahead,” she says getting out of the bed and putting on her robe. “I should call my parents. I haven’t heard from them and I’m wondering how they’re doing.”

“Okay. Join me after? We could head to Capers after for breakfast?” Jeff asks Madeline, who quickly nods before he walks out of the bedroom.

Madeline walks down the stairs of her condo and reaches the living room. As she walks towards the telephone, she can’t help but wonder why she hasn’t heard from her parents, especially Olivia. She thought for sure after she told Preston the truth about Olivia’s affair with Will that she would have heard from her mother. She is about to pick up the phone, when it rings itself. “Speak of the devil,” she says to herself as she goes to answer the phone.

“Hello,” she says into the receiver.

“May I speak to Madeline Wilkins please,” the voice on the other end replies.

“This is she. May I ask who is calling?”

“This is Chief Jones, from the Twin Peaks Police Department.”

“Chief Jones, this is a surprise. How can I help you?” Madeline asks as she suddenly gets an uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach.

“It’s about your parents Madeline. I’m afraid I have bad news.”

“What is it? Tell me!”

“There was a car accident on Grayson road. Your parents were involved. I’m so sorry Madeline…”

“Sorry? Sorry for what? Are they are the hospital?” she asks as shock begins to set in.

“There’s no easy way to say this, but your parents are dead.”
